About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy CEO this is an exciting role supporting one of the UK’s leading social investors.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do, is organised and has excellent attention to detail. Key responsibilities
1. To work closely with the Grants, Investments, and Development, Insight and Advocacy teams to ensure that SIB is well-placed to respond proactively and also reactively to business development opportunities.
2. To support the coordination and project management of existing business development projects in community energy, heating and cooling, social investment fundraising and capacity building.
3. To ensure that information is managed effectively, calls logged and tasks delegated, progressed and completed, feedback collected and meetings scheduled and facilitated across the wider business development team, particularly in relation to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Director of Investments, ensuring their input is sought in a timely way to progress key decisions.
4. To manage a calendar of events, calls and contacts across key areas of business development.
5. To take a lead (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others to create and/or deliver presentations in new and existing business development.
6. To manage (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others maintain long-term relationships with both current and new clients and partners.
7. To monitor tendering opportunities and manage and update the new business development pipeline.
8. To implement new systems to improve the efficiency of the business development processes, alongside business systems.
9. To work with the financial team to build costing models for new proposals and programmes.
10. To coordinate high quality bid responses for invitations to tender from funders, investors and other key client groups, to ensure that these are well-written and professionally presented.
11. To coordinate and contribute to a clear strategy and objectives for the business development function at SIB.

Purpose of Role
The Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty.
The Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for a number of investments with Funded Partners, both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice, and be responsible for managing funding calls.
The Portfolio Manager will regularly collaborate within the team and across the organisation to support Comic Relief’s overall objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Funding management and relationships
Manage assigned funding portfolios and relationships with funded partners, ensuring that the portfolio is managed in a timely and responsive way, using Comic Relief's (CR's) systems and processes.
Manage all requirements, such as narrative, financial and risk reporting, collaborating across the funding team and wider Comic Relief as appropriate.
Work with the Assurance and Finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance across the portfolio with legal requirements, our grant conditions, reporting requirements and best practice.
Ensure or contribute to donor reporting and other information needs for external and internal use, such as information about our funded work and our partners.
Cross team/organization/sector collaboration
Coordinate with other funding team colleagues, including supporting other funding programmes when needed.
Work with the Partnerships Team to support strong relationships with existing and potential co-funding partners, including corporates and/or trusts, foundations and institutions, and support proposal development, reporting and other requirements.
Work collaboratively across CR to support storytelling around CR's impact.
Contribute to internal communications regarding the work of the Effects of Poverty team and the wider Funding Team.
Represent CR with strategic partners and co-funders, in relevant networks, and at external events.
General
Develop a basic understanding of all areas of social change that are prioritised by CR.
Manage the work of consultants and other contractors as required.
Communicate in an open, honest and transparent way with funding applicants, funded partners and funding partners.

ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) is a small animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats, and other animals in Romania and internationally. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. Since 2006, we have successfully neutered nearly 20,000 cats and dogs, significantly impacting Romania's severe overpopulation of animals.

The Operations team provides operational support to AIM (e.g., human resource management, finance, productivity). The team also supports our incubated charities, assisting with their initial set-up after the program so they can hit the ground running, as well as ongoing ad-hoc requests and advice as needed. Added to this, Operations supports other participants in programs run by AIM(e.g., people completing fellowships with our research team). While this is less than for the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, it increases as these programs mature.
Our Operations team currently consists of ~2.8 FTE – our Chief Operating Officer (previous Managing Director and CTO of Founders Pledge), our Director of Operations (with a mixed background in legal services, management consulting, and scale-up operations), and a Senior Operations Manager (with a background in risk and security management in low- and middle-income countries). The team also relies on external contractors for some of its functions (e.g., bookkeeping, legal advice).

APPLICATION PROCESS
Our application processes aim to be highly predictive, time-effective, and informative for you. Main Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver the income stream for the charity with fundraising strategies that support StreetVet’s mission. Responsibilities:
Fundraising Management and Development

About the position
The GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on the day-to-day operations of the Freedom Fund’s new Salesforce Grant Management System. The project to develop the new GMS is currently in progress, with user training expected to take place in January 2025 and the Go Live planned for February 2025. The transition to the new system will be a significant change in the organisation’s way of working; currently the Freedom Fund’s grant management process is manual and spread over multiple different platforms.
Initially, the focus of the role will be on supporting the Freedom Fund staff as they transition to using the new system, including assisting with user training and working with the implementation partner Hyphen8 to identify and resolve any issues that arise. Following Go Live, the GMS Support Manager will be responsible for leading on administration and maintenance of the system, requiring a good technical knowledge of how Salesforce works. The role will be responsible for user training and support, leading on staff consultation for future system developments and prioritising requests. The successful candidate will also act as the main point of contact between the Freedom Fund and implementation partner Hyphen8 for both ongoing support and future development phases.
Responsibilities
• Support the roll-out of the Freedom Fund’s new Grant Management System, including supporting Hyphen8 with user training and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the transition.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Salesforce system; including system performance, change control and user support
• Support the day-to-day administrative functions and configuration including user management, permissions, sharing rules, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, reports and dashboards
• Be proactive in system maintenance including keeping up with Salesforce releases, features and best practices
• Be the key point of contact between Freedom Fund and Hyphen8
• Understand the Freedom Fund’s needs and work with Hyphen8 (as appropriate) and staff to meet changes
• Decide how best to direct the core support hours provided by Hyphen8 during version upgrades in order to achieve the best results
• Understand and own the Freedom Fund’s Salesforce architecture including the data model, integrations (including with the finance system), reporting and analytics
• Maintain data quality by monitoring data and addressing the procedural issues which lead to loss of quality
• Promote the use of Salesforce across the Freedom Fund, optimising the return on investment in this capability
• Interpret and prioritise requests for GMS development and support
• Work with colleagues across the Freedom Fund to understand business needs, finding a suitable mixture of support, challenge and direction to enable colleagues to get the most from the GMS
• Deliver end user support and training to help colleagues use the system effectively
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal policies
• Train Freedom Fund IT Officer on core functionality of the new GMS

• Experience of leading the day-to-day operations of a Salesforce system; including expertise in system performance, change control and user support
• Good knowledge of Salesforce features and functionality
• Good working knowledge of GMS/CRM principles
• Experienced in requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, and documentation
• Strong business analyst with ability to think critically and strategically when gathering and validating requirements
