You will be delivering the programme with the support of our volunteers and working directly with freelance workers and community partners.
The successful candidate will have a good undersatnding of the needs and issues affecting older people including dementia awareness.
They will be able to work as part of a team and travel within Southwark and Lewisham. Great interpersonal skills required along with the ability to work to Age UK Lewisham and Southwark’s values to empower and enable older people to lead fulfilled lives.

About the role:
The British Museum's Advancement department is responsible for securing funds for the Museum from across a menu of different fundraising activities. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, and members in the corporate sector.
A key aspect of the role is to support the Head of Corporate Partnerships with the management of existing relationships with corporate supporters. You will inherit a portfolio of current supporters wherein they are expected to plan, initiate and deliver activities to manage, maintain and grow relationships.
Additionally, the role requires a large focus on business development with opportunity to increase team revenue from new corporate sponsors, partners and members. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will liaise across various departments within the Museum to develop proposals, marketing materials, reports, monthly network news, and a variety of other team resources.
Key areas of responsibility:
Income Generation
- To be responsible for the day to day management and renewal of an agreed upon number of corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis, recognising opportunities to increase revenue to sponsorship level when available.
- To recruit an agreed upon number of new corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis (securing multi-year agreements whenever possible).
- To play an active role in development of new business pitches (with the support of either the Manager Corporate Relations or Head of Corporate Relations).
Account Management
- Maintaining regular communications with corporate supporters in the assigned portfolio and cultivating the relationships for future giving.
- Ensuring the efficient and complete delivery of benefits in consultation with the Events team.
- Identifying and encouraging senior relationships across both organisations.
- Ensuring Raiser's Edge fundraising database is updated and holds accurate information for each relationship in the portfolio.
Administration
- Liaise with Museum stakeholders to supply accurate information for use in sponsorship/funding proposals for current and/or prospective corporate supporters (i.e. become a subject matter expert for the Corporate Relations team in certain agreed upon funding areas of interest).
- Responsible for new business research, identifying and approaching suitable prospects, as well as coordinating response to specific interested prospects.
About you:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- IT proficient as well as experience using databases.
- Keen understanding of fundraising practices and principles alongside project management experience.
- High level of organisation, attention to detail and administrative skills and able to work to tight deadlines across multiple departments.
- Confident, diplomatic, persuasive and professional, able to stay motivated and willing to work outside of normal office hours.

Global Fund for Children is looking for a Senior Manager to join our global Marketing and Communications Team in an exciting new role. Your main responsibility is to help us collectively deliver inspiring, impactful engagement that builds our brand relevance with our target audiences.
This role will work to develop integrated and cross-discipline marketing and communications plans that promote our work and reputation. You will collaborate with senior leadership and engage with key stakeholders, colleagues and partners around the world. You’ll create and implement strategies that elevate our profile, grow our key audiences and ensure our messaging resonates across all platforms.
You will be the strategic lead on our digital channels and are joining at a key moment of opportunity - we are launching a new website in October. We launched a new database and a new email system this summer and overhauled our look and feel as part of our 30th-anniversary activities earlier in 2024. You will lead on a new strand of work to develop our brand narrative, tone of voice and our key messages.
You will be obsessed with the quality and performance of all our outputs and have a track record of analysing data and results, making adjustments or complete pivots to ensure we achieve our ambitious goals and objectives.
You will be the lead for our work with high-profile influencers and celebrities as we continue to build our new global programme. About you
Essential experience and skills
Our ideal Senior Manager in Marketing and Communications will:
1) Have significant proven experience working in a high-functioning, target-driven Marketing and Communications team, where you have a track record of success in meeting targets and objectives.
2) Have significant relevant experience in leading multiple functions within a marketing and communications setting, this can be in any setting but must include leadership of Digital as part of your experience. Could also include Brand Narrative and Copy; Celebrities and Influencers; Events or others relevant to the role.
3) Have significant, proven experience in setting up, leading, and executing digital strategies to achieve ambitious targets across multiple channels
4) Be an experienced, value-led people manager, with a passion for supporting and developing people to achieve their potential.
5) Have event management experience – be highly organised, target and audience-focused, and be able to juggle multiple tasks, and stakeholders simultaneously.
6) Have experience working with high-profile, influential supporters to lead our Global Ambassador programme – Have the ability to identify prospects, and initiate and cultivate relationships.

Your role:
The Grantmaking Operations team sits within the Fund’s Operations department and is primarily focused on ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organizations. The team seeks to hire a Grants Specialist who will report to the Managers of Grantmaking Operations and manage the Fund’s most complex grantmaking programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
- Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a highly complex and high-volume portfolio of grants spanning 50+ countries.
- Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
- Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and flag potential areas of risk to the Manager of Grantmaking Policy and Models.
- Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
- Coordinate with Program and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.

- Prepare and organize applicant materials and prospective grantee documents for all LEF cohorts.

Database and Systems Administration

Commonweal is an independent charity working to investigate, pilot and champion housing based solutions to social injustice. Using our charitable resources, we provide experts and partner organisations with the opportunity to trial and test new approaches designed to enhance housing equality and justice. Independently evaluating each of our projects we share our experiences, using this learning to inspire new thinking. Through the replication of what works and the lessons from what doesn’t, we influence changes in policy and practice. In addition, we commission other research identifying and spotlighting new areas of housing injustice.
As Policy and Communications Manager, reporting directly to the CEO and working as part of and alongside our project leads you will formulate our policy messages. You will help lead on stakeholder engagement and growing the understanding across our sector of who Commonweal are and what we can offer. You will shape and then develop and deliver the strategy for effectively communicating our growing range of positive project findings and aligning our PR to public policy research initiatives. In short your role will be to put comms in to action!
You will need to have experience of the voluntary and community sector as well public policy, the political environment and its current and potential implications for the charity. You will be regularly presenting to Trustee Board meetings, ensuring Trustees and colleagues are involved and updated on external affairs activities to embed support for communications activities. You will be supported in this role by a Communications Officer therefore experience of staff management would be desirable but not necessarily essential.
You will possess experience of working in a communications or PR environment, with strong written skills and design skills along with demonstrable knowledge of a range of communication channels (including print, broadcast and online media). Experience of liaison with the press and media securing the take up of press releases, opinion pieces or other outputs is important.
Ideally you will have experience in the field of housing or, homelessness, but certainly a demonstrable interest in the positive role for housing whether professionally, personally or through lived experience. However, more important is demonstrable experience of policy research and stakeholder engagement, especially communicating to influence and deliver impact to Parliamentarians, local authorities and others across the voluntary sector and public service environment. Staff or volunteer management would be helpful however a track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are all a must.

ABOUT STRENGTH & STEM
Strength & Stem is a charity that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment. We believe that floristry can be used as a practical tool to help modern slavery survivors build a future for themselves, as well as a therapeutic tool in healing from trauma. Over eight months, we run holistic employability and skills training programmes during which participants undertake vocational floristry training, supplementary skills training, mentorship, and work experience.
The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programmes create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community. Ultimately, our programmes help survivors to regain dignity and hope and to move into a life of full independence and freedom.

Job title - Finance Manager
Responsible to - CEO
Hours - One day per week (7.5 hours per week). This is a fixed-term role for 12 months. We have a flexible working arrangement, so working hours do not have to be limited to a specific day of the week.
Based - This is a remote role; however, you must have the pre-existing right to work in the UK to be eligible for the position. Some in-person team meetings in central London will be required.
Salary - £35,000 per annum pro rata, equivalent to £7,000 for one day per week

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organisation. As the sole end-to-end finance position within Strength & Stem, the Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial activities, including bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the charity's mission.
Your skills and expertise in successful financial management will enable Strength & Stem to establish a stable financial foundation for the future, allowing our impactful and meaningful work with modern slavery survivors to flourish and grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager to shape and influence the effectiveness and sustainability of a small, ambitious charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Financial Management:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures with support from the Treasurer.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Perform the month-end process.
- Check employee expense claims and post them for payment.
- Compile bank runs and input them for approval.
- Raise any invoices and monitor late payments.
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record and categorise all financial transactions with corresponding receipts in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
Grant and Fund Management:
- Work closely with the Grants Manager to provide financial information for grant proposals and donor reports.
- Support the Grants Manager to manage grant budgets.
- Monitor and track restricted and unrestricted funds and grants to ensure compliance with donor requirements and complete spending.
- Producing receipts for donors and donor statements as required.
- Running and checking Gift Aid reporting to HMRC.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the CEO and Treasurer to prepare and monitor the charity’s annual budget.
- Provide financial projections and forecasts to aid Board decision-making.
- Track and report on budget variances.
- Assist the CEO with Budget and cashflow reporting.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- With the Treasurer, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Audit and Compliance:
- With the CEO, Treasurer and Company Secretary, ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate the production of the financial statements and act as a point of contact for independent review/audit.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure the organisation's operational needs are met.
- Support the Board by making investment recommendations in line with the charity's financial goals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills, qualifications, and experience
- A professional accounting qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
- Proven experience in financial management and bookkeeping, preferably in a charity context.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, financial modelling).
- Experience in performing month-end processes and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to identify and implement improvements in financial systems.
- Experience in educating and assisting non-financial team members in understanding financial systems.

They will have the attention to detail to maintain our charity selection methodology and dig into the details of the charities we support to report on their progress.

Main duties and responsibilities
Partnership-building (50% of work)
- Support GRP’s established partnership-building strategy, expanding to new audiences in line with approach devised by Head of Partnerships and Strategic Communications Manager
- Support efforts to expand and strengthening GRP’s relationships with UK financial intermediaries, including wealth managers, financial planners, financial advisers and financial coaches.
- Other targeted outreach to potential institutional partners and individual donors, including:
- Lead conversion through meetings and presentations
- Coordination and communication with high-value institutional or individual leads
Charity research and impact reporting (40% of work)
- Ongoing relationship management with GRP’s current recommended charities
- Six-monthly data-driven assessment and scoring of GRP’s current recommended charities using our proprietary methodology
- Production of detailed impact reports on GRP’s current recommended charities every six months
- Quarterly presentations to GRPs’ Due Diligence Committee on our recommended charities, impact reports, etc
- Maintenance and updating of GRP’s selection/assessment methodology
- Research on climate charities for possible addition to GRP’s portfolio of recommended organisations
Customer relationship management (CRM) (10% of work)
- Managing company databases, including tracking and managing donor information and regular reporting to the Board of Trustees. Relevant programmes include Salesforce, Mailchimp and the website backend. No prior experience with these programmes required - training will be provided.
- Using data to facilitate ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the team’s progress in fundraising, sales and marketing, and addressing points of inefficiency to optimise conversions.
- Supporting website development and maintenance, including updating copy and visuals, and liaising with web developer.
