About the Role

The Connection at St. Martins is based in the heart of London, in the most concentrated area of rough sleeping in the UK.  We have an ambitious strategy to tackle rough sleeping in central London with those people who are most persistently on the streets. Building relationships of trust with clients is at the heart of our work.  To achieve this in practice, we have a fully trauma informed approach across the whole charity with psychologists embedded in our service delivery teams.

Alongside running our busy day centre at Adelaide Street by Trafalgar Square, we are developing our access to accommodation.  This includes a project to extend our scheme in Clapham with a new building during 2025.  The extension will provide 3 additional studio flats and activity spaces.  This is the first in a longer term goal to introduce more accommodation into our service portfolio so that we can house an additional 300 of our Adelaide Street clients by 2028.  We are also keen to develop our links into health, through partnerships with the NHS and other treatment services.  Finally, we would like to further improve our offer for women and for people with No Recourse to Public Funds. 

The Director of Services is a vital role for us and this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for someone who shares our passion for addressing rough sleeping.  The successful candidate will be ambitious and tenacious in developing high quality services and growing our support.  They must be able to build really strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders alongside bringing extensive experience from homelessness, mental health, addiction or the criminal justice sector. 

Our Director of Services will: 

• Ensure excellent service delivery which reflects our Theory of Change; 
• Deliver the charity’s Service Quality and Development strategy; 
• Take forward our emerging accommodation models and our links into health services; 
• Provide financial management and secure resources for service delivery; 
• Work with the Board and the Service Quality and Development Sub Committee, sharing progress against objectives and reporting results; 
• Provide leadership with the staff team, particularly in services, promoting our cultural traits and behaviours in everything we do.

OVERVIEW 

If you are someone happy to take initiative, act as a service provider to our insiders, lend your hand to anything/everything with regard to building the organisation and are drawn to the idea of helping bring to life an ambitious new social enterprise, then we hope you will consider applying.

You will be the only staff member but have a lot of brilliant people around you to provide support and we hope that with your support and leadership we will grow to a team of 3-4 over the coming 18 months. 

We are looking for a self-starter who will flourish as a facilitator of insider groups, as a recruiter of Insiders, as an advocate and sector-builder for the insider community and as someone who can put the building blocks in place for an organisation that is set to grow and flourish.

To begin with, you will be hosted at non-profit Impatience Ltd who are providing hosting support to Impatience Insiders. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

We are looking for someone with at least six years of professional experience who is: 

1. Confident in supporting bold movement building and encouraging people towards action;

2. Able to work delicately in high trust environments; 

3. Able to work collaboratively with partners; 

4. Energised to search and recruit for Insiders from a ‘cold’ start (e.g. building new relationships on Linkedin, etc.); and 

5. Able to help build the ecosystem which we are a part of.

We are definitely looking for an all-rounder and do not have a particular experience set in mind. We expect to get applications from people from a range of backgrounds including those who have worked in large professional services firms, civil society building, community organising, programme management, financial services, social entrepreneurship, consulting or public affairs. 

We will be looking for people who have had to build things from scratch and are used to working with diverse stakeholder groups and holding a strong sense of purpose.

The essentials:

1. You care deeply about the social and environmental challenges the world is facing and can see how industry can play a critical role in impacting these issues;

2. You are a confident project manager - you must have a knack of keeping things organised and on track, being able to write clearly and distil information; 

3. You are a keen researcher who likes learning about new topics and presenting information back in written documents and briefings;

4. You are committed to facilitating and organising in ways that support diversity, equity and inclusion;

5. You have some facilitation experience and are comfortable building trust with individuals as well as holding space for confidential and sensitive conversations in groups. You have experience of supporting people to work through challenges and differing opinions to get to points of agreement and action;

6. You are happy researching and approaching potential partners, Insiders, etc. without warm introductions and building a new community around this work;

7. You are able to work independently with only light-touch support, self-start and manage competing priorities and multiple groups of stakeholders.

Helpful but not essential experience/skills: 

1. A background and experience of working within food systems; this could be through having worked hands-on on farms, in the public sector on agriculture policy, on corporate sustainability strategies, or through a master’s degree; 

2. A background in project management, public affairs, and relationship management;

3. A background in movement building, community organising, facilitation and/or advocacy;

4. Experience in fundraising and partnership building;

5. Experience in sales, recruitment, hospitality and/or training;

6. Experience of working in and pushing for change in large organisations.

You will have a few key aspects to your work: 

1. Own and organise the Insiders group. This will include seeking new members to expand our Insider group, while retaining current members by ensuring meetings and work are relevant, interesting and beneficial for members;

2. Work with partners to turn insider insights into campaigns to influence change within the sector;

3. Help plan and deliver the UK’s first ‘Insider Summit’ where we bring together people doing insider work across a range of industries and forms;

4. Seed and support new insider groups;

5. Help develop the methodology for insider group development;

6. Build relationships with potential funders and pitch for further core or project-related funding; 

7. Project-manage external agencies that are conducting delivery work for each project, from conception through to delivery and dissemination with civil society organisations, government, media and/or investors.

For the right person, this will be an amazing experience that allows them to learn as they lead work and accelerate into a space where their knowledge and insight is directly impacting progress towards transforming the UK food system and other industries.

The Trusts & Foundations Lead will support increasing income from corporates trusts & foundations in line with the Fundraising Strategy and the Strategic Plans of the Epilepsy Society. The postholder will be fully supported in raising funds from corporates, grant- making trusts and foundations, company foundations, public sector funders and lottery bodies. A key aspect of the role will be establishing and maintaining positive relationships with smaller funders (£10k-£100k), ensuring all obligations under grant agreements are fulfilled in a timely manner. 

The postholder will report to the Partnerships Manager in the new Development team within the Fundraising and Marketing team. With support from the Partnerships Manager, the postholder will liaise with healthcare professionals such as clinicians, researchers, and other key stakeholders to develop compelling requests for support and funding.

About us:

Hospice at Home’s core service is its skilled team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants who provide exceptional care and support in people’s last year of life and at end of life, also providing additional services such as Lymphoedema, Bereavement and Family Support, Befriending, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy.

We provide individualised care and support to improve quality of life and our end of life care helps facilitate a peaceful and dignified death in the home and support to those who are bereaved.

Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we need to raise over 85% of our running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families. Our Fundraising team plays a huge part in raising these vital funds.

Our clinical service area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities, a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout North and East Cumbria.

Job Purpose

This position will lead the established department/s in order to deliver on key priority areas of the Strategic Plan in the areas of: breeding for unfavorable environments, breeding for favorable environments, quantitative genetics and biometrics (related to plant breeding), seed and delivery systems, and germplasm evaluation, host plant resistance, and including market access and nutrition traits and abiotic stress tolerance. The position will have a key role in strengthening the Institute’s role as a key provider of dynamic and innovative pre-breeding and breeding research outcomes leveraging IRRI’s scientific expertise, international convening role, trusted advisor status, and extensive partnerships network. This position provides the overall leadership for accelerating the development of new rice varieties and hybrids in all major rice-growing environments, with a particular emphasis on targeted product development pipelines that, based on clear product profiles, utilize molecular breeding approaches and distributed germplasm evaluation networks to maximize genetic gains. New breeding systems and tools have been put in place in the Rice Breeding Innovation department, however further innovative and cost-effective tools and breeding systems will need to be identified, developed and implemented to achieve the goals of making the IRRI breeding program the pre-eminent public sector cereal breeding program globally.

The Rice Breeding Innovations Research Director is responsible for assuring success in a global context, while focusing on South Asia, Southeast Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa. The position also requires an understanding of breeding information management systems, intellectual property, and an ability to work with the private sector with the assistance of business development specialists. In addition to being a recognized international expert in the field, the successful applicant will have the leadership and change management experience, standing and personal qualities required to provide inspirational leadership to a group of Research Unit Leaders, and provide strategic guidance in research innovations, partnerships and delivery of programs and projects. Department Leaders have a critical role in shaping IRRI’s research for development agenda by bringing together discipline based teams organized through Research units with cross-institutional functions, in order to ensure both the research and delivery imperatives of IRRI are met.

This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and is open for international applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Impact Evaluation Manager plays a critical role in driving Business Launchpad (BLP) and Tooting Works’ (TW) impact and financial goals by evaluating our efforts, securing funding, and reporting to stakeholders.

The Impact Evaluation Manager will lead on our ambition to have BLP become self-sustaining by securing grants from trusts and foundations. You’ll develop and implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, gather impactful data, and effectively communicate our successes to funders, partners, and the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and deeply committed to fostering strong relationships with our young entrepreneurs, tenants, and partners, ensuring the outcomes and value of our work are clearly articulated and understood.

Business Launchpad, a registered charity operating on-site, provides support and training for young entrepreneurs aged 16-30 from across London. 

Responsibilities

Impact Strategy and Reporting

• Ensure that all reporting is aligned with both funders’ requirements and the organisation's broader impact goals, while preserving its independence and vision.
• Lead the design, review, and implementation of BLP’s impact framework and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Provide support to both Business Launchpad (BLP) and Tooting Works (TW) by designing and delivering training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) methods, ensuring teams across both organisations are equipped to confidently produce and apply evidence-based work
• Develop and oversee the implementation of monitoring tools and processes that provide actionable insights to drive data-informed decisions.
• Refine and update data collection tools, train and support team members in their effective use, and continuously evaluate and improve the tools and processes to enhance data accuracy and impact measurement.
• Ensure all programs have a well-constructed Theory of Change, including baseline surveys, KPIs, and robust impact evaluations.
• Oversee data processing and analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods to ensure accurate insights for impact evaluation and reporting.
• Provide regular and timely impact reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board, and other key stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure accurate and up-to-date impact data, success stories, and insights are used for advocacy, PR, and communications.
• Provide line management for the Senior Programmes Coordinator (and other staff and volunteers as needed), ensuring they have clear objectives, their work is well-structured, they have opportunities for development, performance is proactively managed, and their well-being is supported.

Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy

• Represent BLP in meetings with partners and external stakeholders, effectively communicating the outcomes and impact of our interventions.
• Stay informed of trends and opportunities in the youth enterprise and social impact sectors, ensuring BLP remains at the forefront of best practices.
• Support the fundraising process by supplying essential impact data and insights for proposals.

Capacity Building and Team Support

• Build the capacity of internal teams by providing training, resources, and support in data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Ensure that delivery teams are equipped with the necessary tools and frameworks for effective impact reporting and monitoring.
• Foster a data-driven culture within BLP, ensuring staff understand and contribute to high-quality data management practices.

Community Impact and Research

• Conduct community research and needs assessments to better understand the challenges facing the youth and communities we serve.
• Provide advice and guidance to young entrepreneurs on how to measure and communicate the impact of their own businesses.

Systems Ownership and Integration

• Contribute to Business Launchpad’s impact-driven objectives by reinforcing the value of data in decision-making. Lead the use of our CRM (Salesforce) by introducing reporting dashboards and other tools to support data-informed decisions, knowledge management, network development, and upskilling team members.
• Support the procurement and management of contracts with external research, evaluation, and learning partners.
• Assist in the production of internal quarterly impact reports and Business Launchpad’s public Annual Report by analysing progress toward the charity’s strategic goals and proactively identifying any issues impacting performance.
• Lead the implementation of new data management systems and integration of existing systems to improve efficiency.
• Ensure best practices for data protection, ethical data management, and security are followed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Impact Evaluation and Data Management: Proven experience in implementing outcome measurement evaluations, with strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including funders and partners.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with data management systems, CRM software, and tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Communication & Report Writing: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and comprehensive reports for various audiences.
• Leadership & Team Support: Experience building capacity within teams and fostering a data-driven culture.
• Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related discipline).

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.  

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.  

We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis. We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people. 

This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals. 

The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots. 

Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day. 
 

Purpose of the Job 
The Recruitment and HR Operations Manager will report direct to the Head of People and lead the end-to-end recruitment and HR operations for our organisation. This role combines the strategic elements of recruitment with operational HR responsibilities, including payroll oversight, HR systems management, and occasionally employee relations support. This role will be line managing the People Officer and People Administrator, who will provide support on the below functions. 

Duties and Accountabilities

Recruitment

• Ensure that end-to-end recruitment is completed for roles across all levels of the organisation; including creating recruitment campaigns and plans
• Overseeing job board accounts
• Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
• Partner with department managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies as needed to support hiring goals.

HR Operations

• Oversee HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.

• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Payroll Management

The Events Assistant[CF1]  is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.  

As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. · Comfort working across multiple cultures and travelling

· Fluency in English, and proficiency in Chinese is an asset
