We are looking for a Senior Manager – Policy, Government & Evidence Generation. This is a key role for Youth Futures Foundation as a What Works Centre. Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, but working closely with Evaluation and Public Affairs colleagues, this is a unique role, sitting at the intersection of our policy, government relations and evidence generation work. The work of the Public Policy team will focus on the following strategic themes for the organisation:
- Barriers and Discrimination in Employment
- Place based change
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Early Intervention and Transition
- Apprenticeships and Vocational Training
- Employment Support Programmes
You will lead and manage our work in two key macro areas:
- Evidence generation opportunities – Engaging with national and local government on evidence generation partnership opportunities, working with the Evidence and Evaluation team to identify new opportunities and supporting the brokerage of trials to test interventions to support marginalised young people.
- Regional policy – Managing our policy work with regional and local government across the youth employment agenda
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in London, Birmingham or Leeds. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

You will have a strong track record of managing complex, multi-service staff teams and programmes across the charity, education, or government sectors, deep understanding of government contracts and performance-driven programmes and stellar relationship-building skills.
Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and strategic financial planning are essential to ensure sustainability and growth.

Main Responsibilities
As Regional Support Officer you will provide full administrative services to a team that is geographically dispersed across the region with a regional office based in Taunton. You will manage office logistics, financial process and ensure compliance with organisational policies regarding GDPR, health and safety, including undertaking risk assessments. You will support the set up and delivery of both face to face and online events. Crucially as first point of contact for the team you will provide excellent customer service to members of the public.
Ideal Candidate
As Regional Support Officer you will be self-motivated with the ability to prioritise a varied workload. We are looking for a Senior Trust Fundraising Officer for a maternity contract to join an inspiring international animal charity and maximise income generated from charitable trusts, foundations, multilateral and statutory sources.
This can be a homebased role with once a month in the London office.

About the role
From local and national support services to green spaces, sports clubs, museums and the arts, voluntary organisations and volunteers are a vital part of communities across the country. The Senior Practical Support Officer role is key to the delivery of NCVO’s support for small charities. You will be a key part of a small team, with a focus on managing and responding to enquiries that come in via phone and email to our Small Charity Helpdesk. We receive 400 – 500 enquiries a month about setting up and running a charity, with a particular focus on volunteering and governance.
Alongside the helpdesk you will also work with colleagues across NCVO on the production, and curation of content for our website and with internal and external stakeholders to produce sector leading practical webinars.
You will have a particular focus on volunteering, working with multiple stakeholders on a range of cross-organisational initiatives to ensure we develop and share best practice on involving volunteers.
Your good working knowledge of the voluntary sector, understanding of the specific needs of small charities and sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service will help us to effectively respond to the needs of the sector.

The New Economics Foundation (NEF), one of the UK’s leading progressive think tanks, is looking for an experienced strategic leader to help oversee its finance, operations and governance.
In recent years, NEF has worked hard to stabilise our finances, improve our systems, and promote an inclusive and productive workplace.
