Job title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer

An opportunity to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.
This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place.
The role will cover (as part of a team) the main renal units and satellite dialysis units across your designated area in Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucester, and frequent travel and attendance is expected at some sites.

This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location

About the Role
This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:
- raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
- deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
- secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.
The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
- Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
- Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.
This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

The role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in establishing and developing Global Greengrants Fund UK’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) work. The new role of MEAL Officer will undertake high-quality data management and analysis to produce key learnings on the outcomes of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activity, as well as leading system improvements to our evolving monitoring, evaluation and learning framework in collaboration with global colleagues. They will be providing support to the emerging global learning function, and the role will support the delivery of learning activities across our network to develop clear briefs, learnings and findings that can be used by other functions, including the Communications and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to strengthen the organisation’s external and internal engagement and knowledge sharing activities. This will include developing appropriate methodologies and tools to collate, validate, summarise, analyse and report on key trends within our grantmaking using and improving on a range of data sources including grantee application forms and reports. Working as part of the UK Programme Support function and reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, the post holder will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation Global Greengrants Fund, particularly within the Programmes, Communications, and Learning teams towards realising organisational aims.
The candidate profile
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They will be an experienced, senior-level specialist with a strong track record in data collection, monitoring and analysis, with good working knowledge of a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, tools and systems, and in using this information to evaluate and recommend adaptations, and in reporting. Higher-level qualifications/certification in a relevant field, post-graduate qualification would be a distinct advantage, particularly in the social sciences and/or use of mixed method approaches. They will have demonstrated experience authoring MEAL related reports, either organisational reports or academic publications; demonstrated ability to coordinate and improve the process of data collection, analysis and reporting and demonstrated experience in managing datasets, databases, programming, and other analysis software. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and be confident in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels. They have exceptional organisational and research abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy, including analysing large amounts of information from disparate sources. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies. They also thrive in a virtual environment and are motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.

Key tasks

Purpose of the role

There are 1.5 million children and young people with a disability (CYPD) in the UK. Over three quarters cannot access regular leisure facilities which massively impacts their health and well-being. Gympanzees’ mission is simple. We want all children and young people living with a disability to have access to high-quality, fully inclusive leisure facilities so that they can enjoy fun, fitness, and friendships and support their families out of isolation.
Sounds simple, but it’s a huge task. There is nowhere in the UK like this. Anywhere. At all. But we’re changing that, and we want you to join us!
Since 2018 we’ve been hosting Pop Up’s during easter and summer months, across Bristol, in various special schools which has seen us welcome over 23,500 visitors. Each one has helped hone and improve our delivery model, and longer-term plans. These Pop Ups have seen some incredible firsts, including:
· A 6 year old taking their first steps
· A 12 year old sleeping through the night for the first time
· A 3 year old having his first laugh
· An 8 year old rolling over for the first time
Families have travelled from all over the country to enjoy the Pop Ups, some covering 6-hour journeys just for their afternoon of fun!
During COVID we quickly adapted our offer to include a Lending Library which continues to this day, offering nearly 300 items of specialist equipment, free of charge.
In 2023 we purchased a new site to develop into a permanent home which will open in summer 2026. Redevelopment is underway, and so too is an £8 million campaign to support this extraordinary project.

Gympanzees is a growing team which currently consists of 16. The fundraising team consists of 6 people. This role is a crucial member of the fundraising team and will be delivering on a vital income stream that is both financially and strategically significant for the capital project.
Job description
As the Senior Fundraising Manager for Trusts and Statutory, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital income from across these funding streams, whilst leading a small team to maximise their own fundraising efforts from similar sources.
This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in researching and crafting successful grant applications from both traditional grants as well as local and national statutory source. It will especially appeal to those with capital campaign experience but is not a pre-requisite.
You'll be tasked with distilling complex information into compelling narratives that effectively convey our mission and objectives while aligning with grant requirements. Excellent copywriting skills are essential, as you'll need to create engaging and informative content that tells our story authentically and passionately.
Your approach will be highly organised and methodical to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant briefs. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you'll collaborate closely with a high-level fundraising team to maximize funding opportunities and drive positive impact. Additionally, you shall line manager the Trust and Foundations Manager.

Membership Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented team in maximising income from a committed membership base with lots of potential.
With a healthy existing membership base, this role will support the Head of Development in evaluating and enhancing our membership offer to secure sustainable income for Twins Trust. You will be supported by a Membership Officer.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Four days per week (30 hours) (negotiable for the right candidate)
Flexibility: We are a flexible employer and most of our staff are juggling things (including caring for multiples!). We are great at making jobs work around life.
Salary: £35k - £37k pro rata
Reports to: Head of Development
Work location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge and Woking, although entirely remote option is fine.

Purpose of the role
- Accountable for Twins Trust’s annual membership income, delivering a high-quality membership journey through all phases of membership
- Advise on member-focused strategies, plans and measurement that improve member recruitment and retention
- Line manage one Membership Officer, guiding them to provide excellent customer service to Twins Trust's members, process all membership income and update membership information on the database, Microsoft Dynamics
- Support the Head of Development and team in ensuring that membership processes – including processing income - are efficient, effective and implemented consistently
- Draw intelligence from our membership database, analysing data and providing reports to inform decision-making about our membership offer
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to maximise fundraising opportunities reaching our membership pool
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering a membership programme as well as managing the operational aspects of membership processing (database, compliance with codes of practice, data protection and BACS regulations), have excellent attention to detail, the ability to think creatively and analytically, excellent digital skills and IT skills, and a can-do attitude.

Essential
- Experience of delivering and marketing membership schemes
- Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making, Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
- Excellent communications skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of GDPR compliance and data protection
- A creative and analytical approach to problem solving
- Customer-focused in product development and promotional activities
- Able to collaborate with a team of various disciplines or work independently as required
- Strong IT skills, including SharePoint and advanced Excel.
- Enthusiasm for the issues we work on.
Desirable
- Working understanding of admin processes relating to membership
- Experience working with online payment/donation platforms, extracting and manipulating data.
- Experience of creating a strategy around membership schemes
- Line management experience

The role
You will:
- Lead on the planning of our Legacy and In Memory strategy to build and retain our database of loyal supporters
- Ensure excellent stewardship, driven by audience insight and an effective proposition is at the heart of the programme.
- Deliver impactful campaigns across a variety of channels, including Scope’s annual Legacy Awareness Month and identify opportunities to attract new pledgers.

About you
We’re looking for someone who is a strong leader and who plays an active and strategic role in the public fundraising leadership team and wider income generation planning activities.
You will:
- Have excellent sector knowledge of legacy and in memory giving that align to charitable goals and represent the brand.
- Thrive on developing relationships with internal teams, supporters and external agencies with excellent interpersonal skills when speaking to members of the public and colleagues about Gifts in Wills.
- Have end to end experience planning and delivering legacy and in memory activities that deliver against budgeted key performance indicators and have a strong working knowledge of fundraising compliance.
- Have a proven track record of successfully planning and delivering legacy and in memory giving programmes.
- Love talking to our amazing supporters about Scope’s work and have an excellent eye for stellar legacy and in memory giver stewardship.
- Understand the importance of an engaging case for support that motivates and encourages supporters to leave a gift in their will or in memory of a loved one and know how to embed a culture of legacy giving.
