You will be working in a caring home environment with the team and the Registered Manager which gives support to the children and young people allowing their parents and siblings a much-needed break.
Location – Romiley, Stockport
Hours –30 hours per week (worked over 3 shifts each being 10 hours in duration). Shifts are worked on a 7-day rota therefore candidates must have flexibility of being able to work on any day of the week (including weekends).
Starting Salary - £18,729.60 per annum (£12.01 per hour).Actual salary for the hours and weeks worked.
Full time equivalent salary for 37.5 hours is £23,412.00 per annum
Salary Enhancement - 25% uplift on the hourly rate for weekend shifts and during the week between the hours of 11pm and 6am.

About the position….
- The core tasks of a Night Care Worker include attending to the needs of the children and young adults during the night, some of which have complex health conditions, domestic duties and appropriate record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulation. Another member of staff will sleep in the unit and can be disturbed if there is an emergency.
- The Night Care Worker role is varied and, in many instances, unpredictable. All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way.
- As a Night Care Worker, you will provide a professional and effective administrative service to the Registered Manager and staff team, thus enabling them to provide high quality care to the young people in the Trust’s care.

We are seeking a Night Care Worker who has previous experience of working with young disabled people and working unsociable hours.
You will need to be proficient in recording information and have previous experience of working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Experience of administering medication is desirable along with the ability of supporting young people towards independence.

You will lead on relationship development and liaison with key stakeholders, ensuring that Remembrance objectives are central to negotiations and event development. You will also create opportunities for engagement and long-term relationship development that supports the Royal British Legions strategic delivery, ensuring data-driven, targeted audience growth based on research and insight.
Operationally, you will lead the planning and delivery of events that support the development of relationships with priority audiences, including youth, diverse, armed forces, and heartland communities. You will provide direction and line management to the Director of Music, ensuring events have suitable musical accompaniment. You will ensure each event is delivered using excellent project management practices, negotiate with partners and contractors to ensure alignment with the Royal British Legion’s objectives and best value for the charity. You will develop a process of review and continuous improvement. This role requires strong financial management, control planning, and operational budgeting to ensure cost-effective delivery of activities while meeting key KPIs.

Background:
Due to significant losses during the Covid pandemic, a Club appeal for donations was launched in 2020. The Friends of the RAF Club was established in 2021 to recognize these generous Members, many of whom have maintained their donations which have subsequently funded key refurbishment projects in the Club. Support of The Friends contributes significantly to the Club’s financial recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Fundraising will be expected to deliver in 3 key areas:
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEMBERSHIP GIVING JOURNEY
- Enhance the Friends Scheme through life giving and particularly ending with the Legacy commitment:
- Review and manage the fundraising strategy
- Retain, recruit and steward the Friends of the RAF Club
- Devise and implement a legacy strategy
- Devise and implement a series of engagement and stewardship events for the Friends of the RAF Club
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS
- Deliver the funding to help pay for capital projects within the Club:
- In liaison with the House Committee, devise and manage the 2025 appeal campaign to fund the refurbishment of The Running Horse Tavern (the Club’s onsite ‘pub’)
DELIVERY OF ASSOCIATED ADMINISTRATION
- In compliance with the Fundraising Code, GDPR and all other associated regulations:
- Run Friends and Legacy schemes
- Timely and appropriate communication and follow-up with all relevant parties (accepting this is a part-time role)
- Event delivery for Friends events
- Manage the systems and processes to track, administer and report on donations received
- Prepare and produce fundraising marketing collateral.
- Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims
- Prepare all papers and minutes for the Fundraising and Legacy Committee (FR&LC), actioning all fundraising initiatives

Priorities (KPI) for Delivery in 2024/25:
- Priority 1 - Friends Scheme - ensure lines of communication are kept open for all Friends (Gold, Silver and Bronze) - focusing effort to personally engage and get to know Gold and Silver Friends. Increase membership at all 3 levels. Devise and deliver (how many?) Events for Friends.
- Priority 2 - Capital Project - 'Running Horse Tavern refurbishment'. Supported lead to devise and deliver fundraising from potential donors. Minimum target: £100,000 (check this amount is right)
- Priority 3 - Membership Giving Journey - Development and implementation of a membership giving journey, with particular emphasis on delivery of a Legacy Programme.
- Achieve the existing fundraising target of £120,000 in calendar year 2024 (currently ahead of target).
Person Specification:
- Operate effectively at the highest/senior levels.
- Proven track record of working with legacies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; outstanding social skills; able to easily engage and communicate with a wide spectrum of Club members and guests.

As a key member of the Trusts and Grants Team, the Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser will work closely with the Head of Trusts and Grants to raise funds from a portfolio of charitable trusts in accordance with Child Bereavement UK’s budgets and targets.
Initiative, creativity, excellent organization and writing skills are required, together with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders across Child Bereavement UK and externally.
This role comes at a particularly important time for Child Bereavement UK when the charity is looking to evolve and grow services, diversify into new areas, and raise significant funds for ongoing work. The Trusts and Grants Team are a vital part of the charity’s expansion into new areas, and the post-holder will have the opportunity to work with frontline staff to develop new projects and bids.

This role offers help and support directly to victims and survivors of sexual violence, working to the national ISVA framework to provide support throughout victims criminal justice journey, or if they haven't reported the incident to the police, on their own recovery journey.

It’s an exciting time to be joining Shelter. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustrans team and work on the Travel Well project, an innovative active travel social prescribing project.
As the Active Travel Project Officer, you will deliver walking, Wheeling and cycling activities that promote Physical and mental well-being. Working closely with NCC (Nottingham City Council) and Nottingham Community and Voluntary Services you will share your passion and enthusiasm for walking and cycling and make a positive impact on people's health and well-being.
Contributing to the Travel Well initiative you will work with people of all ages and walks of life who refer themselves to the project or are referred by health professionals or other community services. You will identify routes to deliver buddy walks and rides to those referred.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people and organisations to raise awareness and understanding of the Travel Well programme and the support it can offer. You will run and facilitate workshops, events and talks to promote the project and motivate people to join.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

You should have experience of delivering physical activity, health or other behaviour change projects, including delivering projects with different partners from different sectors.

- Ensure all casework conforms to the policies and procedures of KCLSU Advice.
Developing Policy:
- Collect data and record information to enable KCLSU to analyse trends.
- Provide case studies and statistical evidence in support of student-led campaigns.
- Occasionally attend working groups, forums and committees to provide relevant expertise.
KCLSU Advice and Wellbeing Projects:
- Work with the Wellbeing Team to plan and deliver student wellbeing training.

We are looking for a new Advocate to join our team in South Gloucestershire. We are seeking applicants who have transferable skills, a willingness to learn and a desire to help those in need of support.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering South Gloucestershire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working, providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.

If you don't already hold the Independent Advocacy Qualification, and you are successful in your application, it is a requirement that you complete this within 12 months of commencing the training. VoiceAbility will fund this training.
