There are exciting times ahead as we finalise our Legacy and In Memory strategy through 2025 and craft a new roadmap for the future. Collaborating with Smee and Ford, we are diving deep into strategic planning sessions fuelled by crucial  data insights, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our digital marketing strategy.

In parallel, we are fully engaged in advancing our CRM development project and fostering cross-federation collaborations. Additionally, we are in the process of creating a new legacy propensity model to drive impactful decision-making. Utilising valuable insights, we are shaping a compelling business case for introducing a new in-memory fundraising product, such as a tribute fund platform. 

Moreover, in close partnership with our Legacy Case Administration Specialist, we are designing an extensive Scheme of Delegation for legacy case administration at AAUK.

As a key member of the Public Fundraising team, you’ll lead and inspire your team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional results. Your role will involve managing budgets, monitoring trends, and overseeing the execution of impactful stewardship campaigns. With collaboration at the heart of ActionAid, you’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure a unified approach to supporter engagement and operational success.

The role

As Head of Fundraising and Engagement you will be part of the senior leadership team and you will play a key role in both developing and delivering an effective fundraising growth strategy. You will be responsible for leading the team and growing and diversifying income across various income streams.

You will work with the Head of Finance to set budgets and forecasts and you will ensure that each member of the team is enabled to achieve their targets. You will also work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure that you are growing the charity's profile, and work alongside service colleagues to best engage beneficiaries and stakeholders in the charity. You will ensure that an exceptional stewardship journey is implemented and imbedded within the organisation.

About You
You will have had extensive experience within the third sector preferably across multiple income streams, some experience of Marketing and Communications would be desirable too. You will be able to demonstrate that you have grown income significantly as well as be able to show that you have had experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. You will have experience of managing a team including staff and volunteers.

You will be able to show that you have had experience in forecasting and working towards financial targets as well as proven experience in managing a team. Experience in working with a CRM System is also desirable as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This is a Hybrid role with some time spent in the office in Bracknell and at the Charities Specialist Centre in Basingstoke. You will be a car driver and have access to a car. The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. To ensure effective case management for a caseload of approx. 7-10 highly complex and entrenched individuals who experience multiple connected and dependent challenges, usually including homeless/unstable housing, problematic drug use, mental ill health, offending behaviour, poor physical health, often underpinned by trauma.

Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Young People's Drug & Alcohol service in Birmingham.  

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessment, and brief interventions, and deliver group programmes, workshops and training courses. Practitioners work not only from Aquarius offices but also in primary care, education, healthcare, and youth settings.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and fulfil data requirements.

This role involves travel to various settings in the Birmingham area, therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.

This is a full time role requiring the post-holder to work 37 hours a week.

About the role:

You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. You must be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital. Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).

• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
• Have a strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

We have an opportunity available to work within the Humberside ABC service and are looking for a dedicated, empathetic and passionate individual to join and enhance our team.

The role of Triage and Early Intervention Officer - Children and Young People (TEIO-CYP) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the Affected by Crime (ABC) service in Humberside. As the TEIO-CYP worker, you will work primarily with children and young people and/or their parent or guardian, however the role will also support adult service users.

The role will include calls to and from individuals, as well as the administration of cases on the case management system, needs assessing and providing early intervention support.

About the role:

This role will be to primarily focus on children and young people or their parents/guardians contacting, or being referred to, the service. This will include making outgoing calls, carrying out needs assessments and, on occasion, providing early intervention support.

• answer incoming calls, speak to those affected by crime and offer early intervention support
• make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
• work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
• liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
• work with the team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime
• You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.
• You will have some experience and an interest in working directly and indirectly with young people who have been affected by trauma.
• You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.
