Key Duties:

• Assist in the development and implementation of individual giving fundraising campaigns to ensure sustainable income growth and long-term donor engagement.
• Manage activities aimed at enhancing supporter engagement and acquisition through various channels including social media, email, SMS, direct mail, and online campaigns.
• Work closely with the wider fundraising research, and communications teams to ensure the effective execution of individual giving activities.
• Oversee data selection for individual giving campaigns to optimise return on investment and insightful testing; ensure data is managed sensitively, confidentially, and in compliance with GDPR.
• Support the Individual Giving team in forecasting and reporting on both financial and non-financial KPIs related to the individual giving programme.
• Assist in the development and launch of a Mid-Value donor fundraising programme.
• Collaborate to ensure a seamless donor journey, encouraging further engagement and increasing lifetime value through various fundraising products.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in project management across multiple direct marketing channels, including both print and digital media.
• Excellent copywriting and creative writing skills.
• Strong background in researching and developing content for fundraising and marketing initiatives.
• Experience working with creative, print, digital, and media agencies to achieve optimal results.
• Experience in supporting the planning and budgeting process within an individual giving framework.
• Familiarity with legacy marketing is a plus.

Festival Engagement Manager

The Festival Engagement Manager manages the development and delivery of content for the British Science Festival, Europe’s longest running science festival. They create unique events and cultural experiences which are relevant to our target audience of younger adults who are underrepresented in science. The Manager also supports on the delivery of projects for the UK Science Festivals Network (UKSFN), including managing the ‘Making Connections’ project which aims to engage young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds with science and research.

You will have knowledge and understanding of the UK Science Festivals sector and experience of developing content for festivals or large-scale events. You will have experience of working with scientists and researchers to co-develop content for events and of developing content for audiences who are underrepresented in science or who see science as not for them. You will have excellent project management and planning skills.

Travel to the Festival location will be required for this post, including one week on-site during the Festival (September).

Job Purpose 

The Financial Controller has responsibility for the maintenance of business processes and controls, expenditure and balance sheet transactions. He/she also works with the rest of the Finance Team and other teams to ensure smooth and timely project and statutory audits. The Interim Financial Controller will provide cover for this role while the postholder is on maternity leave. 

Scope and Accountability

The Organisational Support team provides support to all parts of Conciliation Resources in the areas of financial management, personnel (HR) management, fundraising, information and communications technology, facilities and organisational communications. 

The post-holder works closely with others in the Finance Team and other staff across Conciliation Resources as well as our organisational partners. This is a key role in both delivering and developing our financial controls framework, processes and procedures and being able to respond to and resolve problems. The Interim Financial Controller will also have line management responsibilities.

Person Specification

Essential 

• Experience in managing projects funded by the European Union, FCDO and other donors, including donor relationship management, programme development and narrative and budget reporting. 

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB) with substantial experience of working in an accounting function 

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of internal controls and finance & accounting processes 

• Proven experience of managing month end and year end processes including audits 

• Substantial experience of balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules for audits 

• Experience of managing a purchase ledger and payments function within a busy finance function 

• Good working knowledge of tax and VAT in the Charity context 

• Meticulous and good attention to detail 

• Good communication skills

We are delighted to be recruiting for a part time Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator to work at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2025, working 25 hours per week, or approximately 3 days. 

The role

The purpose of the Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator role is to build a team of volunteers from the Royal Hospital Chelsea community, veteran community (including spouses of Service personnel) and wider area to support the activities in our new Visitor, Outreach and Heritage Centre. Working closely with our Volunteer Manager, the Co-ordinator will organise volunteer recruitment days and events to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their invaluable contribution.

The successful candidate will also develop a work experience programme for young people. This includes internships, opportunities for Master’s students to undertake project based work, rolling work experience opportunities and events for local people to engage with the Royal Hospital’s heritage.

The post-holder will sit within the new Audience Engagement team, working closely with volunteers and partners, such as Chelsea Pensioner tour and museum guides, other universities offering heritage programmes, local secondary schools and academies, and the project’s design team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of PR & Media, the role will help deliver key national media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke and raise the profile of our stroke research.

At Future Frontiers, we support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to realise their potential at school and achieve post-16 qualifications that build towards secure, fulfilling employment.

In partnership with schools, businesses and supporters, we deliver an evidence-based programme of career coaching and 1:1 guidance for young people when they are in Year 10 and 11. This year, we are working with 3,000 young people across Greater London.

The role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Income Generation to join our senior leadership team. This new and pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing robust income generation strategies to diversify and grow our funding and trading streams. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising or sales, building strategic partnerships, and driving innovation in income generation. As a key player in our organisation, you will lead a dedicated team and work collaboratively to ensure the sustainability and expansion of our vital programmes.

Key responsibilities

Income Generation Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive income generation strategy that aligns with the charity’s mission and goals;

• Identify and explore new income streams, including fundraising, partnerships, and product development.

Fundraising:

• Oversee all fundraising activities, including trusts and foundations and individual giving;

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, funders, and sponsors;

• Develop compelling fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives to attract new supporters;

• Oversee bids and pitches;

• Act as an ambassador for the charity, championing its interests locally and nationally with stakeholders and potential supporters.

Business Development and Partnerships:

• Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with businesses, foundations, and other organisations;

• Develop new business and partnership engagement communications - a suite of tools and collateral;

• Negotiate partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships to maximise mutual benefits;

• Leverage partnerships to enhance the charity’s visibility, credibility, and reach;

• Ensure high levels of engagement and satisfaction among business partners and volunteer coaches.

Product Development:

• Innovate and develop new products and services that align with the charity’s mission and generate income;

• Collaborate with the programme delivery team and the CEO to identify and drive opportunities for product development and diversification, and to scale the organisation;

• Oversee the implementation and marketing of new products.

Marketing and Communications:

• Work closely with the CEO to develop marketing and communications strategies and plans that align with the charity’s goals and objectives;

• Enhance the charity’s reputation through effective brand management, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all channels;

• Oversee the creation of compelling campaigns and content, and the charity’s digital presence including website, SEO and social media.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing income generation team including four direct reports (Senior Fundraising Manager, Head of New Business Partnerships, Head of Partnership Experience, Head of School Partnerships);

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team;

• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional development;

• Collaborate with the wider Leadership Team on Future Frontiers’ strategy and plan for growth;

• Play a key role in the development and delivery of charity-wide culture initiatives and the EDI strategy.

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage the income generation budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources;

• Monitor and report on income generation performance, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board of Trustees;

• Oversee production of annual report and fundraising matters for the annual accounts and audit;

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in fundraising management.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay abreast of trends, opportunities, and challenges in the fundraising, education and social mobility sectors;

• Encourage and implement innovative approaches to income generation;

• Continuously evaluate and improve income generation strategies and processes, including maximising effectiveness of the CRM system (SalesForce).

About you

Experience:

• Proven experience in developing and delivering successful income generation strategies (Essential);

• Demonstrated success in growing income through diverse streams, including one or more of fundraising, partnerships, philanthropy and product development (Essential);

• A passion for social mobility and a commitment to the charity’s mission (Essential);

• Experience in the social mobility, education, or youth sectors (Desirable);

• Knowledge of relevant fundraising regulations and best practices (Desirable).
