Reporting to the Senior Manager Direct Engagement, this pivotal role is accountable for ensuring the successful day-to-day delivery of their face-to-face programme nationwide. The post holder will build strong relationships with agencies through direct engagement and site visits, ensuring transparency and excellence. They will support delivery of their innovative fundraiser engagement program, optimizing performance and motivation. They will manage budget allocation and optimization across channels, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently. The post holder will collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and deliver exceptional results.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of managing end-to-end face-to-face fundraising campaigns and teams. In this exciting and varied strategic and operational role, you will develop and implement a marketing, communications and external affairs strategy that incorporates various impactful communications campaigns and projects that promote and protect King’s Trust International and The King’s Group, increasing our brand awareness and support of our work with young people nationally and globally.

You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in communications, marketing and external affairs at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the various media, marketing and communication tools that would maximise our brand. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of people and stakeholders. We’re open to everyone, but we target those who face the most challenges: 93% of the people we work with describe themselves as coming from a racialized group, 85% of the families we support are single-parent households headed by a woman, and 75% of the children we support are eligible for free school meals.  We also run specialized programmes of support for people seeking asylum and those with refugee status.  Last year we provided one-to-one mentoring to over 246 people, and group support to a further 252 people.  With increasing demand for our services, we expect to provide direct support to over 350 individuals in the coming year. 

We have an ambitious growth plan, and we’re seeking a proactive, innovative fundraiser to help us establish a range of sustainable income streams.  We’ve made incredible progress in both programme scale and quality, and we want someone to help us identify and articulate the change we make, so that we can keep improving and demonstrate the value we deliver. 

JOB PURPOSE 

Working with the Managing Director, you will support delivery of our fundraising and impact strategy, supporting us in identifying funding opportunities, submitting bids and ensuring reporting is completed. You will be responsible for maintaining all our communications channels, including social media, updating our website and creating copy and print materials for our programmes.  You will help us to share our impact and tell the stories of the mentor and mentees.  You will support us to use our data management system, Beacon, to track both our funding pipeline and commitments, as well as our programme impact data.  You will analyse and use our data to tell stories that help us improve our work, expand our reach and increase our access to resources. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Funding 

• Set up and manage funds on Beacon, our CRM system, tracking opportunities, applications, outcomes, reporting requirements and ensuring accurate record keeping.
• Support the delivery of our fundraising strategy, with specific focus on developing a portfolio of sustainable, multi-year grants, trusts and funds and service delivery contracts, while considering how we can expand individual giving, online fundraising and developing corporate relations. 
• Income planning, including identifying, prioritising and scheduling funding opportunities.
• Liaising with programme teams to develop proposals for programme development, and gathering engaging information to demonstrate impact in reports. 
• Supporting teams to manage monitoring and evaluation requirements for donor and internal purposes, developing and maintaining monitoring frameworks. 
• Preparing and submitting proposals and tenders to donors, trusts and funds and government and local government contractors. 
• Preparing and submitting timely donor reports in line with contractual requirements. 
• Reviewing contracts and ensuring contract compliance. 

Communications 

• Attending monthly content planning meetings online 
• Planning and developing content provided by Unfold staff and partners 
• Sharing planned content for review and sign-off 
• Keeping up to date with messages and followers on Unfold’s social media channels 
• Keeping the team informed of updates on social media updates 
• Design material for programme team to support with their work and outreach 
• Create compelling stories from case studies and impact data 
• Report every month on communications analysis so we can see trends on who is engaging with which platforms and to what type of contact.
• Build and develop our social media platforms with new brand and ensuring all communications meets the organisations brand guidelines.

Key Duties:

• Assist in the development and implementation of individual giving fundraising campaigns to ensure sustainable income growth and long-term donor engagement.

• Work closely with the wider fundraising research, and communications teams to ensure the effective execution of individual giving activities.

• Proven experience in project management across multiple direct marketing channels, including both print and digital media.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a full-time permanent basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Leicester Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to work 5 days out of 7 (total of 35 hours per week) on a rota basis which will include weekend and bank holiday working.

Some but not all key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.

• Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.

Ideal Candidates Must Haves:

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience of managing people
• Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
• Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply up to four figures in order to maintain budgets and complete accurately weekly income/banking sheets.
• Ability to handle cash and reconcile accurately.
• Proven experience of meeting targets and KPI's.
• Basic IT skills.

Business in the Community (BITC) is looking for an individual based close to the M62 Corridor of the North West region – to develop our next place to operationalise its Community Climate Fund. Join a team setting up our Community Climate Fund (CCF), that aims to raise £100m and be actively supporting community climate action in 25 places across the UK by 2030. This is an exciting opportunity to identify and deliver a plan in a place (e.g. Salford, an area in Manchester, Warrington or Wigan) to have a positive social, environmental and economic impact for the communities there.

The Community Climate Fund Senior Lead, will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the fund in the vicinity of the M62 corridor and will:

• Increase resilience to economic and environmental shocks
• Strengthen community coherence and wellbeing
• Accelerate progress towards net zero

The role will involve:

• Identifying and developing our next place in the North West of England to operationalize our Community Climate Fund.
• Developing a deep understanding of, and engagement with the community organisations present in the area as potential beneficiaries of the Community Climate Fund.

The Interim Financial Controller sits within a Finance Team, which provides the full range of financial support, reporting and services across Conciliation Resources to support the efficient and effective running of the organisation and the delivery of its work.

Job Purpose 

The Financial Controller has responsibility for the maintenance of business processes and controls, expenditure and balance sheet transactions. He/she also works with the rest of the Finance Team and other teams to ensure smooth and timely project and statutory audits. The Interim Financial Controller will provide cover for this role while the postholder is on maternity leave. 

Scope and Accountability

The Organisational Support team provides support to all parts of Conciliation Resources in the areas of financial management, personnel (HR) management, fundraising, information and communications technology, facilities and organisational communications. 

The post-holder works closely with others in the Finance Team and other staff across Conciliation Resources as well as our organisational partners. This is a key role in both delivering and developing our financial controls framework, processes and procedures and being able to respond to and resolve problems. The Interim Financial Controller will also have line management responsibilities.

Essential 

• Experience in managing projects funded by the European Union, FCDO and other donors, including donor relationship management, programme development and narrative and budget reporting. 

• Qualified Accountant (CCAB) with substantial experience of working in an accounting function 

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of internal controls and finance & accounting processes 

• Proven experience of managing month end and year end processes including audits 

• Substantial experience of balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules for audits

Covering the operational, strategic and delivery of work we are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to operate across the South-East, within Kent or with the ability to travel across Kent. Travel within and occasionally outside the regions will be a necessity. 

This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to supervise, deliver and lead on our stakeholder and community engagement across a region to support the delivery of NEA’s work programme.  The role will help deliver projects that can change lives, particularly during the energy crisis.  NEA’s project work aims to bring improvements to the health and wellbeing of low income and vulnerable householders, through one-to-one advice, group awareness sessions, upskilling and sharing of best practice.

Delivering on a range or projects, which demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders, you will understand and drive the development of partnerships working with local authorities, housing providers, and various other partners.

 You will oversee the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, delivering energy and fuel debt advice directly to householders and be responsible for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved; maintaining relationships with a network of stakeholders across a region. 

You will also work with the Project Development Manager to identify and develop new programmes of work, including preparation of funding applications, presentation of funding proposals to relevant funding bodies and to ensure effective liaison of NEA’s work programme with other activities within NEA.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED 

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.

It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.

You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.

You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives;

Knowledge of energy efficiency, particularly within the domestic sector and community buildings, is desirable.
