About the position….
- The core tasks of a Night Care Worker include attending to the needs of the children and young adults during the night, some of which have complex health conditions, domestic duties and appropriate record keeping in accordance with legislation and regulation. Another member of staff will sleep in the unit and can be disturbed if there is an emergency.
- The Night Care Worker role is varied and, in many instances, unpredictable. All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way.

JOB TITLE: Service Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Executive Officer
HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week
BASED AT: 11/13 Queen Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AN

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct the work of Support Workers and Wardens, ensuring that the team are working efficiently and effectively, providing continuity of service for clients.
- Ensure organisational standards are being met in the accommodation service across all Hope properties.
- Draw up rotas in advance for sign-off from the CEO.
- Monitor staff attendance and report absences promptly to the Management Team.
- Motivate the team through regular one to one supervisions and by modelling good

- Monitor and manage team performance and progress reporting issues at the Management Team meetings.

About the Service
We have two refuges in Islington and provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are there for women at a time of crisis and help families take their first steps to freedom and recovery.
About the Role
You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across two sites. You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with this or a similar client group. An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential.
You will be expected to work across the two refuges as part of your role
About You
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.
Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

About the role
The purpose of this role is to act as the policy focal point between Sightsavers and the World Health Organization (WHO) in the implementation of the WHO Global Report on Health Equity for Persons with Disabilities at the country level.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Promote and support implementation of the recommendations of the global report at national level.
- Offer policy analysis and advice to help identify priorities and entry points for engaging with Ministries of Health and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate engagement in relevant policy processes and opportunities related to the implementation of the Global Report and Guide for Action process at the country level.

The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The Directorate exists to help shape the world around us – and what the NSPCC does – so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse. The PAPA team develops and holds the NSPCC’s positions on key public policy issues and harnesses these to influence policy makers and external stakeholders across the UK. The PAPA team’s strategic focus is divided into five ‘workstreams’: child protection and children’s social care; early years; child sexual abuse; online safety; supporting young victims and witnesses.
We are now seeking a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to play a leading role in the online safety workstream to ensure legislative and policy frameworks in England and the UK are fit for purpose in preventing online abuse and harm to children.
You will join the team at a crucial moment for children in the UK and help us make the case for strong and ambitious regulation and legislation to ensure every child is safe online.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will lead the development of new policy positions and delivery of public affairs strategies to achieve regulatory, policy and legal change which tackles abuse and harm to children online. This will involve evidence-based policy development, being responsible for thematic policy areas, and playing a key role in forming and delivering public affairs and influencing strategies.
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you can hit the ground running and deliver high impact policy outputs and public affairs initiatives to ensure the NSPCC delivers real change in the best interests of children and continues to be seen as a credible and authoritative voice on online harms.

We are expanding one of our adult community services and are looking to recruit 5Residential Social Care Workers to join our team in Hazel Grove.

Location – Hazel Grove, Stockport
Hours –37.5 hours per week (working 5 shifts each week over a 7-day rota, candidates must have the flexibility of working any day of the week – including weekends.)
Starting Salary - £23,412.00 per year (£12.01 per hour) with biennial increments.
Salary Enhancement -Sleep in payment of £96 per sleep and a 25% uplift on the hourly rate for weekend shifts.

About the position….
- The core tasks of a Residential Social Care Worker are to provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the residents.
- The postholder will assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans considering the wishes, feelings and Best Interests of the residents.
- You will undertake direct work that is designed to meet the needs of agreed care plans, enabling residents to reach their full potential.
- A number of administrative hours will be spent attending meetings, supervisions/appraisals, training and annual residents reviews.
- The RSCW will also undertake activities with the residents within the community.
- You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the work undertaken with the residents, completing written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews.
- A part of this role is to undertake a range of domestic duties, including cooking and some cleaning ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
What can you bring to the team?......
We are seeking Residential Social Care Workers who have previous experience of working in an adult residential setting and working unsociable hours.
Do you have flexibility to respond to the needs of the service and residents along with good communication and interpersonal skills?
We are seeking individuals who have an ability to write reports with good organisational and time management skills.
