The Role:
As a Contracts Manager, you will be at the heart of creating, implementing, and managing contracts and procurement processes, ensuring they are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, from drafting and negotiating contracts to managing supplier relationships and overseeing procurement lifecycles.
Main responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards. Oversee the entire contract lifecycle and maintain a comprehensive database of all contracts.
- Procurement: Lead and support the procurement lifecycle, from requests for information/proposals to performance management plans. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related and procurement requests. Liaise with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals and provide guidance on best practices.
- Reporting: Analyse and report on supplier spend and financial performance, collaborating with the finance department for accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract management and procurement.
Requirements:
- Experience in contract management and procurement, with a strong understanding of legal terminology and concepts.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and supplier management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills, leadership and decision-making abilities, adaptability.
- Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract, expected to last up to 12 months, with the freedom to work both in our London office and remotely anywhere in the UK. Forward Action works a four day week, with all team members not working on Friday.

What you’ll do as part of our team
Strategy + planning
- Develop strategies for the projects on which you lead, working with the Digital Strategy Manager as needed to ensure we are always delivering strategic excellence
- Schedule and attend planning and project review meetings with clients

Project management
- Manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams
- Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands

- Working from templates to set up landing pages on a range of platforms

Essential criteria
- 4+ years’ experience working in digital marketing, with proven experience of developing strategies and campaigns that deliver results against goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions
- Being comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced environment
- Experience of using digital platforms to build and send mass emails, and comfortable managing email lists
- Experience of managing ads in Meta, and proven ability to interpret the data to optimise against goals
- Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines

Salary and benefits package
Starting salary: £37,620 (outside of London, with a £3k annual travel bursary)/£42,135 (inside London)
Holiday: 25 days/year (pro rata to 20 days per year due to the 4 day week), plus bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

Working arrangements
This is a fixed term contract until Aug 2026 covering family leave.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office (NW1 7AW) . There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager
Location: In Service based in Croydon, CR0 1EB. You will be required to work across multiple services within the area.

About the role
We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night.
This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals.
The role includes:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
- Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed

A day in the life

The Grenfell 'Education Hub' will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children and young people, their families, and local schools.
A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’.
