The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.
We are the only HIV Nutrition specialist charity in the UK: we exist at the intersection between HIV, food poverty and social isolation. Everyone accessing our services is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified that they are experiencing crisis. Each person receives a personalised Dietetic Assessment from one of our HIV Specialist Dietitians, designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, we help people to lead healthy, independent lives.
The Grants and Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO in order to ensure that income is secured to enable the delivery and sustainability of our services and activities. Taking the lead on applications to trusts and grant giving organisations, the successful candidate will also work with our fundraising working group (made up of staff, trustees and volunteers) to maximise diverse income generation strategies on a community and individual level.
Since we were formed on Christmas Day 1988, The Food Chain has delivered food services to people living with HIV every week since. We were founded by volunteers, and are proud that volunteers are still key to the deliver of our charitable services. The Food Chain family is vast - it’s not at all uncommon for us to be out fundraising and someone run up to us with a shout of “Food Chain! I volunteered for you in 1994!”
Position: Grants and Fundraising Manager
Responsible to: CEO
Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all staff. We have an office in Caledonian Road, London, and we deliver some services in Stepney Green. We envisage this role being hybrid.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), core hours of 9.00am–5.30pm but flexible and part-time working hours will be considered.
Salary: £36,000 per annum

Purpose:
• To implement a successful programme of fundraising from trust and other grant making bodies to ensure the sustainability of The Food Chain Services
• To work with the CEO and Trustees to implement fundraising initiatives including community fundraising, engagement with corporate and individual donors
Key Activities & Accountabilities:
Income generation
• Research, prepare and submit high quality applications for core and project funding to Charitable Trusts and Foundations, corporate bodies and other partners as required to meet the charity’s core purpose
• Maintain a realistic pipeline of existing and potential applications for all funding streams.
• Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing Trust funders, donors and other supporters of The Food Chain as appropriate
• Ensure timely acknowledgement of income to all donors and accurate and comprehensive donor and income records on the Salesforce CRM.
• Ensure that accurate and engaging funder reports are written and provided to the funder on time.
• Ensure that record keeping relating to all fundraising activity is accurate, up to date and timely, using Salesforce CRM
• Ensure that all necessary reporting to all funders is of a high quality and submitted in a timely manner.
• To work with the Trustee Fundraising Sub-Group providing support providing facilitation to the group including researching prospective donors and implementing action plans.
• Develop and implement fundraising initiatives to increase support from, and enhance our profile with all potential donors, including corporate partners and individuals.
Financial management
• Understand the organizational budget, to identify gaps in funding and opportunities for fundraising.
• Support the CEO in Monitoring cash flow forecasts and the budget against actuals and bring any major variations in planned income and grant payments for discussion to the CEO.
• Write, review and update fundraising policies and procedures as and when required
• Support the annual audit process to ensure it is carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
Communications and external relationships
• Sustain effective communication with potential donors and other stakeholders to increase opportunities for giving.
• Support in developing and promoting The Food Chain’s public profile, and influence and foster good relationships through liaison with statutory, voluntary and private bodies, Food Chain members, volunteers, patrons, supporters and the public.
• Develop partnerships and relationships with external organizations and stakeholders for the furtherance of The Food Chain’s strategic goals

You’ll have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.
Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. About the Role
This is a new role that will lead on the quality assurance of IPS Grow delivery, responsible for implementing a robust quality management system and measuring this work against agreed standards. This includes quality-assuring resources for the IPS Grow team and the IPS community, streamlining internal processes, and ensuring consistency of IPS Grow delivery across regions.
This is a national role that will work closely with the Head of Delivery and wider IPS Grow senior team, with a mix of remote and in person working from the London office.

Overview
To date, Global Dialogue’s finances has been overseen by an external accountancy firm. Over the last eighteen months, we have been working towards bringing our finance function in house. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the reins and complete the development and roll out of our internal finance function.
The Head of Finance is a new role within the organisation that is both strategic and handson. In the first phase, the postholder will be required to roll up their sleeves and, with the support of Global Dialogue’s Finance Officer, get stuck into the detail of financial administration, including overseeing twice monthly pay runs, monthly and quarterly closes, and other day-to-day financial management tasks. Alongside this, the role will lead on bringing the finance function fully in house, eventually taking on full responsibility for the preparation of management and statutory accounts, cashflow and FX management, and budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will play a key coaching role for the Finance Officer, with a view to eventually delegating all bookkeeping tasks. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring finance systems are innovative, robust and fit for purpose, and will be a business partner to our hosted programmes, providing advice on compliance and strategic matters.
Global Dialogue’s role as an international fiscal host means that we have a complex financial model, receive income from diverse streams and manage a high number of restricted funds. About the Role:
This role is a hybrid working role and is based at our Singer Street offices, Islington, London for a minimum of one day a week and home working, subject to operational demand. As a Deputy Head of Service you will assist the Head of Service (HoS) to deliver consistently safe, high-quality support for all service users across the Service and ensure contractual targets are met. You will deputise in the absence of the HoS.
- Assist the HoS to deliver a high-quality service across London, meeting funder requirements and deputising in HoS absence.
- Coordinate of the continuous improvement of the DA Service, ensuring consistent implementation across all aspects of the Service.
- Facilitate consultation across the teams and other key stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice, implement and support the strategic direction of the regional business plan.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring appropriate and effective delivery of services to survivors, including, safeguarding, risk assessment, needs assessment, safety planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.
- Drive continuous improvement of performance through use of data and other operational information to ensure teams perform to the highest standards at all times. This will include developing further data sources/requirements to ensure where possible all aspects of DA Service performance are evidenced.
- Coordinate the auditing and analysis of data and other information required for the performance and monitoring reports for the commissioner as well as ad hoc requests from partners, HoS and/or Director.
- Help build on and lead external relationships promoting positive working relationships to ensure the best possible support and outcomes is provided to eligible service users.

ABOUT THE ROLE
People who work in operations have a multiplier effect, increasing the efficiency of their colleagues within the organisation by constructing processes that ensure the organisation operates smoothly and at top capacity. An excellent and more succinct description of operations management as a field comes from Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow:
Though it took Sadie years to admit this to Sam, Marx did prove incredibly useful that summer. No, Marx wasn’t a game designer. He wasn’t an ace programmer, like Sadie, and he couldn’t draw, like Sam. But he did almost everything else for them, and his contributions ranged from the pedestrian, but necessary, to the creatively essential. Marx organised workflow, so Sadie and Sam were more aware of what the other was doing and what they needed to be doing. He made long lists of supplies they would need. He was more than liberal with his credit card—they always needed more memory and storage, and they were regularly burning out graphics cards—and he must have made fifty trips to the large computer store in Central Square that summer. He opened a bank account, and an LLC, Go, Ichigo, Go. He arranged for them to pay taxes (which saved them money in the short term by making their business purchases tax-free), and if, at some point, they needed to hire people, which he knew they would, he set them up for that, too. The Operations team provides operational support to AIM (e.g., human resource management, finance, productivity). The team also supports our incubated charities, assisting with their initial set-up after the program so they can hit the ground running, as well as ongoing ad-hoc requests and advice as needed. Added to this, Operations supports other participants in programs run by AIM(e.g., people completing fellowships with our research team). While this is less than for the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program, it increases as these programs mature.
Our Operations team currently consists of ~2.8 FTE – our Chief Operating Officer (previous Managing Director and CTO of Founders Pledge), our Director of Operations (with a mixed background in legal services, management consulting, and scale-up operations), and a Senior Operations Manager (with a background in risk and security management in low- and middle-income countries). The team also relies on external contractors for some of its functions (e.g., bookkeeping, legal advice).

After an initial brief, independently organise the entire lifecycle of an event at our office expecting between ~15-50 people to attend. You would know the goal of the event, some parameters like the budget, and would have some light assistance from other staff or external partners with whom we’re co-hosting the event.

Effectively acting as an office manager/all-rounder for AIM’s London office. This means overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning, including managing office supplies, coordinating with service providers and contractors, and promptly triaging and resolving issues as they arise. Additionally, it means implementing and improving office policies, such as policies around hotdesking, inviting and vetting guests, meeting room usage, etc.

Entirely oversee our managed accommodation for staff and program participants, responding to booking requests and changes, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out procedures, and promptly responding to requests or issues.

ABOUT YOU
This role will likely suit an early to mid-level operations generalist, but we’re also very interested in hearing from more senior operations specialists as there is room for future growth in responsibilities within the organisation depending on competency and expertise. We would also be keen for talented recent graduates applying for this position as many areas of responsibility can be learned by a quick learner fairly fast.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Our application processes aim to be highly predictive, time-effective, and informative for you. Our process consists only of stages that our best evidence suggests are predictive of success on the job (such as test tasks) rather than more common but less predictive stages (such as cover letters). Who are we?
Art Fund is the UK’s national fundraising charity for art. We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. We are supported by our growing membership of 135,000 through the National Art Pass, as well as the generosity of many individuals, trusts and foundations.
The role
At Art Fund, the role of Executive Assistant sits at the very centre of the organisation. Your primary focus is the administrative support of the Director through complex diary management and managing a busy inbox; but the role also encapsulates organising staff social, information sharing and learning events, collaborating with departments on projects, providing administrative support to the Senior Management Team in their weekly meetings and supporting the Governance Manager with the planning and delivery of Board meetings.
At its core, this role is administration based and in support of the Director of Art Fund. The Director is in frequent contact with Art Fund’s stakeholders, Directors across the culture sector, as well as individuals from Local Authority and Government. The Director’s time is therefore finely balanced between internal and external meetings, so you need to be confident in using Outlook, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Working alongside the Director to prioritise meetings and workload, this is a role which requires collaborative working, and you will work closely with both your colleagues and the Director to ensure that their time is efficiently and effectively used.
This role interacts across all departments, and with all the staff of Art Fund; you will be confident, practical, approachable and highly organised. You’ll be helping with the occasional largescale communications across the sector on behalf of the Director; managing deadlines for articles from the Director for our Art Quarterly publication and Annual Report; helping to support on events including Museum of the Year and the annual Trustees Dinner, and generally embedding yourself within the organisation as one of the team.
