The Head of Development/Development Manager will have responsibility to prepare and submit inspirational and tailored applications for funding to secure the support that enables us to deliver our ambitious core concert programme and education work. In addition, they will be responsible for managing our tiered membership scheme as well as bespoke cultivation events to encourage a major donor income stream. Demonstrable experience of researching and writing high-quality funding proposals, as well as a natural disposition to provide exceptional stewardship of donors both online and face-to-face is essential.

The new Philanthropy Manager will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of major donor giving. With several dedicated and engaged high-value supporters already committed to their mission, their focus is now on developing new business of mid-level donor portfolio. This role will therefore suit someone who has come from a fundraising role in Philanthropy, or perhaps Corporate Partnerships, with some experience across Major Gifts too.

With a vision to grow global philanthropy, an element of this role will support in developing new major donor relationships in collaboration with colleagues across UK, Germany and US teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in developing and growing a mid-level giving programme. This role would suit someone who is based anywhere in the UK that is happy to travel to the London office.

As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you'll be the driving force behind delivering our ambitious fundraising targets in this area, maximising opportunities, working with a range of agencies, stakeholders and your team to deliver our outsourced face to face acquisition programme in the UK, ensuring its success day to day.

You don't need to have worked specifically in the Face-to-Face Fundraising space previously, but you will need to come with experience of managing multiple agency relationships as well as strong stakeholder management skills.

What will I be doing?

• Delivering a face to face fundraising acquisition programme via outsourced partners, in line with agreed strategy and targets.

• Ensuring appropriate training and compliance monitoring of face to face outsourced partner activity is in place, with timely and appropriate remedial action being taken where needed to ensure Cancer Research UK and industry standards are upheld and an excellent supporter experience is offered.

• Establishing, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our suppliers and partners, proactively looking for opportunities to optimise our partnership with outsourced partners, for the benefit of the organisation.

• Leading on the troubleshooting of day to day campaign delivery challenges, acting swiftly to implement workable solutions and ways forward, working closely with the F2F Manager - Outsourced Partners, Individual Giving Operations team, and the relevant stakeholders.

• Ensuring all operational aspects of campaigns from planning through to execution and analysis are in place and as efficient as possible, putting processes in place to ensure the effective management of campaigns, working with the Individual Giving Operations team and other internal and external stakeholders to achieve this.

• Onboarding new suppliers as required, and managing existing relationships through contracts, performance, monitoring compliance and service level agreements, working closely with the Face to Face Manager - Outsourced Partners.

What are you looking for?

• Relevant experience of managing agency relationships, contract management, managing performance, meeting or exceeding key performance indicators ( Face to Face agencies would be beneficial but isn't essential).

• Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment and ability to get up to speed with current fundraising regulation.

• Relevant experience of planning, delivery and analysis of end to end project activity or campaigns (fundraising or face to face would be beneficial).

• Flexible approach, with an ability to work successfully in a dynamic operating environment.

• Proactive approach to problem solving with ability to manage several projects at any one time.

• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills - both internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About the Role

The Philanthropy Manager will play a pivotal role in maximising high-net-worth relationships to drive transformational income opportunities for World Vision UK. • Experience in building and managing marketing campaigns on social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn), Google Ad campaign types and programmatic advertising, taking decisions, testing and publishing without supervision.
• The ability to analyse user experience data with CRO testing, conduct A/B tests, optimise conversion funnels, improve user experience working with our Digital Product team to implement changes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Lead on the management and development of our ecommerce sites (Shop for life and Store). Working with agencies and wider teams to ensure consistent updates and optimisations, creating and executing data -driven campaigns to maximise conversions and deliver growth.

The RSPB’s successful and dynamic Philanthropy Team are looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager who will be responsible for building relationships with mid-level donors and increasing the number and value of their donations. This role requires an enthusiastic and hardworking team player who will have a strong focus on developing donor relationships, maximizing their contributions while offering an engaging stewardship journey.

This role will lead on generating gifts from mid-level donors - those giving between £500 - £5,000. The position is tasked with increasing the number and value of these donations via a strategic mid-level donor stewardship programme that will inspire and engage both new and existing contacts.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading and developing RABI’s philanthropy and partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).

This plays a pivotal role in shaping RABI’s fundraising strategy, identifying major funding opportunities and creating impactful engagement strategies to secure long-term financial support for the charity’s sustainability.

Relationship building is key to this position, communicating effectively with our donors by enhancing and strengthening relations through cultivation tactics and deepening relationships to ensure robust support from these influential stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraising strategy to drive RABI’s fundraising activities and support long-term sustainability. This includes overseeing the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
• Report on income and expenditure targets, ensuring targets are met and assisting with budget setting.

The Gateway service is used as a partnership arrangement with a local authority for temporary accommodation. The Housing Coordinator will be the lead point of contact for Look Ahead at this site and manage this relationship on a day-to-day basis.

The Housing Coordinator will also be expected to monitor occupants' adherence to house rules and work with our Local Authority partners to follow up any enforcement action, occupant support needs or requirements that are presented.

A key part of the role is managing the safety and operation of the building, as well as dealing with enquiries and contact from customers and visitors. • Oversee the day-to-day management of all IG programmes, appeals and campaigns in line with the overall fundraising strategy, targets and objectives.

• Develop and implement new IG initiatives including supporting GDPR and lead generation projects.
