Job description

The International Organization for Migration in the United Kingdom (IOM UK) delivers a range of programming to support migrants, both in the UK and internationally, including projects focusing on labour migration, resettlement, migration and development, migrant protection, and community cohesion. IOM UK has been present in Scotland since 2019, with activities focusing on the provision of immigration advice and casework support to vulnerable migrants, resettlement and integration information sessions, and stakeholder engagement. IOM UK is a registered Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) Level 3 Immigration and Asylum and Protection organisation.

Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and direct supervision of the Project Co-ordinator the Senior Project Associate (Caseworker) will undertake OISC regulated casework and representation and provide training/capacity-building sessions. In close coordination with the Senior Programmes Coordinator, the Senior Project Associate (Caseworker) will also lead on liaison with external stakeholders on various matters related to policy, project development, implementation and reporting in Scotland and will represent IOM in external forums and meetings, including with COSLA and the Scottish Government.
