Background to School Food Matters

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy. 

Job purpose

· To support the team with the organisation and delivery of all food education programmes

Key tasks include:

· Providing project support to the Senior Partnerships and Programmes Officer and Development Manager in both the office and on-site to deliver SFM’s food education programmes, including gathering quotes and photos on projects

· Creating new and maintaining existing relationships with schools

· Delivering some assemblies and workshops to schools

· Supporting existing relationships with programme partners and funders

· Assisting with grant-giving processes

· Supporting the food education team with the preparation of grant monitoring reports

· Keeping up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures

• Maintaining the ethos of the charity and positively promoting our work at all times

· The Project Assistant will also undertake any other tasks relevant to the affairs of SFM that may arise from time to time.  Therefore, being flexible and approaching the job with an open and positive mindset is essential!

The role

As a Community Coordinator Assistant for FareShare, your primary responsibility will be to manage and sustain the Community Food Membership (CFM) programme. Your goal will be to maximize relationships and add value to create the best experience for our charity partners. Main areas of responsibility

Be Kind to Your Mind (BK2YM) is a non-clinical, mental health and wellbeing offer delivered by HFEH MIND Youth Services. BK2YM’s non-clinical interventions and psychoeducation programme (Learn Well) offers a multitiered level of support:

• Preventative and early intervention for children and young people aged 5 – 25 through HFEH Mind Psychoeducation Workshops and assemblies.
• Training for school staff and other professionals.
• Therapeutic Arts intervention (x6 sessions) for students.
• Access to a digital support tool (self-help): WYSA.
• Access to wider digital/online support tolls (Including My Mind TV).

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of Be Kind to Your Mind interventions across schools, colleagues and alternative education.

As part of the wider Enterprise team, our Commercial Marketing Assistant will help devise and deliver marketing campaigns and strategies that will grow audiences and increase revenues across our key commercial income streams. Join a vibrant and energetic team, living and working in Mid Wales, and work with colleagues delivering landscape scale work focused on the uplands, rivers and their own estate, which includes Gilfach Nature Reserve and Wilder Pentwyn Farm. 

You’ll work closely with colleagues at The Trusts, building action with partner organisations and community groups across the catchment, sharing common messages and calls for action across Wales. 

With elections in both locally and in Welsh Assembly elections over the next 2 years, following a new government in Westminster, there will be a concerted focus on ensuring actions for clean and healthy rivers feature in debates and discussions and that there is a clear understanding that connected landscapes and wildlife-rich habitats, giving space to nature, are well funded and supported at all levels of decision making. 

Our client fundamentally understand the value of healthy environments and the codependency of people and nature. Their community is made up of people who see the value in healthy eco-systems and healthy rivers. It is also people that will be directly impacted by the changes they foresee in the Wye catchment happening. Livelihoods will be lost if farming is unable to continue due to loss of income, livelihoods will be lost if the rivers flood with greater regularity and intensity, unchecked, and damage local communities.

About the role

The Exchange is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Assistant with a flair for customer service, and a passion for plants, craft and people. This is an exciting new opportunity to help support our Retail Manager in establishing The Garden Room as a vibrant, successful and welcoming space for retail, selling homeware and gifts; craft and garden supplies and tools; plants and plant care products; and some fashion, fragrance and cosmetics. Digital Healthcare Manager

The Digital Healthcare Manager is a new and exciting role at the College. This role will lead the development of the RCPCH Digital Health programme, aimed at understanding the range of technologies in use by the membership along with the digital confidence and competence of the membership through analysis of survey data. This analysis will help to provide details of key digital solutions for the workforce. The Digital Health programme will also support the workforce to embrace and implement digital health technologies into clinical practice.

As Digital Healthcare Manager, you will lead activities related to the integration of digital health technologies into mainstream paediatrics by participating in relevant Committees and working groups and reporting to Project Boards on the programme’s progress against agreed timelines, deliverables, risks and issues.

Based within the Research and Evidence team and reporting to the Head of Research and Evidence, you will work with colleagues internally and externally to embed digital skills into the paediatric workforce as well as developing education and training resources for paediatricians, to help build capacity and capability.

You will also work with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit and work with communications colleagues to create and implement communication plans and resources/assets related to the RCPCH Digital Health.

With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science or digital healthcare

component, you should have experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.

You should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work and have the ability to manage competing demands and conflicts whilst maintaining productive working relationships with stakeholders.

With excellent organisational skills and the ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and capable of following standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, being able to work autonomously and take personal responsibility for your projects.

Knowledge of research methodology, including literature searching and data analysis, along with a project management qualification and an understanding of the education and training pathways of paediatric healthcare professionals would also be desirable.

About you: 

You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working in a growing charity ideally you’ll bring the following skills -

• Knowledge and experience of leading digital acquisition programs  

• Knowledge and experience of email marketing  

• Experience of working towards funding and donor engagement targets and tracking progress  

• Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing regular giving plans, in-memory giving, and stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors.
