About the role
The National Communications Manager is a vital role in enabling both Emmaus UK and Emmaus communities and groups across the UK to achieve our ambition and strategic goal to shout louder, growing our profile and reach in order to support more individuals on the pathway out of homelessness.
Who are we looking for?
The National Communications manager will work with the Director of Fundraising and Influence to develop an ambitious communications strategy for EUK.
The role will develop and coordinate national communications programmes and campaigns and will lead on press and media work for EUK. This role will also take lead responsibility for internal communication at EUK and across the federation in the UK, linking to Emmaus Internationally.

Our client is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and develop through Education. As an independent funder, the charity generates income from its endowment, which includes substantial property holdings and financial investments. This means it does not fund raise. To date, the organisation has awarded over £225 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year. We are delighted to be working with the Charity to recruit a permanent Communications & Social Media Officer to join its established team based at conveniently located offices in Central London.
The role:
This newly created position will expand the capacity of the organisation's communications team, supporting the Communications, PR & Events Manager in delivering engaging, high-impact external communications. The focus will be on managing the Charity’s digital presence, including its social media channels and newsletter to enhance visibility, engagement and public awareness.
The role requires a strategic, organised and creative approach to social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo and BlueSky. It will entail preparing and delivering innovative and compelling content in both written, visual and video production formats, which showcase the work of the Charity and its network of grantees. Using the latest platforms and technology such as Canva and InDesign, this role will help tell the important stories which emanate from the work of the charity, including publicising events, raising awareness and addressing interesting themes relevant to the work of the Charity and its community.
This role will also monitor and evaluate online engagement and will ensure there is a vibrant, creative and relevant tone across all platforms and mediums. They will also contribute to maintaining the website and newsletter, gathering stories from across the Charity’s networks and ensuring it is accessible and up to date with current affairs and events. Working closely with the Communications, Events and PR Manager, this person will be responsible for identifying opportunities to repurpose and amplify content across multiple channels to ensure the Charity’s media presence is maintained and enhanced both on a local, London wide and National basis.
Beyond digital communications, this role will support a busy calendar of events throughout the year, managing logistics from planning to execution, including navigation lists, booking venues, catering arrangements and on the day support and facilitation. This is a wide-ranging communications role with plenty of scope for development and growth, with the flexibility to be tailored to the strengths and interests of the postholder.
In addition to working for Charity, the post holder will also support the COO of the foundation in its newly developing communications work. This will require working across 2 schools, and the Charity in collaboration with the communications teams across the Foundation.
The person:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar social media or digital communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector but equally having come from a commercial setting, where an active interest in charitable work can be clearly evidenced. Bright, engaging and intellectually curious, this person will have a natural enthusiasm for the work of the charity and the desire to be an active member of an office-based team, all working towards the same goals.
An outstanding communicator both in person verbally and in writing, this person will have a proven track record of running digital communications activities and social media campaigns and will be proficient in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop and PowerPoint, although training can be given where necessary. The ability to tailor the tone of content for various platforms and to appeal to a wide range of audiences, both locally, London wide and nationally will be important.
The desire to learn new skills will be strongly evident in this person, they will relish the thought of collaborating with colleagues to grow their expertise and to share ideas on how to optimise delivery across the digital and social media space. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, this person will be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead and to spot opportunities further down the line to maximise the impact and reach of charity’s work. A working knowledge of WordPress and website management will be very useful but not essential.

ASH has recently agreed a new five-year strategy and effective and impactful communications is a critical part of achieving our influencing goals. The Communications Lead will be responsible for our digital and social channels, developing compelling content and copy, as well as managing our media presence and working with journalists to secure coverage of our messages, research and reports. There’s no such thing as a typical day: you could be involved in everything from creating a social post to explain the implications of a new policy, advising the team on new content ideas for the website, liaising with a national newspaper to comment on breaking news or managing the design of a key report for policymakers.
About the candidate

8. A flexible approach to working and a willingness to support colleagues across the organisation
9. Strong organisational skills – including excellent record keeping, and an ability to independently manage workload and work to deadlines, while responding to current events.
10. Enthusiasm for, and commitment to, the aims and objectives of ASH and an interest in public health more broadly. Understanding of policy influencing and government relations would be an advantage, but not essential.

About the role
Woman’s Trust is looking for an interim Senior Communications Consultant to support the delivery of our ambitious organisational strategy, and our goal to ensure more survivors of domestic abuse have access to the mental healthcare they need.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years’ senior media relations experience within the VAWG or mental health sectors. This is essential as we work at the intersection of both policy areas and need someone who understands the unique position that puts us in, in terms of the services we provide and our expertise.
We are looking for someone proactive, with a keen eye for uncovering news stories within an organisation and spotting opportunities to respond to issues in the media or more widely.
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate they have secured recent print and broadcast press coverage and that they have experience supporting vulnerable survivors with media work.
The priorities will be to:
- Generate media coverage using case studies, data, research, spokespeople and in response to the news agenda (newsjacking)
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists
- Support senior staff and domestic abuse survivors with media work and speaking at events
- Review and update our website
- Monitor, manage and engage with communities proactively and reactively across our social media channels, including creating content
- Support the development of a communications strategy to underpin the organisational strategy
- Provide senior communications counsel and advice to the CEO, Chair and Senior Leadership Team

About the role:
The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. In addition, you will provide timely and accurate data selections and create visual reports to support various organisational needs.
Using your mathematical knowledge and statistical tools you will analyse data, providing interpretation and understanding the numbers within the models. Through this you will support the fundraising team to extract value from our Data Sets by identifying correlations in customer behaviours and giving propensities, leveraging both internal and external data.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills and experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
- Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.

Make a Change
Make a Change is a community-wide, early response approach to people using abusive behaviours (or who are concerned that they might be) towards a current or ex-partner. The model has been developed by Respect in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, drawing inspiration from their Change that Lasts approach. It includes three strands: expert support programme for perpetrators with parallel support for survivors, workforce development and community outreach.
Improving the safety, freedom and wellbeing of adult and child survivors of domestic abuse is a key outcome for our work with perpetrators. The Make a Change model is a multi-partner project offering local areas a framework for delivering perpetrator work. Where feasible, we aim to establish partnerships with local survivor domestic abuse service to deliver parallel support for survivors (referred to as Integrated Support Service) as part the expert support strand.
Purpose of the role:
The Senior Communications and Policy Officer will work with the Make a Change team at Respect to advance the development of communication and policy activities for the Make a Change model in project sites and nationally to encourage uptake in new areas. They will also work with Respect’s Communications and Influence leads to ensure alignment with the organisation's broader messaging and advocacy efforts, maximising the impact of Make a Change initiatives. The postholder will lead on developing and implementing communication strategies and plans in partnership with our delivery partners across the sites.

ARB is an independent professional regulator, established by Parliament as a statutory body, through the Architects Act, in 1997. We are accountable to government.
The law gives us a number of core functions:

The Investigation Panel (IP)
The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the is the statutory regulator of architects in the UK, under the terms of the Architects Act 1997. The role of the Investigations Panel (IP) is to investigate allegations of unacceptable professional conduct or serious professional incompetence against architects and decide whether there is a case to answer at the Professional Conduct Committee. Each IP has three members, one architect and two lay. The Investigation Panels make decisions at the conclusion of the investigation.
We are looking for candidates that have an interest in professional regulation, have worked in committee settings or working groups are able to work through complex and voluminous information and work as a team to reach outcomes. Architects must be registered with ARB.
