The role:

We’re seeking an engaging, organised and experienced individual to join our fantastic Mass Fundraising team on a 6-month fixed term contract! 

This role is integral to the delivery of our ambitious Mass Participation fundraising budget. You will support on the delivery of new and existing insight-led fundraising products and reaching targets. You’ll achieve this by leading on end-to-end processes, supporting the Mass team on large-scale projects and campaigns with the aim to increase acquisition and improve retention, as well as using your excellent relationship skills you’ll engage with and steward our supporters. 

About You 

• You will have a good knowledge of Community and Individual Giving fundraising and have worked in a fundraising or a Supporter Care team with a focus on community and events supporters and fulfilment 
• You will have an excellent track record of engaging with supporters through a range of channels including SMS, phone and email stewardship including but not limited to: event good luck calls, sponsorship chasing, general fundraising support
• You will have Community and events/fundraising process delivery experience including experience of Raisers Edge (preferable), updating data files
• You will be able to start in the team at short notice

Head of Evaluation (Targeted Projects)

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.  

Absolutely central to this is designing, commissioning and managing complex and rigorous impact evaluations with experts in the field. The new government has an ambition to halve knife crime within a decade, and we’re anticipating opportunities to work with them to build evidence on new approaches to tackling violence involving children. Your role will focus on creating and making the best of those opportunities. You will: 

• Serve as a senior member of the team. YEF is buzzing with activity and in order to prevent any bottlenecks, we need to expand our senior capacity. 

• Run and manage closed calls for complex evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. For each of the programmes we work with, we find and appoint independent evaluators. 

• Expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders. Aside from evaluators, we work closely with other grantees and partners. 

• Represent YEF at governance meetings and other external engagements. We’re passionate about our mission, proud of the work we’re doing to get there, and we’re keen to share this with stakeholders.  

• Provide support and counsel to our team of Senior Evaluation Managers and Evaluation Managers. This team closely manages over 35 efficacy trials, over 20 pilot studies and even more in the earlier stages of evaluation. 

• Tightly manage and quality assure evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. YEF has set processes to maintain high standards and rigour. This role will ensure all evaluations adhere to these.

The aim of ROTA’s housing project, funded by the Oak Foundation, is to examine the racial inequities that continue to plague the housing sector. Using a community-based peer research approach, we will put the lived experiences of Black and Global Majority communities who have been affected by insecure housing at the heart of this research, amplifying their voices through dedicated campaigning and advocacy.

We ultimately hope that the findings from this research can be used to formulate meaningful policy and influence practice to help end discriminatory practices in the housing sector.

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. We are excited to be supporting Children with Cancer UK, the nation’s leading charity dedicated to combating childhood cancer. They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Research Grants Manager.

This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), temporary role, running for 3-months. Hybrid working is offered; with 3-days onsite and 2-days remote.

This role will involve working closely with the charity’s trustees to co-ordinate both the Research and Welfare grants.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

• Acting as lead contact for external organisations.
• Line managing the Research Grants & Trust Officers, providing support and identifying opportunities for their professional development.

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Part time: 14 hours a week

Salary: £27,300 (pro-rata £11,000 p/a)

Responsible to: Director 

Key Duties:

Lead work on providing an information service for Healthwatch Camden, helping to ensure that it is readily accessible and can effectively direct people to the support or advice they need to access services or make choices about services.

-Lead on providing information to residents via our phone and emails, signposting and offering advice where available.

-Assisting projects and events formed by the Projects Lead and Engagement Lead.

-Ensure that our information resources are up to date and user-friendly.

-Take minutes and notes from Healthwatch Camden board and team meetings. 

-Work with colleagues to plan and use appropriate approaches to evidence gathering and to brief and support volunteers.

-Engage in local health events supporting our outreach officer, spreading news about what we do, offering information to the community. 

-Support our research projects, conducting interviews, supporting edits, and recording and transcription of interviews and focus groups.

Key Qualities:

-Be empathetic and proactive in your approach to including people who face barriers in using health and care services (for example disabled people, homeless people and people from migrant communities).

-Champion accessibility and inclusivity.

-Stay up to date with local health and social care news and has a key interest in health research and policy within the borough.

-High level of accuracy and attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

-Ability to communicate well and with confidence to a diverse range of people verbally and in writing including external partners.

-The ability to use initiative, multi-task, and work as part of a small team.

Demonstrated experience in administration, minute taking and organisational skills is required. This role also requires one day in our office located in King’s Cross, additional travel may be required to Camden for events.

Conditions of service (summary)

Healthwatch Camden is committed to promoting equality in all aspects of

our work. We operate a flexible working policy, and will make reasonable

adjustments as necessary.

Annual leave entitlement is pro rata from 25 days’ a year (approximately 15 days). Sick leave entitlement depends on length of service, to a maximum of four weeks’ a year.

Healthwatch Camden operates a pension scheme provided by the People’s Pension and makes an employer contribution of 3%.

This is a permanent role, subject to available funding. All other terms and conditions are in accord with your statutory employment rights.

Chief Executive Officer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide leadership and direction to drive the achievement of their strategic aims.

The Organisation

Our client are a highly respected professional membership organisation with members in 140 countries, comprised primarily of clinicians who utilize and depend on ultrasound in all aspects of Obstetrics & Gynecology. The Society includes Obstetricians and Gynecologists, trainees, medical doctors, scientists, sonographers, midwives and other health professionals who work to advance women’s health and well-being globally. Their mission is to improve women’s health through the provision, advancement and dissemination of the highest quality education, standards and research information around ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is achieved through education and training, programmatic initiatives and advocacy. 

They offer a diverse range of products and services to its community including a highly ranked scientific journal (Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology), a world leading annual Congress, online education through its Academy, education courses and regional activities, and delivery of its Outreach program to underserved regions.

The Role

Reporting to the President and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer will be the lead senior executive with overall responsibility for the operation of the organisation. In this pivotal role, the Chief Executive Officer will:

•    Provide leadership and direction to the organisation in the development and achievement of its vision, mission and values
•    Be responsible for delivering the agreed strategies and achieving the business plans of the organisation, by effectively overseeing, managing and developing the resources available to the organisation
•    Lead the Senior Management and their Management teams
•    Assess, develop and promote strategic partnerships with a range of stakeholders to ensure strategic outcomes
•    Represent the organisation externally, both in the UK and internationally to promote the services and values

About You

As Chief Executive, you will be educated to degree level, have a proven track record in leading small to medium sized not for profit organisations and have substantial experience of developing organisational strategy, delivering growth, innovation and change.

Additionally, you will have experience/knowledge of:

•    Working collaboratively with Boards to achieve the organisation’s mission
•    The identification and management of risk 
•    Organisational legal responsibilities and requirements, including charity governance and international policy with respect to women’s and children’s health, charities and associated education 
•    Managing and leading a team of senior managers
•    Relationship management, with demonstrable experience of work effectively with key stakeholders

The successful candidate will already have an interest in and commitment to women’s health, be able to work collaboratively, demonstrate emotional intelligence and build credibility. Due to the demands of the role and working with stakeholders in different time zones, the hours will be variable and there will also be both UK and international travel.

Your key responsibilities will be flexible. You’ll manage your workload and set objectives, priorities and deadlines with the Head of Fundraising. Your work will include:

• Events Fundraising: You will manage our fundraising events, including the London Marathon. The Caerlow Trust is recruiting a Grants Officer to join our small but expanding team based in West London. 

The Trust’s operating principles are rooted in the basic belief that everyone deserves to have access to sufficient resources such that they are not concerned with day-to-day survival. It aims to achieve this by making grants targeting three main pillars of humanitarian relief: hunger, homelessness, and addiction.
