Role

In this exciting role, you will provide pro–active emotional, practical and advocacy support for male and non-binary survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. 

Our ISVAs work with clients currently residing in any London borough, or if the abuse was committed in any London borough. Some travel to London will be expected.

We consider people from a wide range of educational backgrounds and work experience. What matters is that you are empathetic and will support the specific needs of our clients.

Role Requirements

As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.

• Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
• Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
• Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains, and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
• Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Main purpose of post  

• Deliver agreed marketing and communications activities that contribute to reaching our strategic goals, driving high profile, ambitious campaigns to reach priority audiences.

• Write materials and create content for a range of offline and online channels, ensuring these reflect Weston Park Cancer Charity’s Guiding Principles and tone of voice.

• To build and maintain relationships with people willing to share their stories about Weston Park Cancer Charity, to be used as case studies to promote our work.

• To create inspiring multi-channel content; taking complex issues and translating them for different audiences to develop impactful campaigns

• To raise the profile of Weston Park Cancer Charity by generating regular, high profile coverage; conveying the impact and breadth of our work.

What you do

Marketing  

· Assist in creating and delivering impactful marketing and communication materials, to engage both our online and offline audiences.

· Keep the website up-to-date; updating news, editorial and creative digital content including text, images and multimedia.

· Create compelling and engaging content for social media channels, website and other publications.

· Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, manage performance reporting, and recommend improvements and growth opportunities.

· Support photography and video requests to create in house or externally sourced engaging content.

· Assist service users and fundraisers with the development of user generated content including blogs, vlogs, podcasts and films.

· Use analytical tools to report on digital performance for web, email and social media.

· Support our online advertising including but not limited to; google ad

words and meta advertising.

· Ensure marketing collateral is kept up to date including print distribution.

· Prepare marketing briefs and liaise with external design agencies.

· Liaise with suppliers to source quotes and place orders.

Communications

· Monitor online communications and engage with audience conversations, when appropriate.

· Maintain a database of photos and case studies to promote our work.

· Support the delivery of high quality events and campaigns.

· Source, design and print branded materials as required.

· Write, edit and proof copy for campaigns, marketing materials, social media and our website.

· Produce case studies with a clear narrative which align with the overall charity strategy.

· Provide administrative communication support and production of digital marketing materials.

· Monitor media stories, press cuttings and report accordingly.

· Monitor relevant news stories and produce regular round ups to inform media planning and share with staff.

General

· Ensure databases are kept up to date.

· Provide copywriting and editing support across all internal and external communications to maintain consistent tone, style and messaging.

· Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.

· To support the implementation of the charity’s brand strategy and act as a brand champion.

· Able to work some out of hours including attending events, attending some early/late meetings and monitoring social media.

· Comply with all Weston Park Cancer Charity’s policies and procedures including confidentiality, privacy and data protection.

Director – Horse Rangers Association

The Horse Rangers Association (Hampton Court) (HRA) is a young people’s charity, supporting personal development by teaching the management and riding of horses.  It also works to encourage and develop young people and adults with disabilities who participate in our Riding for the Disabled (RDA) lessons during the week.The organisation has just celebrated its 70th anniversary.  It is led by our Director, who reports to our board of trustees, and is based at the Bushy Park Stockyard.  The work with young people is delivered by a senior volunteer team mainly at weekends, supported by the Stable Manager and her staff team, with organisation and back up support by the  office team.  The charity looks after 25 horses, and teaches riding and horse husbandry, to our 300 Ranger members. 

Our Director is retiring this autumn after six successful years and we are looking to appoint his successor.  The salary is £55k - £65k, with a range of other benefits and the option of flexible hours working.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES OF JOB

Leadership

● Developing and setting future strategic direction to ensure that the charity evolves and remains both relevant and financially stable in today’s environment.
● Management of Office and Stable teams, providing leadership and support to both.
● Building strong working relationships between the Stable staff, Riding for the Disabled Volunteers, Officers, parents, donors and members of the HRA, and Trustees.

Fundraising Strategy

● Leading on the development of the HRA to achieve a long term fundraising strategy in line with the vision and values of HRA.

● Developing publicity and marketing tools (including digital) to maximise fundraising income.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

YMCA What is Sexual Exploitation (WiSE) works to prevent and disrupt the sexual exploitation of children and young people aged 5-25 across East Sussex, Brighton and Hove, and Surrey. We are a specialist team of passionate, dedicated professionals who support each other to work in this challenging area. We deliver trauma informed, consent-based work with young people, schools, statutory services and Sussex Police. We focus on one-to-one interventions as well as group work, training for professionals.

As a Sexual Exploitation Worker SOLAH ("safer online at home") you will provide early intervention support to children and young people 5-25 years who have been identified as being at risk of sexual or criminal exploitation. In this role you will support these young people to stay safe online and, in their communities, by providing consultation, support and guidance to other professionals working directly with children and young people who are at risk of being exploited. Exploring risk, healthy/unhealthy relationships, sex and consent, negotiation and assertiveness, protective behaviours, personal boundaries, harmful sexual behaviours, gender identities and concepts of masculinity. 

You will work in partnership with Sussex Police delivering short term interventions to young people who have been identified as having shared sexual content online. In addition, you will deliver Child Sexual Exploitation training to the wider professional workforce.

You will be primarily based in our partner Eastbourne office and travel to meet young people across East Sussex, with some opportunity to work from home. Work pattern can be discussed at interview. It is essential you hold a full UK driving license and have access to your own car for this role.

Brief Outline of Job:

· Establish and deliver a programme of fundraising and donor engagement to raise philanthropic support for the University scholarship programme (gifts of £6,000+ - £30,000)

· Identify, build and develop relationships with potential donors through face-to-face meetings and by organizing small, exclusive events (lunches, dinners and receptions).

· Aim to raise c£300k in scholarship funds over the year’s contract.

· Prepare funding proposals for potential supporters. Scholarships donors include alumni, corporate donors and trusts & foundations. 

· Prepare reports and steward existing donors to ensure ongoing support.

· Support the development of scholarship fundraising strategy, working closely with the Individual Giving Manager.

· Manage relationships with major scholarship partners, working with senior colleagues from across the University in this goal. This includes creating funding proposals, producing annual reports and organising visit and events.

· Develop fundraising materials by producing engaging copy and cases for funding support.

The role

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the local office, managing referrals calls from people who are bereaved, assisting them to access appropriate support, supporting volunteers with service delivery and ensuring effective recording and management of relevant information systems and processes.

About the Role

The Street Engagement Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides person-led support to people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs.

A day in this role is never the same – part of it will be spent on the street, offering support to people experiencing homelessness. You might be out with another member of the team, or with one of our specialist health partners like a homeless health nurse, or substance use worker. Alongside this element of the role, the rest of your day will be spent intensively supporting a small caseload of people who are isolated from services.

You will have substantial experience in delivering a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are street homeless. You will be excellent at building and strengthening trust in relationships. You will be a problem solver, with a positive attitude towards change and service development.

Role Summary

Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-planned. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels, and play a key role in developing content with people who want to share their own experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.

Communications and content

1. Support the Senior Communications Manager to develop year-round content strategies and planning

2. Create clear copy for a range of channels (including website, emails, social media) which influences and motivates audiences to take action and support Alcohol Change UK’s work

3. Ensure all communications are well-framed, on-message and fit with our brand guidelines

4. Lead on our monthly newsletter, developing, writing and scheduling on Mailchimp, and using reports and insights to think creatively about how to engage our audiences effectively

5. Play a coordinating role for the organisation’s wider email communications, collaborating with colleagues from other departments to ensure regular engagement emails are on message, and on brand

Website maintenance and development

1. Create clear, well-written content for our website – particularly focusing on engaging Information and Advice content

2. Make regular updates to website content, and troubleshoot issues as they arise

3. Ensure ongoing implementation of our Search Engine Optimisation and accessibility best practices

4. Support the Senior Communications Manager with annual planning and implementation of improved user journeys and experiences

5. Act as a champion for the website, developing relationships with colleagues from across the organisation to support new projects, content and campaigns across the site

Enabling people to share their experiences

1. Empathetically and respectfully work with individuals to share their stories, creating a wide range of content (blogs, quotes and case studies) to be used flexibly across Alcohol Change UK’s channels

Team support

2. Complete monthly team KPI reports, with a specific focus on email and website engagement data, providing analysis for optimisation throughout the year 8

3. As required, support the Behaviour Change team with Facebook Community Group monitoring, completing slots on the agreed team rota

4. Provide ad-hoc support to the Digital team with social media monitoring and responses as required

Cross-organisational Role

1. Work closely with colleagues across the Communications team and wider charity to support their work and to act as ‘one team’

Support through campaign periods

The post holder will be expected to support the team with additional tasks through our busiest period from November-January. A rota system is in place and Time of in Lieu is provided for additional hours worked.
