About the role:

The Islington Multi-Disciplinary Service is funded by the London Borough of Islington. The service is funded to  support vulnerable residents aged 18 and upwards , with a focus on tenancy sustainment and developing independent living skills. The service works closely with partner agencies across the borough to support clients to maximise opportunities to lead fulfilling lives. Partner agencies include local Housing Departments , DWP , Treatment Agencies and Mental Health Services.

The role of the FSW is to support a caseload of up to 25 clients within a recovery framework. 

The primary focus is on preventing tenancy breakdown, improving quality of life and promoting independence. This can involve helping our clients to maximise or stabilise their income. It could also involve us helping tenants to address other issues such as substance use and mental health problems. 

The role includes hybrid working and will be based in our office in Holloway and at home.

About you:

• Experience/knowledge of supporting clients to carry out tasks such as budgeting , calculating benefit entitlements and understanding rent arrears and housing options.
• Experience of working in a client centred support service working with vulnerable people presenting with a wide range of support needs, with an ability to devise and deliver on action plans through high quality risk management and needs assessment.
• A demonstrable level of experience and/or understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with some or all of the needs listed: Substance Use issues, Mental and Physical ill heath, Challenging behaviour, Risk of Homelessness, Antisocial behaviour.
• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to undertake comprehensive Risk Assessments.
• Experience/knowledge of working within a strengths and recovery-based model and engage and motivate people to move towards an appropriate level of independence and inclusion.
• The ability to use a computer to input data accurately, to communicate effectively through emails and to produce good quality minutes of meetings, client notes, letters and reports.

Senior Analytical Manager – Core Analytics Team

Two fixed-term roles available

Full-time roles: 37.5 hours per week

We require all staff to work a minimum of 2 days per week on average working in our London office/in person, in line with our hybrid working framework.

The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK. 

We are excited to be able to offer two fixed-term Senior Analytical Manager roles in the Data Analytics Directorate. We are looking for motivated and talented individuals with an excellent track record in leading teams to deliver research and analysis to improve health and care, or in a related field.

The roles are based in the Core Analytics Team, a sub-team of around 10 staff within Data Analytics. We use cutting-edge approaches to provide insights about the health of the UK population, as well as health and care system performance. We also support analysts across the Foundation with access to data and tools, and support and promote the use of data analytics across the health and care system.

Current work across the team includes: work exploring NHS performance, for example elective care waiting lists; exploring new ways to link health and care data; developing a portfolio of work examining trends in health across the UK; and, leadership of the Foundation’s data strategy.

There are two exciting roles available:

• Senior Analytical Manager (maternity cover) – Fixed-term contract until 31 July 2025
• Senior Analytical Manager – Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2026

The two Senior Analytical Managers work together to lead the Core Analytics Team, working closely with the Assistant Director and Director of Data Analytics. The Senior Analytical Managers also work to develop an environment where the team can thrive, working together, and with individual people managers to promote the development of our people, team science, open working, and patient and public involvement and engagement. They also play a crucial role in working with colleagues across the Foundation’s three strategic priorities to develop and deliver an ambitious programme of analytical research that makes an important contribution to achieving the Foundation’s mission.

Individual areas of responsibility will be agreed with the successful candidates based on the team’s current work programme, but we would expect each Senior Analytical Manager to take responsibility for one of the following:

• developing and leading an ambitious and substantive longer-term programme of analytical research, develop collaborations with academia, and drive publication of our work in peer review journals
• leading an ambitious and fast-paced programme of shorter-term analysis seeking to respond to current policy issues and priorities.

Springhill Hospice provide the highest standard of physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care for patients with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers.

The hospice care is provided free of charge to 2,500 patients in the local area of Rochdale each year. However, the cost to run the hospice equates to £8,000 a day so they rely on donations. Are you passionate about raising funds to provide vital hospice care for people with life limiting illnesses in the local community? If so, this could be the role for you.

The Role

We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join the growing fundraising team. You will play a significant role in delivering funding for projects to support the provision of hospice care. The main purpose of this role is to:

• Research and deliver new and existing trusts and foundations income to achieve income targets.
• Match costs for projects to potential funders and manage applications for funding.
• Report on the use of funding, providing timely and up to date information on hospice activities.
• Develop long term relationships with funders.
• Acquire accreditation and awards to gain recognition for the hospice.

The Person

We are looking for someone who excels at building relationships and provides exceptional supporter care. You will need to have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. Experience in writing and editing copy would also be advantageous in this role.

To fulfil this role, you will require excellent organisational skills, along with the motivation and ability to work to targets.

Although experience of working in a fundraising environment is desirable, we are keen to speak to people who have the passion and enthusiasm to move into this area.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to plan and deliver strategically the fundraising required for the ongoing success of NCO, enabling this important national music organisation to develop and deliver its mission.

Main Responsibilities 

Strategy and Planning

Working with the Chief Executive and Development and Communications Committee to set and lead on the development of NCO’s development strategy, setting fundraising targets in line with strategic objectives.

Oversee all fundraising activity and report to the Chief Executive, NCO Board and Finance Committee on progress towards income targets.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, represent the Development function to ensure full account is taken of development potential whilst contributing towards the leadership and strategic direction of NCO.

Individual Giving

Lead on re-establishing NCO’s Individual Giving programme, drawing on the potential pipeline of current stakeholders (eg parents and alumni) and delegating to/working with the Development Team in its successful delivery.

Lead on new mid/major donor giving and relationships including legacies, personally managing a portfolio of prospects and donors.

Support the Development team to lead in the delivery of NCO’s annual giving programmes, ie Friends and Patrons.

Lead on individual campaigns, working collaboratively with the Development team to maximise opportunities to engage with new supporters through events and matched funding initiatives (eg The Big Give).

Work with the Chief Executive and other senior staff to ensure the continued engagement and support of the NCO Board.

Trusts and Foundations

Lead on fundraising from Trusts & Foundations and other grant giving bodies (excluding statutory funding).

Research and cultivate existing and new funders, working with the Chief Executive, Board and the Development Team to initiate new partnerships and maintaining systems to ensure that those partnerships are successfully managed and sustained.

Prepare compelling major grant applications to secure new funding with sound attention to detail, and work with colleagues by leading and advising on other vital grant applications undertaken by members of the Development team, sharing best practice in fundraising to develop the organisation’s skills.

As part of the Development team, provide appropriate and timely monitoring information to trusts and foundations, as required by their conditions of support including, where appropriate, organising events and visits.

Corporate Fundraising

Lead the Development team on stewarding existing and cultivating new corporate sponsors and ensuring benefits and recognition are delivered across NCO’s marketing channels.

Statutory Funding

Support the Chief Executive and wider team to ensure that NCO fulfils its quarterly and annual reporting requirements to Arts Council England and the Department for Education and in the creation of new funding applications including as part of the next ACE Investment Review.

(NB: The day to day management and reporting requirements of NCO’s NPO and DfE grants will be managed by a newly appointed Business Administrator and overseen by the Chief Executive).

Organisation and Management

Line manage NCO’s Development Manager through individual objective setting and performance management, regular 1:1 meetings and identification of training needs.

Empower the Development team by ensuring they have regular opportunities to develop their skills and experience across different areas of fundraising and through training whilst supporting them wholeheartedly in their professional development.

Inspire and lead the Development team, and set an example, on the application, implementation and adherence to all NCO policies and procedures.

Support the Development team to lead on the development of NCO’s CRM System (Beacon) in specific relation to its fundraising functions, in line with the Data Protection Act.

Maximise the potential of Gift Aid from all donations, supporting the Development team to ensure all donations and payments received are appropriately logged, accompanied by appropriate paperwork and in line with annual audit requirements and submitted in a timely manner.

Produce Development reports for quarterly Board and Finance Committee meetings, attending online and in person as required.

Undertake research and maintain a high level of knowledge about trusts, foundations, individuals, and statutory funding to inform planning.

Represent NCO at conferences undertaking public and media presentations, attending conferences and events and lobbying forums as appropriate

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with legal experience to join us as a Paralegal and provide the support we need to help us deliver an effective local service. This is an exciting opportunity, and you will play a key part in standing up to the housing emergency. 

About the Role 

You will assist our solicitors to maintain an active litigation caseload under Legal Aid to enable homeless people, as well as those with housing and related problems, to enforce their rights. Your role will include carrying out casework as directed by the Solicitors, taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications and providing court representation. You will also ensure time recording and income targets are met.

About you 

You will need a sound understanding of housing and homelessness law and the housing issues people in Norfolk are facing. You have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and can adapt your communication style to your audience as well as being familiar with case management systems to record your work. If you have knowledge of Legal Aid this would be an advantage but is not essential. You enjoy collaborating as part of a team, respond quickly and positively to change and are not afraid to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas when appropriate.

About the Team 

Our Legal team is based around England and is made up of over 100 people, delivering housing advice and litigation services for our clients. We work closely with other teams in Shelter Services, taking referrals from them including certified litigation work, controlled work and as part of the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Service. 

The role is based in our Norfolk Hub, where we have provided housing advice for over 25 years, with offices in Norwich and Kings Lynn and Court Desks in Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth County Courts. We work within communities to understand and respond to the housing issues they have and work in partnership to deliver our priorities: supporting people with additional needs, combatting discrimination and disrepair in the private rented sector and fair access to and delivery of social housing throughout Norfolk.

Working within the Communications & Engagement department, the events team provide best practice guidance to others across LSHTM arranging events through a toolkit.

Who we’re looking for

You should have proven experience in event and project management with confidence to use platforms such as Zoom for in-person, virtual and hybrid events and online registration software such as Eventbrite.  You must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to support colleagues through the development and maintenance of an event toolkit resource showcasing best practice and where necessary in line with the evolution of organisational needs.

You will need a collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. You should be educated to a degree level or hold equivalent experience. Further particulars are included in the job description.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Bedford Mental Health Prevention service for adults which aims to improve people’s mental wellbeing, raise aspirations and enhance confidence.

As Service Coordinator you will be responsible for implementing working recovery models and coordinating the operational plans for the service to ensure that people are able to manage their mental health, move through their recovery journeys and achieve positive outcomes.

Along with coordinating service delivery to meet its aims, objectives and Key Performance Indicators, you will also line manage the service Recovery Workers and lead on recruitment, onboarding and management of volunteers in the service.

Additionally you will conduct assessments of individual’s suitability for the service, leading on more complex cases and guiding people through the range of available interventions that can support them to achieve the outcomes that matter to them.

In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery of the service you will also contribute to the direct provision of the service by leading and facilitating group sessions where needed and by offering informal 1-2-1 mental health and wellbeing support that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps, be isolated and ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.

You will lead opportunities to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and to build links with local organisations and agencies.

You will need to be empathetic and deliver a person-centred approach in a non-judgemental way, collaborating with people to empower and engage them. SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

The team works at a national level to provide the stewardship of resources, the development of policy, and the expertise, guidance and leadership needed to sustain the ministry of the Church of England and to ensure its growth and flourishing. We support dioceses to develop proactive plans to grow vocations to ministry, by convening networks of practitioners, sharing good practices, ensuring proper resourcing and providing quality training for diocesan directors of ordinands and advisers.

We support and steer ministry and leadership development for the entire clergy and lay ministries life cycle, including clergy HR and senior leadership development.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vocation Communications and Marketing Officer role is part of the National Communication Teams which sits with the National Development.

Your major responsibility is to engage, inspire, and influence all sectors of the Church to foster a vocational culture in which all persons, regardless of age or background, are encouraged and assisted in considering the entire variety of ministerial vocations for themselves and others.

You will mainly be responsible for:

1. Developing, delivering and leading a marketing, communications and engagement strategy; this requires the post holder to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders at a national, diocesan and local level clearly and concisely
2. You will work with stakeholders and communicate as widely as possible the ministerial needs of the church and a plethora of opportunities to discern, learn, grow and serve.
3. Produce and/or commission excellent written and video content and updates; this includes supporting the preparation and development of online and in-person engagement events.

As part of the Evaluation, Performance and Research team, you will work across the organisation to guide, challenge and provide practical support for the planning and implementation of Mind's strategy.

You will conduct high quality research and evaluations of Mind's work, monitor our organisational performance, and transparently share our impact and learning, in order to mobilise the change needed to achieve our strategic ambitions.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

-Conduct in-house evaluations of Mind's flagship programmes and other charitable activities - using mixed methods - to help the organisation understand and improve its impact.

-Conduct high quality research projects that will produce insights on strategically important topics and support the analysis and synthesis of internally and externally produced research work.

-Support the commissioning and contract management of external evaluation and research providers.

Managing Director

We are looking for a Managing Director in this new role, which will support our existing Creative Director/ CEO with the strategic leadership of Cartwheel Arts.

Position: Managing Director

Location: Greater Manchester/hybrid (onsite attendance in Heywood, Rochdale at least 2-3 days per week, one of which must be a Wednesday)

Contract: Fixed term contract until March 2027, however our intention would be to extend this role, subject to funding.

The Role
