Role Summary
As our Senior Strategic PR Lead, you will develop and oversee a strategy pursuing global opportunities to influence and respond to developments that strengthen ProVeg’s impact of an international food awareness organisation. Using an evidence-based approach and real-life stories you will inform, inspire, and influence a changing food system. You will position ProVeg as a pragmatic, solutions-oriented actor within the ecosystem of plant-based, fermented and cultivated food. You will work with NGOs, companies, food-service providers, startups, investors, policy advocates, the public, and many others to amplify key messages.

Responsibilities
Strategic development and implementation

Develop and oversee an effective PR communications strategy, including business/trade press and public affairs (EU and UN advocacy), based on ProVeg’s strategic principles, impact areas and global interventions.

Be accountable for the development, delivery, and evaluation of the organisation’s PR activities.

Create relations with key media outlets to increase visibility and dissemination opportunities

Develop media relations and build relationships with PR contacts to continuously grow our impact.

Secure media opportunities for the Senior Leadership and Executive Team and the Global CEO.

Oversee and ensure the management of positive relationships with the media and relevant change agents, and external colleagues.

Develop and update, as needed, clear guidance (e.g., core messaging and brand narrative) for the communications team to ensure public communications are aligned with ProVeg’s organisational strategy and communications approach.

Increase ProVeg International’s profile, particularly in broadcast media, enhance the organisation’s credibility and inspire supporters and other stakeholders through the use of engaging communications.

Safeguard the organisation’s brand by overseeing and managing the development of crisis communications plans and advising on emerging issues and PR risks and opportunities.

Qualifications
Required:

An excellent understanding of the plant-based and alternative protein sector and knowledge of food systems change.

A successful track record (5+ years) in journalism (print or broadcast), marketing, or public affairs, developing and delivering strategic objectives across a range of communications channels.

Working with the Founder / Director of Survivors Can Shine to effectively deliver our ‘I Shine, Speak Out – Ambassadors for Change’ project
Job description
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Management of the project plan, including monitoring and updating of budgets, and referring any cost implications to the Director as appropriate
- Coordinating training and support for workshop leaders and volunteers to support the delivery of the I Shine, Speak Out project activities
- Support the smooth delivery of project objectives and production, and maintenance of project management documentation; working closely with internal and external stakeholders and decision makers
- Lead and coordinate project meetings with partners / young people
- Lead and coordinate the annual Survivors Can Shine Community event.
- Support the collection of information & evidence as part of project reporting requirements, including preparing drafts for completion and review
- Use appropriate tools to monitor and evaluate the impact and success of the project
- Supporting the writing of reports to funders
- Identify risks and issues within the project and work with the project team to resolve or escalate as appropriate to the Director

Role description
Title: Interim General Manager
Contract: 24 hours per week (3 days). 6 month temporary contract (extended leave cover)
Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre
Salary: £50,470.00 full-time pa; pro rata
Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months.
Some of the key milestones of the period the new General Manager will be responsible for include: supporting the team in hosting a fundraising event, meeting key grant writing deadlines, supporting Finance Lead in producing the end of year accounts and all on-going financial reporting, renewing corporate sponsorship agreements with current partners.
We are interested in hearing from individuals who could cover all areas of the role including fundraising (3 days / week); as well as those who could take on the General Manager role but might not have fundraising experience (2 days / week) and fundraisers (specifically with experience in writing grants) who might prefer a part time assignment such as this (1 day / week).
We are open to recruiting one person or two depending on candidates’ experiences and preferences.

About the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre
The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s bankside.
Our mission is to provide London with a sober, intersectional, intergenerational, community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and supported, can build connections, and flourish. Our vision is for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.
The Centre is visited by over 1,100 people each month. In 2023, we hosted 600 events joined by over 9,000 participants. And the Centre was visited by over 14,000 visitors.

About the role:
Working with the CEO, the post-holder will ensure the charity functions effectively and has long-term financial viability and sustainability. The post-holder, in conjunction with the Treasurer, will ensure the Board meets its fiscal responsibilities and all regulatory requirements are complied with.
You will advise, report to, and consult with the CEO on all matters relating to the management of RSG's financial resources and on external factors that may affect its financial situation. The Head of Urban Transformation role leads campaigns delivery and development work across Possible’s ‘getting around’ strategic focus area, continuing our groundbreaking work on campaigning for traffic reduction and sustainable transport across the UK.

The hospice care is provided free of charge to 2,500 patients in the local area of Rochdale each year. However, the cost to run the hospice equates to £8,000 a day so they rely on donations. The Role
We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join the growing fundraising team. You will play a significant role in delivering funding for projects to support the provision of hospice care. The main purpose of this role is to:

The role
We are seeking a dynamic and efficient Events Coordinator to support the delivery of a world-class and sector-leading portfolio of annual events to support LSHTM’s Strategy to both internal and external audiences. Events are diverse and include graduation ceremonies for students, conferences and lectures for academics, policymakers and funders, as well as internal community social events. Working within the Communications & Engagement department, the events team provide best practice guidance to others across LSHTM arranging events through a toolkit.
Who we’re looking for
You should have proven experience in event and project management with confidence to use platforms such as Zoom for in-person, virtual and hybrid events and online registration software such as Eventbrite. You must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to support colleagues through the development and maintenance of an event toolkit resource showcasing best practice and where necessary in line with the evolution of organisational needs.
You will need a collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. You should be educated to a degree level or hold equivalent experience. Further particulars are included in the job description.

You will assist our solicitors to maintain an active litigation caseload under Legal Aid to enable homeless people, as well as those with housing and related problems, to enforce their rights. Your role will include carrying out casework as directed by the Solicitors, taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications and providing court representation. You will also ensure time recording and income targets are met.

About you
You will need a sound understanding of housing and homelessness law and the housing issues people in Norfolk are facing. About the Team
Our Legal team is based around England and is made up of over 100 people, delivering housing advice and litigation services for our clients. We work closely with other teams in Shelter Services, taking referrals from them including certified litigation work, controlled work and as part of the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Service.
The role is based in our Norfolk Hub, where we have provided housing advice for over 25 years, with offices in Norwich and Kings Lynn and Court Desks in Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth County Courts. We work within communities to understand and respond to the housing issues they have and work in partnership to deliver our priorities: supporting people with additional needs, combatting discrimination and disrepair in the private rented sector and fair access to and delivery of social housing throughout Norfolk.
