This is a new role joining our well-established, flourishing digital team. The team is made up of product, engagement and marketing specialists who are committed to empowering people who are affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Now has transformed our digital offering over the last couple of years. Creating a unified, supportive and inclusive experience for those who want to know more about breast cancer at every stage. And to access vital support services to inspire individuals to help us increase our impact through fundraising and campaigning as well as continuing to expand the reach of our world-leading research programmes.

This role will bring leadership, vision and a deep knowledge of user-centred research and UX, UI and content design. To create exceptional experiences for our supporters and service users across multiple digital platforms and channels; keeping their needs at the heart of everything we do.

About you

We're seeking a passionate and experienced user experience (UX) leader to spearhead our user-centred design initiatives. You'll champion a culture of evidence-based optimisation, manage analytics to blend qualitative and quantitative insights and collaborate with our lived experience team to ensure inclusive product development. You'll lead upstream product activities, partnering with various teams to align digital strategies with organisational goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting discovery activities, supporting downstream development, and contributing to product vision and roadmap creation. You'll also oversee user research, usability testing, and the implementation of a comprehensive content strategy.

We are looking for candidates who’ve a strong background in user centred design, analytics, and product development. With a particular focus on accessibility and inclusivity.

You’ll need a proven track record in a head of user experience position or be a lead user experience designer, prepared for your next career step. You should be driven by a desire to create positive change through your work and possess strong leadership skills to mentor and guide team members.

We value a collaborative and proactive approach, coupled with expertise in conducting research with marginalised groups on sensitive topics. Experience of working with external design and development partners is a plus. You should have a comprehensive understanding of UX, design accessibility, information architecture, content strategy, SEO, and product development best practices.

YMCA DownsLink Group has been delivering counselling and therapeutic services to children, young people and families through our YMCA Dialogue Service in community and school settings for over 25 years.

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join our innovative and skilled counselling service to lead operational plans in line with organisation strategy and local strategic priorities, designing and developing a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of children and young people aged 11 to 18 years. You will manage and review performance against contract KPI’s and support the engagement of service users in co-production and participatory activities.

In delivering the role, you will work closely with the Clinical Lead, Team Managers and Head of Service, you will manage the continuing growth and development of our community-based children and young people’s counselling and wellbeing services in West Sussex. You will hold operational responsibility for the West Sussex Single Point of Access (SPOA) partnership, working alongside SPFT and the Youth Emotional Support service management and delivery teams to provide an effective referral pathway to support services for children and young people in West Sussex.

In addition, you will manage the development and operational delivery of services, providing line management support to the team, and be accountable for the financial performance of the service through the setting, administering and review of budgets. You will work closely with senior colleagues to assess business opportunities, tendering for and maintaining contracts.

You will already have experience of working in a managerial or Lead capacity in Counselling and Mental Health Services for Children and Young People. You will have good communication and facilitation skills and the ability to successfully manage challenging and changing priorities whilst remaining calm and solution focused. You will already have substantial knowledge of and experience in Safeguarding and the assessment of risk for both clients and services and be able to work closely with internal and external partners to review and implement policy and procedural change.

In addition, you will have experience in the implementation of clinical structures, clinical governance, supervision processes and clinical eligibility/thresholds.

In this role you will provide operational line management and support, to staff who work with and help our members, and all callers, whether self-referred or referred by other charities, or statutory agencies, ensuring that we continue to provide the highest quality of services and facilities at all times.

You will have: 

• Extensive experience of working in a charity / community development and / or social care setting, at Team Leader, or Assistant Manager level;
• Clear understanding and confidence of the role and responsibilities of a service manager, within the sector:

OVERVIEW

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.

As a Rising Sun Administrator you will be a key member of our frontline team working alongside specialist domestic abuse workers and providing essential support as a valued member of the team.

You will be involved in a range of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of our services, including processing incoming referrals and answering our main office phoneline, dealing with referral queries as well as supporting survivors to access support. You will also be involved in coordinating our group programmes for survivors, and our One Stop Shop drop ins.

As the first point of contact for both professionals and survivors you will be instrumental in ensuring they feel heard and supported, through your empathetic and understanding response.

In addition to day to day administrative tasks you will have the opportunity to attend training and learn about our domestic abuse services and the Rising Sun Framework which underpins everything we do. There are also regular team meetings and activities to promote wellbeing which are a great way to get to know your amazing colleagues.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Admin Tasks

• Process incoming referrals to our services
• Liaise with referrers and team members as required and respond to queries efficiently
• Coordinate participants and materials for survivor group programmes and team training sessions
• Coordinate the rota for One Stop Shop drop-ins
• Respond to enquiries received via our phone or admin email account
• Work as part of a team to ensure the phone line is answered at times advertised on our website and coordinate call-backs to survivors from DA workers if needed

What They Do

This organisation is a small charity that provides holistic support to vulnerable women in Newham, particularly in the context of mental health, and by extension – their families. In practice, these are almost all migrant families headed by a lone mother. Around 80-90% of those they work with are homeless, have experienced trauma, and have No Recourse to Public Funds.

Most new clients are seeking help with destitution and navigating hostile/dysfunctional systems of statutory support. As well as advocacy casework, they provide free counselling, parenting and life skills support, a Baby Bank, and skills development to help women support their families. A new cleaning social enterprise aims to diversify income and provide decent, flexible work.

More than the sum of the services it offers, the organisation provides a community where women support each other and know they can get help.

About the Role

The Operations Manager will oversee the operational delivery of the charitable objectives, including line management of senior project delivery staff. This role will support staff to ensure the smooth daily operations of front-line services.

You’ll be working within a diverse team of dedicated women in a compassionate environment. They appreciate the value of flexible working and welcome discussion about this in relation to the role.

As the Operations Manager, you will:

Line manages senior staff within the charity, providing regular one-to-one supervision, supporting staff to meet their objectives, working on all HR-related policies and procedures, and supporting staff to develop their potential.

Ensure the charity fulfils all legal, statutory, and regulatory duties around HR and governance.

Act as Lead Safeguarding Officer for the charity, including ensuring up-to-date DBS processes, organising staff, volunteer and Trustee safeguarding training, updating the Safeguarding Policy, and maintaining accurate records of safeguarding incidents.

Communicate regularly with the Finance Manager to support sound budgeting, management accounting, and other financial processes.

At Breast Cancer Now, we’re looking for a creative and proactive Press and PR officer to join our ambitious team, as we continue to cement our place as the ‘go-to’ press office for breast cancer and position the charity as the leading expert in the field.

This varied and exciting role is critical in helping the charity build its profile through effective and compelling PR and media relations. The post holder will plan, deliver and respond to opportunities across all areas of the charity’s work, from highlighting our world-leading breast cancer research and raising awareness of our public health messaging to promoting our fundraising appeals and support services and supporting our policy and campaigning work.

As the main finance role for the charity ( supported by the Operations Team) you w ill be an excellent communicator, unflappable and diligent individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys a diverse workload.

The Football Foundation are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance. The Football Foundation are the Premier League, The FA and the Governments charity that helps communities improve their local football facilities through football grants.

The Head of Finance will lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. With responsibility for a team of five you will lead and provide statutory, financial and management accounting, including all financial planning and analysis, for the Football Foundation (Foundation) and the Premier League Stadium Fund.

The role:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organisation’s visions e.g. treasury management, developing long term cashflow strategies to maximise returns to the organisation.
• Lead and work with the SMT, Management Group, PMO Lead, and Data & Insight team to create and maintain financial and cost models to support the development and finalisation of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, focusing on the relationship between services, resources, and productivity.
• Work with the CFO in preparing and presenting the consolidated budget and plan to the SMT and ARG Committee.
• Develop high level models to support strategic and operational decision making, e.g. assessment of financial sustainability of grant applications and monthly reporting to funders in line with contractual obligations.
• Continue the development and transitioning of the finance team from a mainly transactional team to a team providing forwarding looking information. Enhance collaborative decision making through improved business partnering and transparent reporting.
• Ensure all legal entities comply with relevant legislation and prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT, Charity Commission, and other statutory financial returns as appropriate.

Essential criteria:

• Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified financial and operational management experience.
• Proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the entire finance function, including hands on experience in delivering business partnering.
• Knowledge of the legislative, tax and regulatory framework of companies, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
• Leading an end-to-end external audit process.

The Role

Key Targets

• Fundraising target of £250,000 funding from new partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Institutional Funding and Partnership Manager:
• To lead on identification of partnerships in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America.
• Lead in the mapping of potential donors and partners.
• Conduct detailed desk research on potential donors and partners.
• Develop seasonal proposals including Ramadan, Winter, Qurbani and whenever there are emergencies.
• Carry out regular field visits to potential donors/partners to explain our expertise and interests.
• Categorise partners based on their structure, expertise, geographical location, and interest.
• Update database by collecting, recording and uploading information of potential partnerships, to the highest degree of accuracy.
• Support the organisational capacity assessment of potential partnerships.

• Participate in the sub-award proposals review and approval process as needed.
• Ensure excellent relations with key partners and put in place systems that maintain them.
