Rekindle was started in Newtown, Powys in 1997 by a group of people who had all experienced mental health problems within their own families. The aim was to give relief to those suffering from mental illness with therapy and targeted activities. Rekindle is all about recovery, the recovery of mental health, the recovery of opportunity and the recovery of a fulfilled life.
What will you be doing?
In addition to general trustee responsibilities, we're particularly interested with in candidates who have an interest in local business connections or experience in fundraising or mental health service delivery. Depending on skill, some specific responsibilities may include:
- Fundraising oversight
- Grant applications
- Event planning
- Community engagement
- Service development
- Partnership Building
- Client advocacy
Time commitment
- Estimated at 8 - 10 hours a month.
- The board meet 4 times a year, generally in person. Remote attendance can be supported, but trustees are encouraged to attend at least 2 meetings a year face to face.
- Trustees are also expected to contribute ad hoc and occasional time outside of board meetings, the majority of which is done remotely.
What are we looking for?
You do not need previous governance experience to join the board. We will provide an induction an ongoing support. We are also eager to diversify our board and welcome younger trustees and those with lived experience.
We are particularly looking for skills in fundraising and service development.

Overview of the role:
Uttlesford Foodbank are seeking to recruit Trustees with an interest in helping others, who are willing to uphold the food bank’s values, and who can bring life experience to the board of trustees. As a Trustee you will play a vital role by ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community as well as providing strategic direction for the charity.

- To work alongside the Treasurer and the trustee board to ensure the organisation’s financial dealings are systematically accounted for and on time, independently examined (on income over £25k) and made publicly available when necessary.

- To ensure appropriate financial plans are in place for future budget allocations as well as looking after contractual agreements with external partners that award money for core costs and additional projects.

Get Out There groups are a growing division of Sense that cater for children between 6 and 16 with complex needs. We provide a 4 hour social setting which caters for children and families who need respite. We offer activities such as games, puzzles, arts and crafts, experiments, cookery and sensory play. We aim to tailor sessions to the needs, interests and abilities of the children we support and put pupil voice at the center of all we do.

About the opportunity
Can you spare 2 hours a week on a Thursday evening to work with some of the most friendly, welcoming people you’ll ever meet? If so, then please come and help our volunteers to organise fun activities at our ever-growing club for people with learning disabilities. No previous experience is needed, you just need a caring attitude and sense of fun.
Our club is split into two age groups 14-25 yrs (Juniors Club) and 25 yrs+ (Vets Club). Our specialist club leaders will support and train you and you’ll benefit from working in a very rewarding environment!
What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a Governor (Chair of Residential Care Sub-Committee) to join our governing body at St John's College.
All Governors are expected to play their part in contributing to the overall work of St John's College's aims and goals in raising its standards for all. We are seeking Governors for St John's College Governing Body to play a vital part in supporting autistic children and young people.
We are looking for individuals that have experience in either special educational provision or adult social care provision. However we would encourage any individual applying for this role, if they are interested in becoming a Governor, as we will be able to offer a number of training.
The role of a Governor is to:
• Determine what education and training the college will provide.
• Agree the strategy for delivering it.
• Lead the drive for improved standards in teaching and learning by ensuring good control systems.
• Challenge areas for improvement.
Each individual Governor has a responsibility, working alongside other members of the Governing Body, to learners, staff of the school and the wider community.
We offer all our Governors an in-depth induction, termly training sessions and a variety of online training courses to ensure they can make the most of their time on the Governing Body. In addition, there are opportunities for Governors to take on more responsibility as a Link Governor in a specific topic area they are interested in.
