The Role:
As Head of Fundraising, you will play a central role in Racing Welfare’s strategic direction and growth. Job Purpose
The postholder will be responsible for two key organisational areas:
- Practice Education to an allocation of student social workers: 80% of workload
- Support with induction planning and administrative tasks relevant to the student placement programme: 20% of workload
The postholder will be responsible for providing student social workers with effective, high-quality supervision and support throughout their practice placements and maintaining accurate records of student work undertaken to inform holistic assessments of students’ practice. This role will entail stakeholder engagement both with internal leaders and external partners. The role will involve maintaining close working relationships and crossover workstreams with the Business Support Team, Health & Safety systems, and compliance responsibilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Student Social Work Placements:
• Maintain relationships with key placement providers through provision of high-quality practice education,
• Practice Educate placements for their entirety at the charity,
• Write reports relating to the above.
• Support a continual and iterative induction process with support when inducting students to all relevant systems – utilising experts across the organisation to deliver elements of the package,
• Work in partnership with Business Support to implement appropriate systems relating to e-learning and hand over to line management during induction,

Moss Side Millennium Powerhouse is a busy community and youth centre based charity located in Moss Side, Manchester. Job Purpose
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Additionally, you will support the CEO in cultivating major gifts and managing corporate partnerships.
You will play a key role in providing collaborative support to our emerging fundraising effort in Uganda, particularly with their innovative 'Giving Circle' programme, which is backed by the Ugandan Board. We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.

Income generation
- Responsible for supporting the development of a 3-year community fundraising income strategy to grow income from a modest base of £125k per year to circa £275k per year.

Bringing the Mast Cell Activation Syndrome community together
Our client is a small UK rare disease charity. Our client established at the end of 2015 to respond to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). MCAS is a crippling, unpredictable and frightening condition affecting the immune system. Sufferers from MCAS have “wrongly programmed” immune systems that react to a wide range of triggers including food, drink, stress, temperature and many others. The effects range from unpleasant allergic reactions, through to an overall debilitation resulting in people being unable to leave their houses. It was first recognised internationally in 1990, with a set of diagnostic criteria agreed in 2011, but is little known or understood in the UK, where incidence seems to be increasing. Here patients can wait 3-5 years for a diagnosis, often receive very little knowledge or help from within the medical establishment and can find themselves in a frightening limbo.
Their mission is to provide support for MCAS patients & their families; to bring the MCAS community together and create a cohesive voice; to lobby for awareness, universally available diagnosis and the best possible care for MCAS patients; and to inspire increased research into mast cell activation and related conditions, to improve understanding and treatment.
