Our website provides vital advice and support to millions of people affected by dementia and inspires our supporters to be a force for change by campaigning, joining events and fundraising.
We work with people affected by dementia to tell their stories and create content that reflects the full range of their experiences. Informed by user research and analytics, we seek to optimise our digital platforms, making them easier for our audience to understand and use.
As well as designing and optimising web content, the successful candidate will advise colleagues around the organisation on best digital content practices, such as writing for the web, SEO and accessibility. They will collaborate with teams to ensure our digital content always represents the needs of people affected by dementia and our supporters.
This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must hold a current UK passport and reside in the UK. The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie. This is a key role for Marie Curie, responsible for managing a team of over 100 people and having responsibility for over £20 million Income, the recruitment of legacy prospects, the delivery of fundraising events and the strategic approach of supporter facing volunteers.
The Fundraising teams based in communities across the UK are responsible for raising money, driving legacy sign ups, building event participation and profit and growing awareness and engagement of the need for and impact of the charity’s work amongst supporters and people who have the potential to support Marie Curie. With all local relationships managed by this role’s teams, the post will ensure that supporters have a connected, seamless experience.
The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in a fundraising environment with a successful track record in increasing voluntary income or revenue. ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Lead role is to support safeguarding practice in dioceses and cathedrals across the Church of England.
As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will support the development of best safeguarding practices in one of eight regional clusters of Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and cathedrals. Providing professional supervision and quality assurance to Safeguarding Officers, you will support the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice. You will facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources, group supervision, and the commissioning of joint initiatives between Church bodies. Working closely with senior managers, senior clergy and other stakeholders, you will ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing 1:1 professional supervision to Safeguarding Officers in dioceses and cathedrals, informed by the 4x4x4 integrated/restorative model of supervision (Morrisson & Wonnacott).
- Providing advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations.
- Using tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes ensuring the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
- Leading regional networks of safeguarding professionals from dioceses and cathedrals, and facilitating joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements.

Main purpose and scope of the role:
Parentkind is a national charity representing 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and has a long term ambition to be the voice of parents in policy making.
We are looking for someone to support our work in Westminster and Whitehall, improving our relationships across Parliament and inside government as we seek to be the credible voice of parents in UK policy making.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of advocacy and policy research in Westminster, either within Parliament or government. If you have a passion for politics, a background in policy research and an interest in education policy and politics this is the role for you.
The role will involve:
- Conducting research on parents, including polling of parents and their views. We have an ambition to make high quality policy recommendations based on this research.
- Alongside the research requirements of the role, you will be expected to support our political and broader stakeholder engagement activity to make sure the work we do is seen by the right people.
- Organise and plan political events to communicate our research, including roundtables, lunches and dinners and launch events in Westminster.
- Lead on responding to public consultations on behalf of Parentkind to ensure the voice of parents is heard in the public consultations.
You will represent Parentkind at important events and meetings and have the chance to promote our research and policy recommendations. We would particularly welcome candidates who can demonstrate some media experience, including writing press releases and placing stories with national media outlets.

- To conduct research under the guidance of the Director of Policy and Research.
- To produce summarise large amounts of information and produce briefing material on education policy for external audiences, often at pace.

Policy development
- To provide rapid briefing material for any relevant future business relating to Parliament and the UK government.

They are now looking for a Grants Officer, to join their team, on a temporary basis, initially until October 2024 with the potential of extension.
As their Grants Officer, you will work in a team of grant management professionals, alongside a manager and an experienced programme coordinator to ensure the smooth running of one of their high-profile programmes. You will be responsible for a range of tasks across the project/grants management cycle, including assessment of funding applications, undertaking due diligence procedures, processing and managing claims, making payments, monitoring projects, analysing programme data, and liaising with project staff, grantees, and funders.
To be considered for this role, you will have significant experience of working in capital or complex grant management, ideally within the charity sector or similar. You will also have experience of working on a variety of partnerships, contracts and grant programmes involving a range of stakeholders, project types and grant sizes, with the ability to manage your own workload and support colleagues in a busy team. Duties:

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). Job Summary
This is a 14-21 hours per week part time temporary 6 month contract. The pro rata salary for hours worked is between £12,658 - £18,987 per year (£31,645 full time equivalent).
There is one role that can be done from any of akt's offices in Manchester, London, Newcastle or Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and professional individual to join our team to support our work with young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness. The role primarily involves quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting to inform akt’s strategic direction and demonstrate our impact externally.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative analysis of Services data, generating key insights to inform strategic direction and demonstrate akt’s impact.
- Produce regular internal reports for Services management on progress towards key performance indicators.
- Lead on presenting data to various audiences, including Services staff, senior management, Trustees, and funders.
- Build reports and dashboards on our CRM, In-Form (SalesForce), to support with data analysis and monitoring, and help Services staff to manage their caseload and performance.
