ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.
This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
The North & East of Scotland is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from hospitals across the region, and our Home from Home, ‘Ciaran’s House’ in Edinburgh, enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams are a must.
Candidates should live within North & East Scotland, in one of the following counties: Aberdeenshire, Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Edinburgh & the Lothians, Fife, Highland, Inverness, Moray or Perth & Kinross. Candidates who live outside of these counties should highlight an intention to relocate to the area in their covering letter for their application to be considered .

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Our vision is a world in which all women and girls are economically equal and live their lives free of abuse and exploitation.
Economic abuse is a form of coercive and controlling behaviour: 95% of women who experience domestic abuse will experience economic abuse. It limits their choices and ability to access safety.
We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising; transforming professional responses; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy.

About the Compass Project
The Compass Project Coordinator will work as part of an exciting new partnership between Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA), Living Without Abuse (LWA) and RISE (Refuge, Information, Support & Education). The Compass Project seeks to develop best practice responses to economic abuse within the coordinated community response by working with local professionals to help them understand and respond to economic abuse.
About the Compass Project Coordinator role
The Compass Project Coordinator will work to:
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders across the Project areas (Brighton & Hove, Leicester, Rutland and Leicestershire), coordinating stakeholder engagement and access to training and resources.
- Work closely with the Interim Women’s Sector Manager to coordinate and implement the Compass Project in pilot sites.
The Compass Project Coordinator will:
1. Collaborate with Compass Project Partners to:
- Support the coordination of training and dissemination of resources to professionals across the two pilot sites.
- Identify and engage with local lived experience groups and women with experience of economic abuse, ensuring inclusion of women from minoritised groups, to inform and guide our work.
- Develop and maintain key working relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders and partners across the two local sites including the facilitation of links with money and debt advice services, and local financial services.
- Support the collection of qualitative and quantitative data from the network for the purpose of project and external evaluation.
2. Facilitating access to economic abuse training and resources:
- Develop and deliver tailored training sessions on economic abuse to enable frontline workers to recognise and respond to economic abuse.
- Work with Compass Project Partners to integrate relevant economic abuse content into existing resources.
- Implement data collection processes to support the evaluation of the project.
- Ensure effective communication with the project group and coordination of activities across the two pilot sites. Promote and facilitate SEA’s established routes to support for survivors and professionals.
- Attend local VAWG/DA Network meetings in a consultative capacity as an expert for economic abuse.
- Work with the communications teams across project partners to effectively promote the project.
- Facilitate referrals for women to the Domestic and Financial Abuse Team at Lloyds Banking Group and other banks/building societies we have direct links into.
3. General Duties and Responsibilities

- Represent SEA in training and presentation requests.
- Contribute to evaluation reports and presentations as required for the Compass Project.
- To contribute to the promotion of SEA and its work and uphold its behaviours and values.

We are looking for a domestic abuse and/or frontline community professional with an interest in developing expertise around economic abuse. In order to apply, you should have the following skills and experience:

The role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in establishing and developing Global Greengrants Fund UK’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) work. The new role of MEAL Officer will undertake high-quality data management and analysis to produce key learnings on the outcomes of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activity, as well as leading system improvements to our evolving monitoring, evaluation and learning framework in collaboration with global colleagues. They will be providing support to the emerging global learning function, and the role will support the delivery of learning activities across our network to develop clear briefs, learnings and findings that can be used by other functions, including the Communications and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to strengthen the organisation’s external and internal engagement and knowledge sharing activities. This will include developing appropriate methodologies and tools to collate, validate, summarise, analyse and report on key trends within our grantmaking using and improving on a range of data sources including grantee application forms and reports. The candidate profile
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They will be an experienced, senior-level specialist with a strong track record in data collection, monitoring and analysis, with good working knowledge of a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, tools and systems, and in using this information to evaluate and recommend adaptations, and in reporting. Higher-level qualifications/certification in a relevant field, post-graduate qualification would be a distinct advantage, particularly in the social sciences and/or use of mixed method approaches. They will have demonstrated experience authoring MEAL related reports, either organisational reports or academic publications; demonstrated ability to coordinate and improve the process of data collection, analysis and reporting and demonstrated experience in managing datasets, databases, programming, and other analysis software. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and be confident in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels. They have exceptional organisational and research abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy, including analysing large amounts of information from disparate sources. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies. the3million is looking for a new Community Organiser to help us build the power of EU citizens in the UK and of their non-EU family members, working alongside two other Organisers in our team and the members of our EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network
Since Brexit, EU citizens in the UK and their family members have been brought under the Hostile Environment. the3million has been providing information to EU citizens and has continuously advocated for a fairer immigration system, especially in making the EU Settlement Scheme more accessible to all.
We provide a platform for EU citizens to become politically active and use their voices to advocate for themselves. The Community Organiser will be part of a team to create opportunities for EU citizens to have increased capacity to engage in activism and lead the change they want to see in the UK, their home.
This role is at an officer level and suitable for people who are looking for their first paid role in Organising, but have had some grassroots experience, even if on an informal or voluntary basis. You can expect to be mentored by an experienced Community Organiser and thereby learn a lot while on the job. More experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.We are currently in the process of applying for funding to extend this role. If we are successful, the contract will be extended by 2 years and we will work with the successful Organiser on a progression route, reviewing the job holder’s salary level after they have been in the role for 6 months.

1. Co-lead the3million’s “EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network”

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to recruit more members of the EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network by regularly reaching out to relevant communities and booking 1-1 meetings with key community leaders;

Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to support and guide our existing Network members made up of over 40 community leaders who have a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience in campaigning, developing their confidence and ability to become effective change-makers and encouraging them to take coordinated, strategic actions to advance our campaigns;

Co-facilitate monthly Network meetings: setting agendas, facilitating Breakout rooms, taking minutes and following up with Network members on their agreed actions;

Support the3million’s campaigns by supporting our Head of Policy and Advocacy on our MP-facing work in Parliament and our Communications Manager to ensure that our campaigns are featured on our social media, newsletters and clearly communicated to key stakeholders such as partner organisations in the migration sector and to key community leaders on the ground
2. Relationship-building and in-person workshops

Rolling out a series of “listening sessions” and “Know Your Rights” workshops with community groups across the country: liaising with relevant community leaders to visit them and their communities, this may include working on Saturdays (and taking time off in lieu during the week) and running in-person sessions. You will receive guidance on the format from the Community Organiser - Campaigns but will be the main person delivering such sessions on the ground.
3. Professional learning and development

Our GOF team sits within the larger operations function under the Director of Finance & Operations. The team is responsible for managing Elrha's financial planning, management and reporting; and leads on the operational aspects of grant management.
As our new Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our programmes and activities run smoothly and efficiently. Supporting the Head of GOF, you will complete financial activities and reports, manage statutory and project audits plus develop (and improve) financial management processes.
You will be analytical, resourceful and have strong technical accounting, financial management and reporting experience. It is essential that you are either a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in the financial management of grants from institutional donors within the International Aid Sector.
- Experience of managing restricted expenditure and reporting to institutional donors.
- Experience in the management of budgets and financial management information with complex funding arrangements.
- An understanding of grantee financial management and compliance
- Strong understanding of risk management and audit principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, specifically Excel
- An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.
Experience of grant management, knowledge of IATI, and knowledge of accounting/tax principles relating to charities would also be an advantage.
