The Peer Mentoring programme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of young people (aged 10-24) with Sickle Cell Disorder (SCD) across North-West England (Liverpool, Manchester) and South Yorkshire (Sheffield).

Salary:£15.00 per hour (sessional basis)

Role Purpose

The Lead Mentor will be managing the mentor team as well as working in partnership with the local NHS local patient/family Support Groups in their region. They will deliver mentoring sessions to young people on a sessional basis.

Mentor Administrator

Role Purpose

The Mentor Administrator will work with the mentoring team, as well as in partnership with local NHS services and local patient/family support groups, providing various administrative support tasks to ensure the delivery and smooth running of the Children and Young Adults Peer Mentoring programme. The post will be managed by the North-West and South Yorkshire Programme Manager. The post holder will have regular meetings for input and guidance to complete tasks to specified timelines. This role would suit an experienced administrator.

About New Beginnings Foundation

The New Beginnings Foundation is a charity that supports families whose children are in the child protection system in the Greater Manchester area. We are not a statutory service and we are more than a parenting programme. We provide a wrap around service that enables parents to understand how past traumatic events have affected their identity, their coping strategies and their parenting skills. 

We recognise that becoming a parent is one of life's most complex challenges. Our aim, therefore, is to support parents in the child protection process to develop the strength, knowledge and power they need to become the parents they want to be so that their children can stay in their care. At the end of the programme, we hope that parents stay with us, so that they can become peer mentors and share their insight and learning to help other parents do the same. 

We have grown since we began in 2018. We have now supported over 200 families, an ever-growing team and our turnover is approximately £200k p.a.
 

At present, we are in a positive position with regards to our fundraising and finances and as a result, we are now looking to expand so we can reach new local authorities who we can collaborate with across the Greater Manchester area.

We're looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Senior Youth Worker to join our amazing team at Peer Power Youth. You'll be responsible for leading, delivering and evaluating young people’s involvement in our creative ‘voice and influence’ projects, where you will co-create and work alongside young people in secure settings and the community. You will also have the chance to lead on a specialist area of work within the team.

Are you the kind of person who can identify, engage and build relationships with (ex)prisoners who are open to change? We are currently seeking a self-motivating and outgoing Case Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily work within HMP Brixton, providing essential support to men preparing for release and continuing to assist them as they reintegrate into the community across London. This role is central to our mission to empower those leaving prison and resettling in London to transform their lives through mentoring, advocacy, and peer support. This role will involve confidently mixing on the prison wing, to identify and recruit individuals (potential members) who would benefit from Change for Good’s services.

Change for Good Community Chaplaincy Limited (CfG), a registered charity since 2012, is a volunteer mentoring charity that works across London supporting prison-leavers before and after their release from prison and as they resettle in the community. We do this through our ‘through the gate’ work, volunteer mentoring, and liaising with many organisations and support groups across the criminal justice sector (see www.changeforgood.info).

We are looking for a Case Worker to join our small team at a very exciting time of growth for our charity. The last 4 years have seen Change for Good go from a mentoring project in HMP Wandsworth to an innovative resettlement charity serving 4 prisons, our Next Chapter peer support group and mentoring relationships across London.

Our office is based in Stockwell. The Case worker will be required to travel to locations across London each week.

The work will include:

● Being a source of information on what prison organisations/services are available to clients and volunteers

● Identifying those who can gain from our support, engaging them, assessing needs and risks

● Matching clients to volunteers, tracking progress

● Enabling peer support group(s) and their development

● Building and maintaining relationships with Prisons, Probation and other key stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

● Experience of working with offenders and ex-offenders in prison or in the community

Job Purpose 

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the cutting edge of the growth in Shaw Trust Supported Internships.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with workforce development experience to lead on our workforce development strategy and associated projects. In this role, you will support our network of public library leaders and contribute to the Futures Hub, a new initiative aimed at generating evidence to help public libraries meet the challenges of the coming decade.

• To manage the development of a workforce leadership and skills strategy working alongside key partners

Libraries Connected has established a Process and Administration Team (PAT) whose role is to ensure that the Libraries Connected staff receive efficient and cohesive administrative support, and that resilience is built into the administrative processes in terms of knowledge sharing, process documentation and consistency. As a member of the Process and Administration team, this role will also have broader responsibilities across the organisation including supporting finance processing, development and maintenance of organisational systems, and the opportunities to work across a range of activities alongside the primary role.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons.  To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the East region. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the North region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including some overnight stays.

This role will be prison-based and will cover a number of prisons across our East Region including: HMP Wayland, HMP Norwich, HMP Bure, HMP Chelmsford, HMP Whitemoor, HMP Bedford, HMP Littlehey, HMP Gartree, HMP Leicester and HMP Whatton. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed.

Job purpose

The NSPCC is seeking an Data and Insights Manager to join the Commercial Strategy Team within the Professional Learning Services department (PLS). The successful applicant will be experienced in developing data strategies, managing data teams  as well as have experience of presenting customer and market insights to influence commercial decision making.

This is a new role which provides the opportunity to lead a growing team and shape and develop how the PLS department uses customer and performance data to help us grow our income, shape our product offer and reach more professionals to keep children safe.

Candidates should have a keen eye for detail and be confident communicating data strategies and insights to their stakeholders, plus have a willingness and drive to want to create change for children.

The key aspects of this role are:

• Take responsibility for creating and implementing the PLS data strategy to move towards creation of a single customer view.

• Take responsibility for the delivery of the following areas for the department: data systems and processes, performance and customer data visualisation , market insights and reporting

• To lead, manage and develop the PLS Data and Insights team in line with corporate standards in order to  grow our capacity and ability to use customer and product data

• To help drive an audience-led culture to support decision making

Main duties and responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for developing and implementing the PLS data strategy to move towards creation of a single customer view, covering areas such as data systems, data visualisation tools and market insights

• Individually and/or through the team, to implement agreed strategies to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of data reporting and systems in line with PLS business plan and priorities.

• To recruit, train, develop and manage the PLS Data and Insights team  in line with NSPCC policies and practice including regular team meetings and regular performance reviews, coaching and mentoring staff to achieve high performance, growth and personal development.

• To work with the Marketing and Planning team to provide accurate data and insights to help inform our departmental annual marketing plan

• Take overall responsibility for all market insights, research and competitor analysis to inform our pricing strategy and product portfolios

• To be responsible for improving the data quality of the department, introducing audits and processes to achieve best practice

• To be accountable for accurately reporting on the corporate impact measures and Key Performance Indicators for the department in line with directorate and organisation wide requirements

• Support all users, including the Senior Leadership Team, with ad-hoc deep dive analysis & insight requests.

• Work with colleagues in the Tech directorate to support the implementation of any new data systems, processes and platforms as part of a wider tech project

• Take responsibility for integrating the PLS department into any cross directorate data projects

• Identifying opportunities through data-driven analysis to incorporate into sales and marketing activity that targets new and existing customers including opportunities to cross-sell across different NSPCC Learning products and services.

• To be accountable for the development of relationships with internal customers supported by the team, including pro-actively improving knowledge and understanding of internal customers and their role to support the NSPCC’s aims.

Person specification

1. Highly developed experience analysing data (ideally customer and audience data) and delivering insights to inform commercial decision making

2. Highly developed knowledge and experience of data management systems and ability to use statistical and data analysis packages

3. Experience of creating and delivering data strategies to improve business performance

4.  Experience in using data visualisation tools to create dashboards that improves efficiency and enables self-serve insight

5. Ability to build, manage and develop relationships within an organisation and externally and achieve objectives through these relationships.

6. The ability to plan, monitor and implement projects and initiatives, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities, and ensuring that own work and work of others is completed to a high standard.

7. Excellent presentation skills and ability to write reports both verbally and in writing

8.  Experience in using Microsoft based software packages, CRM systems, databases, Power BI and applications.

The Role

As our Deputy CEO, you'll support the development and implementation of Unfold’s organisational strategy and be responsible for the delivery of programme, funding and impact strategies. 

You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of Unfold by supporting the development and implementation of Unfold’s organisational strategy and taking ownership of the delivery of our programmes, funding and impact strategies. Location: St George’s Hospital

Salary: (Salary Band 3.1) £32,356.69 (unqualified) or £33,000 (DAPA / IDVA qualification) up to £34,478.44 per annum

Unqualified IDVAs will start on the lower end of the band and after successful 6-month probation will have to successfully complete DAPA qualification to progress to £33,000.

About the Service

The Major Trauma Centre project support young people aged 11-25 who present at St Marys Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Royal London, and St Georges Hospitals who have experienced, or are at risk of, domestic abuse, sexual violence, sexual exploitation, honour-based violence, and any other form of violence against women and girls. We work with young people of all genders and sexuality.

This role provides intensive, crisis intervention support to young people impacted by domestic and or sexual violence who presents at emergency hospital departments.

The MTC project is run in close partnership with Redthread youth violence hospital-based charity, and together we deliver excellent holistic support for survivors, as well as training and advice for hospital staff.

About the Role

MTC Youth Crisis IDVA provide person centred, strength based, trauma informed high quality case work support and advice to survivors of abuse through needs and risk assessment while developing safety plans and working in close partnership with statutory and local agencies to minimise the risk of abuse.  You will promote the service in the hospitals through building positive relationships with hospital staff, in particular safeguarding teams and clinicians, to ensure a steady flow of appropriate referrals while regularly deliver training to hospital staff to raise awareness of domestic abuse. You will appropriately respond to safeguarding concerns and represent cases at MARAC when needed.

Please note that : This position will require working pattern of two early shifts (7:30am to 3:30pm), two late shifts, (1pm to 9pm) twice a month. There will be one Friday late shift and one Saturday every 6 weeks.
