We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland. You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a communications role (or related field) along with excellent written skills. You will have a strong track record of delivering engaging social media content across different channels and audiences to support organisational priorities. - To provide a high quality, client-led trauma informed support service to children and young people affected by suicide, enabling them to Address issues resulting from experiences of suicide
- Empower children and young people to aspire to a positive future
- Contribute to the prevention of future potential attempted suicide by promoting healthy attitudes to relationships, life, resilience, families and their communities and friendships
Role tasks:
- Provide early identification, intervention and support to CYP to prevent the development of negative health outcomes for children who have been affected by suicide. With a focus on identifiers such as poor school performance, decreased social adjustment and higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression.
- This service will have a pathway dedicated to working with children and young people that runs parallel to the core service. This will comprise of:
- • Immediate response following the suspected incident of suicide loss with a focus on supporting children and young persons around communication and addressing immediate issues of uncertainty, anxiety, anger and blame.
- • Deliver Group interventions and peer support focused on exploring reactions to death and suicide and strengthening coping skills for bereaved children.
- • Individual emotional and practical support and signposting to appropriate specialist services.
- • Coordination with other key stakeholders that may be involved in the care of the child or young person. This may include schools, community groups, GPs and other professionals.
- The service will be sensitive and adaptable to the child or young person’s communication style and ensure any support materials developed are relevant and age appropriate. Parents and carers will also need support to find the best words to share 11 information with children, ways of opening up conversations and how to respond to difficult questions.
- The service will provide support to education settings such as schools, colleges and universities located within NW London. Offer guidance on developing and implementing postvention protocols and procedures to be followed in the aftermath of a suicide in the community.
- This might include providing resources and support to affected students, staff, and parents, as well as facilitating open and honest communication about the incident. In addition, it will offer emotional and practical support and signposting for students and staff who may be experiencing grief and trauma related to the suicide loss.
- This can be done through individual or group sessions, which provide a safe space for individuals to express their emotions and receive guidance on coping strategies.
- Work within a whole family approach to supporting young people, facilitating clear pathways into relevant services and maintaining effective information sharing between services.
- Assess, manage, and review risks to children/young people (CYP), parents, colleagues, and self.
- Assess the needs of CYP and develop outcome focussed support plans using solution focussed, strength-based methods, in partnership with the CYP and, as appropriate, parent/carer, enabling them to increase feelings of safety and recover from their experiences of suicide postvention
- Implement and review support and risk management plans to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Develop and deliver planned interventions to meet needs and improve outcomes for CYP and families, including tailored one to one support and group work.
- Deliver appropriate interventions for CYP relating to postvention suport
- Deliver programmes promoting safe relationships to prevent future experiences of abuse.
- Plan and implement activities to ensure the service is informed by the voices of CYP so we understand their needs and how we can improve our services.

We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Legal Advisor to join our Legal Services Team. The Senior Legal Advisor will represent the Legal Services Team on a number of Panels and Committees, such as the Procurement Panel, and would be the lead point of contact with the Legacy Team.
Qualifications:
For this role you would need to be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practise in England (or comparable jurisdiction) preferably holding a practising certificate. Previous in-house experience would be viewed positively.

· 5+ years PQE and experience in commercial contract law

The Water Security Senior Advisor is a senior position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the Water Security Lead. IPD operates in 17 African and Asian countries. PSK leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management, collating and disseminating programme knowledge and facilitating knowledge exchange.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Water Security Lead, the Senior Advisor Water Security co-leads the delivery of core team responsibilities regarding the thematic areas of water and other closely associated topics. Applying a people-centered, systems strengthening approach to WASH, they provide high-quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid's programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.
In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, they co-lead the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and co-leads the development of relevant standards and guidance.
The Water Security Senior Advisor will:
Provide and coordinate targeted technical support to Wateraid programming (approximately 50% of time)
- Provide in-depth strategic and technical advisory support on water security, water resources and environment, catchment and watershed protection, hydrogeology, water supply, water quality, services delivery and management models, engineering and procurement, assets management, resilience, sustainability, and/or other inter-related topics for high quality WASH programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, including households, schools, health care facilities and/or other relevant public places, incorporating WaterAid's and the sector's leading practices, innovations and methods.
- Coordinate with other technical colleagues for coherent embedding of cross-cutting topics such as gender, climate, systems strengthening, finance, and partnerships.
- Provide high quality, detailed technical analysis and advisory support to project design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments.
- Co-lead the facilitation of thought leadership on these technical topics across the organisation. Act as a subject-matter authority.
Support programme learning and knowledge management (approx. 15% time)
- Co-lead capturing of organisational programme knowledge and experience on water-related topics.
- Co-lead facilitation of effective learning and knowledge management on these topics across the organisation. Guide and support country and regional colleagues to do the same.
- Identify knowledge and implementation gaps on these topics. Coordinate with relevant teams to develop and carry out practical research plans.
Support development of programme guidance and standards (approx. 5% time)
- Co-lead the development of water-related normative frameworks, standards and guidance materials for both internal and external audiences in collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues.
- Support country, regional and global colleagues to develop a consistent understanding and application of water-related technical considerations into WaterAid's core programme work, and in applying relevant guidance, standards and considerations to their specific context.
Support fundraising, external engagement, and communications (approx. 20% time)

About You:

- A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience.

This role comes at an exciting time with the opportunity to lead the growth of MQ’s Development Team as we expand our capacity across all these areas of income generation. - Provide inspirational leadership to the MQ Development Team, managing the current team of five to deliver our £3m 2025 budget

There is an opportunity for an Administrative Associate to join their London office on a temporary basis until mid-December.
Administrative Associate
Location: central London (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office)
Pay: £14.50 per hour plus £1.75 per hour holiday pay
Working Hours: 30-35 hours per week (depending on workload)
Duration: Until mid-December

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily administrative operations of the London office, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Provide friendly, professional support to staff, volunteers, and visitors, many of whom are from a global community where English is not their first language.
- Maintain a welcoming and secure environment for all office visitors.
- Manage phone calls, emails, letters, packages, calendars, and travel arrangements for staff.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with managers, volunteers, and members.
- Set up and manage corporate accounts (Zoom, Google Workspace) and assist with IT queries.
- Organise and coordinate logistics for office events, such as staff training days and HR Network events.
- Continuously improve administrative systems and processes to enhance office efficiency.
You will be a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in administrative roles, particularly within a multicultural environment, will be highly valued.

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator.
Help us make more happen at one of the UK’s leading universities, UCL. We’re looking for someone to take our digital communications forward, grow our social media channels, and keep us at the cutting edge of content and trends. You’ll run the day-to-day operation of our primary digital channels, including social media, and support other teams across the charity to use their digital channels effectively, making sure our communication is consistent and high-quality.
This is a full time and permanent role. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based.

Our ideal candidate will plan, create and publish a regular schedule of high quality and engaging content across our digital communications channels, including through newsletters and social media, delivering a consistent brand experience, messaging and tone of voice for key audiences. The right candidate will work with creators to develop content that is relevant to our audience and supports our priorities. Where required, create original content to support specific projects and campaigns. The successful role holder will also be responsible for content on our websites and digital assets, ensuring content is high quality, accessible and reflects the organisation’s values.
