About the role
We are seeking a Learning and Development Manager to work with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development to develop an ambitious learning and development strategy for Emmaus UK.
As a hands-on Learning & Development Manager, you will play a critical role in developing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees, companions, volunteers and trustees across the Emmaus Federation and within Emmaus UK.
Your primary focus will be on developing and delivering effective learning interventions, programs and initiatives that align with the goals of Emmaus and support the growth and development of its people.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of employees, companions, volunteers and trustees, contributing to a positive learning culture, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of learning initiatives.

We are looking for a high-performing Learning and Development Manager, with experience working in a learning and development role, including experience of delivering training in-person and online to a range of stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be able to deliver effective and engaging learning and development programmes and will have experience of identifying and analysing learning and development needs, developing relevant approaches and evaluating effectiveness, developing a strong culture of continuous improvement across Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Brand Operations Officer is responsible for managing the distribution of products donated by brands to community-led projects. This role plays a key part in developing and coordinating relationships with key logistics and storage partners.
Managing the brand donation logistic process in line with the organisational objectives, resulting in the successful allocation of products to reach areas of most need.
· Respond to and coordinate all brand enquiries
· Accurately allocate, and track all brand donations, ensuring prompt logging by Projects
· Work with the brands to ensure accurate data is provided and meets The Hygiene Bank’s requirements
· Work closely with existing partners to utilise storage and logistics solutions and continue to develop these relationships
· Record KPI’s and analyse the data

Purpose of Role
This Senior Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for a number of investments with Funded Partners, both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice, and be responsible for managing funding calls. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also work with colleagues from the Partnerships and Fundraising teams to assist with the mobilization of resources.
Working with the Head of Programme, the postholder will provide management support in the team, working with colleagues on specific team initiatives and cross-team collaborations, holding relationships with strategic importance, developing new areas of work, and other specific initiatives contributing to the team’s overall operational success.
Key responsibilities:
Management support
Manage specific cross-team collaborations, taking on link roles with other teams as required, including the development and delivery of fundraising and income partnerships and campaigns.
Lead, contribute to and/or coordinate the development of proposals and plans, including the start-up phase of new projects and partnerships.

In this role, you will drive the production and analysis of the quarterly restricted funding KPI reports, use your analytical expertise to ensure data quality and accuracy, and identify opportunities to improve our restricted funding management information tools. You will also contribute to the socialisation of our underlying restricted funding business process, in collaboration with the wider team and the WaterAid Programme System team.
You'll also:
- Lead on the bi-annual development, production and detailed analysis of restricted funding Key Performance Indicator reports (KPIs) for restricted income generation and management with support from the Power Bi team and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Support the Head of PFP in funding data analysis for board reports and adhoc reporting requests.
- Lead on the production of restricted funding reports to support the organisational performance framework and/or as required to improve visibility and accountability of restricted funding performance
- Lead on identifying restricted funding data quality checks and controls to ensure WAPS restricted funding data is as clean as possible and liaise with the relevant WAPS team lead to support on regular data audits.
- Regular review and refresh of restricted funding management information tools to ensure they are useful and innovative.

- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham

We have recently received funding from the National Lottery, and are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Centre. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a passion for the community we serve. To run our services well, you will blend admin expertise, project management ability, and social management skills.
Duties
- Oversee our volunteers and the daily operations of the centre, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for our clients
- Lead and manage other team members, providing guidance, support
- Develop programmes that address community needs for both social contact and health promotion
- Oversee admin, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain the confidence of the Board of Trustees and the Chair
- Manage fundraising activities to support centre initiatives and enhance community outreach
- Organise and manage social media platforms to engage with the community, promote events, and share educational content.
- Collaborate with local organisations and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and expand service offerings.
Requirements
- A passion for adding quality to older people's lives
- Strong empathy for social welfare
- Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in project management.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and strategies for effective community engagement
- Experience in fundraising initiatives is highly desirable
- Great communication skills with the ability to talk diverse audiences effectively
- Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Use modern tech to run our office - e.g. Teams, Power Apps
- Someone who can make our premises a great place to volunteer and work
Qualifications

Perhaps you have grown a successful business and are now looking for a change in early retirement. You might have had children, and been out of the workforce for some time.
