This new role will be responsible for communicating the life-changing impact that Screen Share has on thousands of refugees every year.
The postholder will create content, grow our audiences and deepen our relationships for the clear purpose of growing the organisation and facilitating our impact on refugees in need.
You will work directly with a range of stakeholders: refugees who choose to tell the story of their personal development in the UK; donors who choose to give their money to Screen Share to facilitate our impact; partner organisations who choose to collaborate with us to deliver our impact; and staff and volunteers who choose to work in this area to make a difference. Role Description: To support Director and Staff of Hackney Night Shelter for a period of 3 months (extension of the role may be possible but not guaranteed). This role is required to be in-person on site, Well Street, Hackney.
Leadership, management and governance
· Day to day operational leadership and management of the staff team (7) including its volunteers
· Oversight of HR activity, including staff recruitment, supervision and management, staff and volunteer training and development
· Be responsible for management of both night shelter sites overseeing maintenance (contractors) buildings
· Ensure effective guest referral, support and move on management and maintain occupancy levels across both shelters

Our client is a successful charity, they have a temporary requirement for an experienced support worker who has worked with young people 16 + who have complex needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis, covering early (8AM - 3.30PM), mid (12.30PM - 8PM) and late (3PM - 10.30PM) shifts. - Hold a caseload of 2 - 4 young people and undertake regular key working sessions resulting in co-produced support and safety plans that are SMART and evidence progress
- Assess the needs of young people in order to identify appropriate move on accommodation
- Produce comprehensive and high quality risk assessments and risk management plans
- Assess referrals to the project to ensure suitable young people can be accepted
- Provide a safe, welcoming and high-quality standard of accommodation, ensuring when young people move in they feel comfortable and welcomed and are given information concerning the building and other local services

- Work with social workers to enable young people to move back home if appropriate, or to support young people to identify opportunities for move on to appropriate supported, shared or self-contained accommodation

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The Assistant Director for POPS core business is pivotal to ensuring the efficient, effective and legally compliant management of POPS’ head office functions and organisational infrastructure. GENERAL
- Work productively alongside POPS Assistant Director for Operations and Business Development to ensure the success and future growth of the organisation

As an IDVA, you will be able to effectively work with men experiencing domestic abuse, and supporting them to increase their safety and reduce harm. You will be providing high-quality, front-line service to prioritise risk, primarily focusing on males aged 18+.
You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through attending meetings such as MARAC and DA (Domestic Abuse) Forums to keep safety central to all services for men suffering/have suffered domestic abuse. Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. Support clients through the family and/or criminal justice system.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centered support for service users. You will oversee accommodation projects that provide safe and stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and ensure that tailored support is available for those with complex needs.
You will also manage our Peer Mentoring Outreach Service, which empowers individuals with lived experience to mentor and support those at risk. Through innovative and inclusive approaches, you will help foster resilience, self-confidence, and long-term positive outcomes for service users.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility. Participation in the On-Call out of hours rota is also required.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff and volunteers to provide high-quality services.
- Service Delivery: Oversee the provision of accommodation and outreach services, ensuring they meet the needs of individuals affected by homelessness, complex needs, and the criminal justice system.
- Partnership Working: Work collaboratively with statutory agencies, charities, and community organizations to coordinate support and build effective referral pathways.
- Budget & Compliance: Manage budgets, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and meet contractual obligations.
- Strategic Development: Drive continuous service improvement, implementing new initiatives to enhance outcomes and address the evolving needs of service users.
- Peer Mentoring Program: Oversee the peer mentoring program, providing guidance and support to mentors who use their lived experience to help others.
