Location

Working with our Communications Co-ordinator you will help to build INTRAC’s profile and position in line with our strategic vision and ambitions. You will have active support from the CEO along with strong board commitment to help develop and deliver this role.
This is a part time role (0.6-0.8 FTE); initially offered as an eighteen month contract with the intention to extend should the role be successful.
We are a remote organisation, with staff working across the UK. As we become a global network we are looking at options as to how to expand our staff base in different geographies, as we believe this will benefit INTRAC and support our strategic direction. To support the growth in Wild Impact’s conservation and sustainable development impact, it is recruiting a UK based Senior Partnerships Manager, who will be responsible for developing and implementating a UK and W. Europe focused fundraising drive. Expectation is that the successful individual will be able to increase our existing annual fundraising level of ~$750,000 by an additional ~$ 750,000 by 2026, and thereafter increase their personal fundraising contribution by at least 20% per annum.
The successful applicant will report jointly to the Wild Impact South Africa CEO and the Trustees of Africa Foundation (UK) and work closely with the worldwide Wild Impact Fundraising and Partnerships team.
KEY OUTPUTS:
Development and management of a UK and W. Europe based fundraising and partnerships strategy that will enable the implementation of the shared Wild Impact and &Beyond Impact strategy, including:
o The drafting and submission of all project profiles and grant applications.
o Development and dissemination of all donor and partner communications.
o The delivery and progressive improvement of all donor and partner reports.
o Actively engaging with all donors and partners, which will include significant regional and international travelling.
o Representing Wild Impact at Fundraising events and relevant conferences and workshops focused on Conservation and Rural Community Development.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum of a Graduate degree.
- Good understanding of biodiversity conservation, climate resilience and sustainable rural development.
- Proven experience in developing, leading and nurturing fundraising strategies, including individual, corporate, government, bilateral agency and foundation partnerships.

Introduction and background
The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) was founded in 2011 by people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and organisations who understood the impact of perinatal mental problems and shared a commitment to improving the lives of women and their families.
Today, the MMHA is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations. We work with parents, families, clinicians, and academics to ensure all women, birthing people, babies, and families have access to high-quality, compassionate mental health care. We bring the perinatal mental health community together and make change happen by combining the power of real-life experience with clinical and professional expertise.
We actively contribute to significantly improving mental health outcomes for people who experience discrimination, trauma and deprivation during the perinatal period and tackle systemic inequity and injustice.
We are now seeking a Chief Executive to take over from our interim CEO and lead the MMHA in the next stage of our development.
We have recently been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Lottery Community Fund to tackle maternal mental health inequities through community action. This project, due to start in Spring 2025, will develop, test and replicate a model of community-based decision making, support and service provision that is led by women with lived experience. This project aims to achieve system change locally and nationally to improve the mental health of marginalised women and is the next phase of the MMHA’s programme to tackle maternal mental health inequities across the UK. This will be our biggest piece of work over the next five years and will dovetail with other activities aimed at achieving our mission, where funding allows.

Main responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
- To provide clear strategic and inspirational leadership to the MMHA To drive the MMHA forward into the next stage of its development
- To ensure MMHA tackles maternal mental health inequities across the UK
- To be responsible for the management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks laid down by the Board of Trustees
- To work with Chair and Trustees in shaping the MMHA’s strategic mission, policies, aims and objectives
- To ensure long term sustainability of the MMHA through effective governance, sound finance and implementation of operational plans.
People
- To take overall responsibility for all permanent and temporary staff, and other members of the MMHA team, including contractors, champions and ambassadors

Governance, finance and compliance
- To support the Chair and Trustees to ensure that the governance of the charity is proportionate and effective, and that the charity fulfils its legal, statutory, regulatory and moral duties and responsibilities
- To be responsible overall for the financial sustainability of the charity, and ensure that there are effective mechanisms to ensure the robustness of external and internal controls (financial and non-financial), supported by the Consultant Finance Director

Communications and external affairs

About the role:

Fighting With Pride is a ‘lived experience’ LGBTQ+ military charity, created in January 2020.
FWP supports LGBTQ+ veterans, serving personnel and their families. This support focuses on those who were affected by the ‘gay ban’.
The Chief Executive is responsible for providing leadership, developing, and implementing FWP strategic and operation plans, leading on partnership and development across Government, military charities and key stakeholders and being an advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries. Leadership
Be the principal ambassador of the charity.
To work in close partnership with the Chair and Board of Trustees to design, shape and implement the new strategy.

Job Purpose
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Role Summary
The Head of Sector Programmes plays a significant role in the strategy, design and delivery of our programme of support for students exploring their career options. This includes managing a team of Programme Managers who lead their own teams of Programme Coordinators to deliver key upReach programmes, planning high quality events, managing relationships with external stakeholders, and evaluating impact.

Make strategic decisions regarding the design and delivery of our sector programmes of support for students, creating a 12 month plan in advance of the start of each recruitment cycle.
Oversee multiple sector programmes, working closely with Programme Managers to monitor efficacy and ensure that high-quality, targeted interventions are delivered.
Guide the Programmes Team to design learning journeys (including events & opportunities) for Associates, in addition to the development of the resources, planning and delivery of events and opportunities relevant to the unique needs of the participants on our sector programmes.
Manage and track team progress to ensure that all organisational OKRs regarding programmatic impact are achieved and reported on to the Board of Trustees.
Be part of the Programmes Senior Leadership Team, setting Programme strategy and agreeing focus areas of the Programmes team to ensure that upReach maintains/improves its impact.
Take on a Deputy Responsibility for a key strategic area of organisational need within the Programmes team.
Work with the Partnerships Team to make strategic decisions about new opportunities to grow upReach's existing and new partnerships.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Manage a team of Programme Managers in a variety of locations, providing weekly 1-to-1 check-ins, reviews and personal development support. This includes coaching and enabling them to guide Programme Coordinators in their teams to manage day-to-day partnership responsibilities and relationship management.
Act as a role model within the Programmes Team, engaging in all programme interventions and activities to ensure successful, high quality programme delivery is embedded throughout the team.
Support with oversight of professional development within the Programmes Team, including objective setting, performance reviewing and appraisals.
Act as a Sponsor on key strategic Programmes projects, providing oversight and guidance to junior team members.
SKILLS
The ideal candidate for Head of Sector Programmes should display these skills:
Programme management at a senior level, including implementing and delivering interventions and guiding teams to meet objectives.
Ability to engage and flex communication style confidently with a variety of stakeholders, such as beneficiaries, upReach partners, all levels of employees across the organisation and Trustees.
Strong ability to manage, coach and train teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organisational skills, to manage a varied workload.
Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as independently, with a creative and a proactive attitude.
EXPERIENCE
To be successful, it is anticipated that you would have substantial knowledge and experience in:
Delivering all aspects of a programme end to end, from design to delivery and reporting and evaluation.
Overseeing multiple programmes simultaneously, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery across all programmes.
Making complex decisions taking into account beneficiary needs, stakeholder needs, wider organisation strategy and the mission of the charity.
Driving unique programme Objectives and Key Results and contributing to wider organisational strategy, intervening and supporting where necessary to ensure these are both met.
Partnership management, in the corporate or charity space.
Working directly with key stakeholders to manage and grow a relationship and/or partnership.
Managing and motivating a team remotely across different locations. This will also involve overseeing team performance and managing this where appropriate.
Managing individuals at different levels, including managers, and providing coaching and training to teams.
Taking a lead on finding solutions to problems, within a fast-paced environment.
