ROLE OVERVIEW
Our busy London offices will be welcoming a group of new interns to be part of the world's leading global sports and entertainment agency. This is an incredible opportunity to take part in our paid full-time 12-week programme which will run between Monday 13th January – Thursday 3rd April 2025. This practical programme will help interns to develop their career in an industry they are passionate about.
Our Foundation Intern is required to work 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm, for the duration of the programme at one of our London offices and will support a variety of projects within their assigned department. Projects may include but will not be limited to; conducting research, providing general support for the overall team, admin and data entry tasks. We are looking for proactive problem solvers with an enthusiasm for building a career at CAA.
Strong admin, communication and organisational skills are a must, as well as a proven passion for and knowledge of both entertainment/sports culture and the charitable sector.

We have recently received funding to explore expansion into Scotland for the Faith in Affordable Housing project. This will be a 15-month project with potential to expand, subject to funding.
The proposed project is to undertake a scoping exercise across Scotland, to ascertain the need for social and affordable housing, and the key stakeholders providing housing, as well as the potential presented by faith organisation-owned assets to meet housing need. The resulting feasibility study and business plan will then inform the potential next steps for Faith in Affordable Housing Scotland.

AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will also be the focal point between the organisation and policymakers, in the UK and beyond.
The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. Your accountabilities as our Advocacy & Policy Manager will include the following:
Building external relations
- Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
- Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.
- Build and maintain AFH’s relationships with influential people and authorities, including politicians and Governing bodies. Facilitate supporting regular and meaningful engagement with them.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
- Position AFH as influential in public debates on Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other countries where AFH works, making AFH a resource for journalists and other key stakeholders covering related issues.
- Keep abreast of regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
Supporting internal stakeholders
- Guide and advise AFH’s head and field offices on advocacy issues and trends.
- Support our field offices with Advocacy capacity building and enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding.
- Support the head office with enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding, through targeted external stakeholder engagement and improving the technical branding of Action For Humanity in the eyes of potential partner institutions.
- Identify advocacy opportunities by working with the wider Communications and Marketing departments in the writing, editing, commissioning and disseminating of press-releases, op-eds, statements etc., to secure coverage of the organisation’s work across the media spectrum.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create interesting and engaging multimedia content to ensure the organisation’s marketing and brand strategies incorporates our advocacy position.
- Provide analysis to the CEO, Director of Communications and other stakeholders, including inputs and talking points for meetings, as required.
- Promote a principled approach to advocacy, policy and external relations among relevant internal stakeholders, and ensure that external messaging is evidence-based and driven by field realities.
General
- Closely monitor the evolving humanitarian and political context in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, particularly where AFH currently operates, and disseminate written and verbal updates and analysis in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce high quality public and private policy and advocacy materials including letters, briefing notes, position papers, and advocacy reports.
- Build up AFH’s advocacy work in relation to domestic programmes.
- Promote the advocacy positions of the Syria Relief brand as well as the Action For Humanity brand.
What we are looking for in our Advocacy & Policy Manager:
Education
- Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field i.e., International Development, International Relations, Public Relations, Economics, Politics.
- Evidence of sector-specific continuous professional development.
Experience
- Strong experience and track record in an advocacy or similar role.
- Experience in building strong relations and networking with key staff within various UN agencies, especially I/NGO, Forums, UN, OCHA meetings and with local ones.
- Collaborating in multi-national organisational problem solving, operations in complex organisations.
- Active participation with I/NGO Forums desirable.
- Understanding of UK political and media landscape.
Skills & Attributes

As our Senior Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager, you will manage existing and develop new funder and partner relationships across trusts and foundations, and other donors, to ensure we can meet the needs of the increasing number of women we support across London and build on our systems influencing work nationally.

We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Reporting Manager in our Clerk of the Parliament’s Office at the House of Lords. This is a hybrid working opportunity where you will work on-site at Parliament 3 days per week, with 2 days per week working remotely. You’ll be accountable for –
- Acting as operational lead for the Administration’s approach to corporate performance management, including the implementing and reviewing of the House’s performance management framework.
- Building partnerships with Heads of Office, service leads and others across the House to embed, co-ordinate and continuously improve performance metrics and baseline performance.
- Providing a leading voice in the co-production of the quarterly performance report to the Management Board and Finance Committee.
- Embedding performance measuring and reporting approaches that meet the best functional standards, using a range of management data to provide accessible and actionable insights.
- Working with other colleagues across Parliament to help to ensure that other performance monitoring processes allow for comparison.
- Working with Parliamentary Digital Service, and the House of Commons to develop common practices for Corporate Performance Management across Parliament.

What we’re looking for
- Corporate Performance Management knowledge including relevant experience of corporate performance management and corporate governance processes.
- Strong Analytical Skills including the ability to gather and interpret complex information from a range of sources with differing data quality, visualising data to present the data in a meaningful way to both technical & non-technical audiences.
- Communication Skills such as the ability to find accessible, insightful and creative ways to present data in order to support the production of timely, credible and concise reports through a range of delivery modes.
- Building stakeholder relationships, with experience of developing effective working relationships and working collaboratively across a range of stakeholders in a complex environment, including with senior managers.
- Personal effectiveness with excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage your own time and deal effectively with conflicting demands.
- Organisation and forward planning including experience of planning schedules of work and liaising with others to ensure deadlines are set, maintained, and met.
