Duties:
- Developing and delivering Human Rights Act based rights training workshops and support sessions
- Analysing human rights law and development in cases and communicating the practical impact of these through outreach visits to local community sector

- Arrange short talks for a range of audiences

Person Specification:
Essential characteristics:
- Have at least two year’s experience of working in the charity sector, voluntary sector, or the public sector in a role with some similar role and functions
- Experience of developing and delivering outreach work to build the capacity of people to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to bring about social change
- Understanding of working in the charity sector, and in particular what it means to work for positive change whilst not being a campaign group
- Understanding of human rights law and practice and implications for diverse communities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people
- Able to receive visitors and to deal with their queries, signposting to other agencies, where required
- Experienced in dealing with work of a confidential nature, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements
- Experience of report writing, preparing newsletters, project monitoring reports, publicity and promotional material

About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
This is a new dual diagnosis arm of the project based at Lister Hospital working in A&E departments and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with a mental health and/or drugs and alcohol need.
About the Role:
The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Lister Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Lister Hospital staff and HMN, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are; to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support, advice and information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patients homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.
The Bounce Back Worker will work with the HMN Community Outreach Teams and the hospital staff to ensure patients are offered advice, information, and holistic support. The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. The recovery approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity, compassion and humanity.
Key Responsibilities
- To receive referrals from the ward teams at Lister Hospital and other appropriate hospitals across Hertfordshire.
- To manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service.
- To build strong relationships with staff at Lister Hospital and Mental Health Teams across Hertfordshire.
- To work in partnership with other agencies.
- To establish a strong presence on the ward, working at the hospital when required.
- Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
- To assist patients to access appropriate services and community resources within the local community, accompanying patients to attend appointments where this aids ongoing recovery.
- To work with key staff within the hospital to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated.
- To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
- Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer term needs.
- Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

As Team Administrator for the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team, you will be responsible for providing vital administrative support to a dynamic team working with children, young people and parents all over the UK.

Overview of post
- To organise and develop the London Specialist Advice Forum with the Senior Programme Manager.
- To identify emerging issues that affect forum members and liaise with the forum members, the steering group, and external legal and non-legal organisations to discuss potential solutions.
- To identify and report pilot projects that emerge from needs identified through forum members.
- To identify emerging issues that affect specialist legal advice providers and support relationships with the key external strategic and policy organisations to raise these issues.
- To ensure that the work of funded partners is communicated to a broad audience through generating content for newsletters, our web site and online presence.
- To provide support to the Sector Support and Grants team in the running and development of other sector support schemes such as money saving initiatives, funding programmes, and others.

About the Role:
The Information & Advice Generalist Adviser provides rights-based advice to clients, helping them understand and access services, entitlements, and benefits. Working closely with our team of volunteer advisers, you’ll be a valued source of expertise, conducting benefits checks, assisting with claims, and providing guidance on a range of issues that affect older adults. You’ll also take part in outreach activities, collaborating with partner agencies and representing Age UK Bromley & Greenwich in community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, accessible advice on welfare benefits, care provision, housing options, legal issues (such as Lasting Power of Attorney), and more.
- Conduct benefits assessments, support claims processes, and advocate for clients in appeals.
- Perform rights-based casework, including helping clients with complaints and making representations as needed.
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date client records in our case management system.

Southall Community Alliance is a charity working in Southall that is looking to recruit an experienced, full-time Office Manager to deal with administrative and finance matters.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in Southall with its diverse communities and can act as the first point of contact for SCA. Their duties include managing the office budget, dealing with staff issues and establishing and maintaining policies and procedures. Duties:
- To be the first point of contact for visitors and service users
- Helping establish and maintain office procedures
- To assist the Director with budgetary control arrangements, maintain accounts, salaries and efficient running of the charity
- To attend and take minutes of SCA Board meetings, Community Forum and other meetings, where required
- To type confidential reports and correspondence, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other statutory requirements and maintain files and the filing systems
