Screen Share is a dynamic, diverse and fast-growing charity with a clear goal: to ensure every refugee in the UK has access to a laptop and the skills to use it to achieve their goal. We distribute dozens of devices per month and run a variety of training programmes to support those who who require digital access and skills to better their situation in the UK
Role Overview - Is this for you?
This new role will be responsible for communicating the life-changing impact that Screen Share has on thousands of refugees every year.
The postholder will create content, grow our audiences and deepen our relationships for the clear purpose of growing the organisation and facilitating our impact on refugees in need.
You will work directly with a range of stakeholders: refugees who choose to tell the story of their personal development in the UK; donors who choose to give their money to Screen Share to facilitate our impact; partner organisations who choose to collaborate with us to deliver our impact; and staff and volunteers who choose to work in this area to make a difference. You will be calm and confident in embodying Screen Share’s new but powerful voice.
You will be energetic, creative and thoughtful in your communication, as well as flexible in the way you show up for a small but fast-growing charity. We particularly welcome applicants from those with lived experience of forced migration.

Spear Programme

The Role
The Society is looking to appoint a new Coordinator to support the access and progression of historically under-represented students in geography. This will involve building on existing Society initiatives and actively engaging with initiatives and networks across the sector. The postholder will work with senior colleagues to shape the Society’s future investments and work in this realm. The Coordinator will work across the ‘pipeline’ of geographers from schools, through post-16 pathways, universities, and into professional practice. Role Profile

Role summary
This role is to effectively engage with a diverse range of VCSE organisations and stakeholders in Cornwall through meetings, workshops, consultations, surveys, events, conferences etc. To strengthen our alliance-based model of engagement by expanding existing alliances and creating new ones.To bring the voice of the sector into the new integrated care area forums and community area partnerships. To bring together the VCSE sector around pertinent issues, so they can meet the needs of their beneficiaries and achieve their organisational outcomes.
Key Duties
- Manage and develop a range of thematic and place-based alliances, bringing together VCSE organisations to collaborate on shared community themes and challenges.
- Actively engage with integrated care areas, community area partnerships, and other strategic forums to amplify the voice of the VCSE sector. Role summary
This role is to effectively engage with a diverse range of VCSE organisations and stakeholders in Cornwall through meetings, workshops, consultations, surveys, events, conferences etc. To strengthen our alliance-based model of engagement by expanding existing alliances and creating new ones. To bring the voice of the sector into the new integrated care area forums and community area partnerships. To bring together the VCSE sector around pertinent issues, so they can meet the needs of their beneficiaries and achieve their organisational outcomes.
Key Duties
- Manage and develop a range of thematic and place-based alliances, bringing together VCSE organisations to collaborate on shared community themes and challenges.
- Actively engage with integrated care areas, community area partnerships, and other strategic forums to amplify the voice of the VCSE sector. Ensure this engagement translates into actionable outcomes by integrating their insights into the planning, design, and execution of community-based services. For example, facilitate focus groups or workshops that allow grassroots VCSE feedback to be directly included in policy discussions, ensuring their needs and perspectives are supported.

Person Specification

About the Role
As the Durham Service Manager you will oversee the successful operation of supported accommodation providing an assessment, support and move on service to young people at risk of homelessness – creating a safe and engaging environment that individuals feel proud to call home.
You will work across the Bishop Auckland Supported Accommodation service and the Dispersed Accommodation service based in Tow Law managing a team of Progression Coaches, Night Progression Coaches and Outreach Workers. You will support and guide the team in providing targeted support for clients and take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all young people, volunteers, staff and the building in the service. Additionally, you will ensure the service meets all the relevant regulatory and quality standards, including compliance with Ofsted requirements to maintain the highest level of care and support.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
