We are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Youth Worker (Youth Voice), supporting our mission to enable young people who are homeless, facing homelessness or unsafe to achieve independence and positive futures.
The successful candidate will work within the Youth Work Team to deliver our frontline drop-in service and support our weekly and monthly activities to all young people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll specialise in ensuring a diverse range of young people’s voices are heard, facilitating inclusive activities which increase youth participation across all our services and leading on the delivery of our youth forums. We have an ambitious plan to improve and accelerate our youth voice strategy and this role will be at the heart of this delivery.
You should be experienced in designing, planning and facilitating a range of activities and group work with and for young people and be able to work dynamically in a fast-paced day centre environment. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about youth engagement and skilled in bringing out the ideas, voices and opinions of young people to shape service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in running participatory youth projects, co-production, youth engagement sessions and/or community engagement.
The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working collaboratively across our organisation. This role also includes working closely with our Campaigns, Impact and Policy team to ensure young people’s voices are at the heart of our external campaigning work.
Finally, you will also be committed to the safeguarding of young people and delivering an inclusive and trauma-informed service.
This role will be based at our day centre in Camden, with some travel to other New Horizon projects within London.

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator. The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. They will also be required to promote the Centre to potential funders, user groups and the public, especially via the Centre’s website and social media channels. Candidates will need to demonstrate that they can think creatively, use initiative and work productively with colleagues. They need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to enthuse others.
This exciting opportunity will ideally suit someone at the early stages of their career in charity fundraising.
The post will be based on a 35 hour week, but will involve flexible working including occasional evenings and weekends.
Due to the nature of the work the post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The Centre boasts residential accommodation and training facilities, adventure activities, and a working farm and gardens with dedicated environmental areas. Main Purpose of the Job
The Digital Enabler will work with the District Leadership Team and the Communications Officer to build the digital communications capacity of the District at every level, to facilitate effective participation by all members in the life of the church in the North West District, and to make use of new opportunities for mission and community-building in the digital sphere.
Key Responsibilities
1.Ensure that the District leadership is able to fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring there are reliable digital platforms for online, live-streamed and recorded meetings and events, for electronic dissemination of information (via web, social media and mailings), and audio and video recording and sharing..
2.Enable all members of churches in the District to have the opportunity for participation in District forums and events, and to receive information from their District and Circuits.
3.Co-operate with District and Circuit leaders, ministers and pioneers in the development of new forms of mission and church communities using a range of digital resources.
Key Tasks
Training and Support
1.Create a digital strategy for the District, identifying the essential resources and support needed to enable full participation at every level, and the opportunities for missional work in the online world.
2.Support the administration and governance of the District by facilitating online synods, committees and consultations.
3.Build a network of “digital champions” within Circuits and provide advice and support for local training and capacity building.
4.Devise and deliver online training courses for Circuits and churches.
5.Develop a “Digital Community of Practice” across the District, and linking where appropriate across the Connexion, which will envisage and create new ways of being and growing church in the digital age.
6.Work with safeguarding officers to raise awareness of digital safeguarding issues, and create usable information and guidelines for Circuits and churches.
Facilities and Resources
1.Work with the Communications Officer in building and maintaining the District’s online presence, including the website and social media.
2.Develop a range of digital tools and resources for the use of the District and its Circuits, and assist in their implementation. (These could include servicing local website and social media initiatives, plan-making and emailing applications.)
3.Collect and disseminate information on digital specialists in the District who can serve Circuits and churches. (This could include graphic designers, web and database programmers, audio-visual and streaming experts and others.)
Events and Online Communities
1.Provide technical support for online and live-streamed District events, including advertising, registration and ticketing, online and streaming facilities.
2.Work with the Mission Area Leads, Circuits and pioneers in implementing digital services, online communities and missional initiatives.
Personal Training and Growth
1.Maintain an awareness of changes in digital applications and resources, and consider how they can be used in the District.
2.Identify opportunities to expand knowledge and understanding, including by appropriate courses.
3.Reflect theologically on issues around faith in the digital world, and the opportunities for sharing the gospel by these means.

A full time role offering a salary of £25,760-£29,120 per annum**
We are looking for our Youth President for 2025-2026 to work with the Connexional Team to:
- Enable, encourage and enthuse children and young people to get involved in every aspect of Church life
- Represent and host 3Generate, the Children and Youth Assembly of the Methodist Church
- Listen to the voices of children and young people from across the Methodist Church in Britain and to be advocate for them in the life of the Church at every level – this may involve a lot of independent travel, and evening and weekend travel
- Influence the decision-making of the Church by sharing the opinions and priorities of children and young people
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to travel and work around Britain and overseas, supporting children and young people from all backgrounds. The work is challenging and varied and you will have experience of public speaking, debating, team and independent working, report writing, listening and facilitation, worship leading and more.
Interviews will take place in central London on Friday 13 September 2024. At this time there will be an opportunity to explore and discuss the role more fully.
Candidates must be available to attend 3Generate at the NEC in Birmingham as part of the election process from 4-6 October 2024. It is at this time that the children and young people of the Methodist Church will vote in elections for the next Youth President.
