What will you do:
As Services Co-Ordinator, you will take the lead on two of Headway UK’s vital services. You will be responsible for processing applications to our Emergency Fund, which provides travel and hotel grants to family members, to support them to be at the bedside of loved ones, when their family member is in hospital, after acquiring a brain injury. Your role will include making recommendations for funding, signposting applicants onto other organisations, keeping detailed records and producing basic financial reports to highlight the Emergency Funds’ position throughout the year.
You will also lead the annual renewal of the Headway UK’s Solicitor’s Directory, ensuring it remains a vital resource for those seeking specialist solicitors with experience in handling brain injury cases.
You will work alongside colleagues within the wider Services Department to provide exceptional co-ordination and administrative support, to some of our direct services, including training and our network of local independent Headway charities and volunteer led branches.
On occasion you will also be required to work with the Project Lead for Brain Injury Identity Cards and assist with processing Brain Injury Identity Card applications.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in two schools in the West Midlands area: Ormiston Forge Academy in Cradley Heath and Wood Green Academy in Wednesbury. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website. Access to own transport or reliable transport would be ideal.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme

We are recruiting Lead Coaches across our delivery locations in England and Wales to join our squad in August for the new academic year. This is a frontline role where you will spend the majority of your time working with young people, building relationships with them and delivering our full programme of activities which includes rugby based activity sessions, employability workshops, career taster days and more.
You will be working with some of the hardest to reach young people who are most at risk of exclusion, in small groups of 8-10. We use rugby as a hook and mentorship as an anchor, using our four cornerstones (developing life skills, raising aspirations, improving physical wellbeing, focus on mental wellbeing) to develop young people throughout their time with us. We enable young people to be in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.
The delivery team always work in pairs, running our interventions across a variety of settings (including mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provisions, SEN schools, Youth Offenders Institutes, community centres and rugby clubs) working in the school timetable and between 3-7pm. While delivering our interventions is a big part of the job, you will also be responsible for supporting the team to ensure the successful collection of data, managing school relationships and delivering on partnership projects.
You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. We are looking for someone with a youth work, teaching, mentoring or sports coaching background to help strengthen our team as we work towards our forward strategy.

Centre Administrator

We are looking for a Centre Administrator to support both the administration and running of all activities at the Centre and the maintenance of facilities for all users of the building.
Reporting to our Centre Manager, our Centre Administrator will:
- Support the administration of courses, conferences and other events at the Centre.

The role
Reporting to the Director of Sector Development and working closely with the CILIP Learn Development Manager the Training and Partnerships Officer will support in the delivery of CILIPs training offer.
The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in delivering or overseeing training delivery, online events and webinars, managing successful relationships with stakeholders and have strong IT skills. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- To work with the Director of Sector Development and the CILIP Learn Development Manager to deliver a market-leading training offer for CILIP within CILIP Learn. To deliver and evaluate a portfolio of training events, building effective relationships with training providers.
- To support successful contract and stakeholder management related to the training partnerships and training contracts.
- To develop and maintain systems and processes which ensure that the development of the CILIP Learn offer is based on data, evidence and market intelligence.
It is not essential for the candidate to possess prior knowledge of the sector but they will have the right level of knowledge and enthusiasm to learn rapidly and bring their transferable skills to the role.

In the absence of the Assistant Food Service Manager, the Front of House Team Leader will step in to oversee operations and maintain service quality.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Finance Assistant will support the Finance Team, providing financial and administrative services for our business. The Finance team sits within our Central Services division.
