Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Supporter Relations Income Officer' to join its dynamic Supporter Care Team. The purpose of the role is to oversee the day-to-day supporter relations Income operations, contributing towards developing and managing related processes for staff, supporters and the public in order to ensure all fundraising administration opportunities and supporter contribution to IR are maximised.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring income is processed accurately, ensuring that supporters receive the highest standards of customer service. The post holder will also ensure that information held on supporters is accurate, appropriate and up to date to support IR objectives.

The successful candidate must have or be:

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent working knowledge and experience of The Raiser’s Edge database.
• Demonstrable experience of performing data extractions, reporting and data analysis
• A good level of competence in MS Excel, with specific reference to data manipulation.
• Analytical and pro-active with strong problem-solving skills.

About the Administrator

At the National Garden Scheme a small central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, and members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.

The administrator is the first point of contact for many of these, being responsible for answering the main telephone line and managing the general email inbox. They are also responsible for managing the office environment on behalf of their colleagues.

In normal years, they also carry out the administration of certain annual events and projects including our annual lecture and presence at the Chelsea Flower Show. 

The right candidate ideally will have some experience as an administrator or receptionist and will be comfortable in a busy, hands-on and varied role. The key requirements are efficiency and excellent communication skills, this is a role for a meticulous, problem-solving people person. They will also be self-motivated, with the ability to work closely with colleagues in a small head office team, as well as with volunteers in the wider National Garden Scheme network. 

Key responsibilities

Receptionist and office administrator

• Manage the main telephone line, ensuring a polite and efficient first point of contact.
• Manage the central email account, responding directly or passing requests to colleagues.

• Manage incoming/outgoing mail, courier collections/deliveries and costs.

Administration of shows and other annual events

• Managing the booking of venues and ensuring that staff and volunteers are briefed on their role at the show/event. 

Administer National Garden Scheme merchandise

• The National Garden Scheme has a small range of branded merchandise such as aprons and tea towels whose primary purpose is promotion. Merchandise is managed by the Head of Marketing.
• The administrator is responsible for monitoring stock levels and placing orders when appropriate.
• They are also responsible for liaising with the fulfilment house over any queries to do with orders and dispatch.

Other duties include:

• Work flexibly as part of a small office team, providing appropriate support for different colleagues and undertaking tasks as necessary.
• Manage the Chief Executive’s telephone line when he is out of the office.
• Prepare with the Chief Executive the agenda for monthly team meetings and record the minutes.

Purpose of the job

The South West and South Central team provides a crucial link between Diabetes UK and the community. Main Responsibilities

As Regional Support Officer you will provide full administrative services to a team that is geographically dispersed across the region with a regional office based in Taunton. You will manage office logistics, financial process and ensure compliance with organisational policies regarding GDPR, health and safety, including undertaking risk assessments. You will support the set up and delivery of both face to face and online events. Crucially as first point of contact for the team you will provide excellent customer service to members of the public.

Ideal Candidate

As Regional Support Officer you will be self-motivated with the ability to prioritise a varied workload. You will have proven experience of office admin systems, excellent IT skills, including use of CRM/data management systems and online platforms. You will be someone who can work effectively with colleagues, understanding their administrative needs and responding positively. You will have experience of organising online and face to face events. About the role

Working in Groundwork’s Land and Communities Team, and in close partnership with Northumberland County Council and Suez Recycling and Recovery, this post will engage with households and partners across Northumberland to reduce contamination in the recycling waste stream and change recycling behaviours. You will work with the County Council’s Refuse Collection Teams and Waste Managers to deliver a programme of targeted doorstep engagement, monitoring and community engagement activity aimed at reducing contamination and increasing recycling. As a Recycling Engagement Officer you will exercise your delegated powers to address residential waste offences.

You will be a strong and persuasive communicator, able to understand legislation and council policies and to explain these in simple terms to residents through correspondence and conversation. You will be unafraid of getting your hands dirty and comfortable with regularly working outdoors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable and servant-hearted person to be our new residential Housekeeper and Duty Officer. The successful applicant will carry out practical and administrative tasks relating to our Housekeeping and Conferences functions and provide out of hours Duty officer support (on a rota basis) for the resident student community and conference guests.
