Main Purpose:

To work as part of the Leadership Team to develop and grow commercial enterprises, develop corporate giving schemes, secure donations to establish a sustainable unrestricted income stream into the Charity and showcase the work of the Charity on social media platforms.

Income Generation:

- To establish business enterprises within the charity to generate paid for service income, managing these operations and maximising profit.
- To establish commercial giving income streams and sponsorship with small, medium, and large companies.
- To establish a local supporter’s scheme, to generate income and promote the services of the Charity.
- To increase the customer base for the 131 Club, Studio 131, Happy Feet, Lunch Clubs, and any new enterprises the Charity sets up.

General Management:

- Oversee the maintenance of the Charity’s social media marketing, external media advertising and website maintenance.
- To undertake media campaigns representing the Charity, our work and the older people we support. Manage any Service Level Agreements with external marketing consultants.
- To work in line with the Charity’s values and to provide guidance on these values to staff.
- To work with the Leadership Team to develop the Charity’s internal strategy, fulfil its goals and realise its ambitions.
- To deputise in the absence of the CEO

As Funding Manager (Healthcare), you will work closely with applicants within key healthcare settings in developing applications and managing a varied portfolio of prior funding, as well as supporting the delivery of the Charity’s healthcare funding strategy.

The Funding Manager (Healthcare) role will be key in ensuring the charity fund impactful healthcare projects. This includes making the most of funding resources by facilitating the assessment and funding of new grants, managing a proportion of current healthcare funding portfolio, and contributing to monitoring progress of a range of healthcare projects.

You will be an integral part of the busy and ambitious Funding & Impact team, building relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers and working closely with a number of other Charity teams to deliver impact.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting the development of successful projects, ideally within an NHS/healthcare setting or Higher Educational Institute and will demonstrate knowledge and show an understanding of the healthcare and life sciences sector. You will have experience of grants administration/management/operations in a healthcare, academic, funding agency or charity setting and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills alongside the ability to build strong relationships with health professionals and healthcare delivery staff.

Mainstream Meaningful Youth Participation

• Work with the Youth Voice Volunteer Team to support capacity building in Member Organisations*, this may include:

• Delivering workshops about meaningful youth participation.

• Developing resources to support meaningful youth participation projects at national to local level.

• Collaborate with different WAGGGS teams to embed meaningful youth participation into event planning and delivery, for example:

• Ensuring youth participation is happening throughout the planning and delivery process.

• If an event is aimed at young people, supporting the programme to be relevant, exciting, accessible and learner-led for the participants.

• Champion intergenerational leadership** to make sure everyone knows they have a part to play in a Movement led by girls and young women.

• Apply intersectionality and be aware of the global, multilingual context of WAGGGS in all areas of work.

Support Young People in Governance

• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of existing recommendations produced by youth-led research into young women in governance.

• Assess what is needed to continue to grow WAGGGS’s meaningful youth participation practice in the governance space.

• Collaborate with the WAGGGS Governance Team to put into action recommendations.

Ensure Meaningful Participation of Girls and Young Women 

• Support the participation of girls and young women in WAGGGS activities across the organisation through, for example,

• Helping to implement safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Checking written content to ensure that it is clear and accessible.

• Advising on how to make sure young people feel meaningfully included.

• Identifying practical ways so that every and any girl can take part in WAGGGS opportunities, taking into account our global diversity and range of languages, time zones and contexts.

About the role

We are looking for someone with experience in facilities and contract management, and the drive and desire to find solutions and complete projects to a high standard. You’ll need to be highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to multi task. You must be a compelling advocate for the work of the Trust.

This role manages the Trust’s office facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and support a positive working environment for staff and volunteers. The post holder will manage contracts, striving to secure competitive prices, support with IT alongside the Trust's IT service provider, and identify and coordinate improvements to the Trust buildings. This role also manages the Business Support Officer.

The Facilities Manager role is for a 10 month fixed-term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension. We would consider between 30-37.5 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days. Other options may be considered for the right candidate.

ASH Co-op is a thriving tenant-managed housing co-op in Cambridge. We have two part-time staff and are looking for a focused, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic person to take the role on to cover for maternity leave to start from late September. 

This is a varied front-line role involving collecting rent and taking enquiries, including maintenance requests and applications for membership. It also involves monitoring budgets, some basic accounting and general office administration. You must be IT literate with a good working knowledge of excel and will ideally have previous experience of housing work, or a similar office environment.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To be responsible, with our other housing co-ordinator/s, for the day-to-day running of ASH Co-op in co-operation with the membership; deal with outside bodies on behalf of the co-op; keep computer records; maintain and develop office and financial systems; and provide administrative support for working groups.

REPORTING TO 
The Employment Co-ordinators, who are elected by the members on to ASH Co-op’s committee.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All tasks are to be carried out with the relevant Co-ordinators and Working Groups where appropriate.  As a volunteer led organisation, the Housing Co-ordinators will be expected to liaise with working group co-ordinators from time to time to agree how tasks will split between them.  A key responsibility of the Housing Co-ordinators is to provide continuity where volunteers are unable to do so.

The successful applicant will be able to work Tuesdays and spread remaining hours across other weekdays between 8am-7pm when needed. The core office opening hours are 9.30am- 5pm. This role is being offered on a 13 month fixed contract.

Our partner is a nonprofit organization providing accessible & effective mental health interventions for youths. They are seeking a part-time CFO to add expertise and oversight of their finance function to ensure financial sustainability. This role is a really interesting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to shape the finance function of a young, but growing organisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, and lead the development of financial projections and scenario planning to inform decision making.
• Lead the finance function, overseeing the day-to-day operations (cash, accounts payable, accounts receivables and payroll) and ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements for Kenya and the USA
• Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
• Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and other financial reports
• Develop and manage the organization's risk management
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of young professionals 

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of relevant experience, and willing to be hands on.
• Strong technical accounting experience covering financial accounting, management accounting, budget creation and monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting, preferably within a not for profit.
• Experience of working in a start-up or of establishing a finance function is strongly desirable.
• Experience of leading a finance function, including providing financial analysis & insight  and strategic advice to aid decision making.
• Experience of grants management, compliance and reporting
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance staff.
• Strong strategic and problem solving skills. 

This is a remote role, although they would be open to someone working from their office.

About the Customer Experience Manager Role: 

As Customer Experience Manager, you will be the Centre champion of our ‘Think FRESH!’ customer journey framework (Fun Relevant Effective Simple Helpful) and oversee and improve all aspects of our onsite customer journey. You will drive retention & support income generation through the delivery of fun, innovative events, and the implementation of service standards that exceed customer expectations.

What we are looking for in our Customer Experience Manager:

• Prior experience operating as a manager in a customer experience focussed environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences, both internal and external
• Comfortable managing your own workload, time, and logistics.

• Experience and knowledge of residential hospitality, group travel, food & beverage operations or a related hospitality industry. Excellent customer service skills and awareness of customer expectations to ensure the customer is at the centre of decision-making.

Key responsibilities as our Customer Experience Manager:

• In partnership with the General Manager and the wider Scout Adventures leadership team, lead the way to support the customer experience journey at Gilwell Park, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable experience and is engaged in the rich story of Gilwell.
• Line manage and lead key members of our booking, administration and events team, ensuring they have the tools and support that they need to complete their job effectively.
• Review and implement customer service standards to ensure consistent standards of service delivery are met for improved customer relations.

An organisation rich in history, the charity has been at the forefront of supporting older people’s lives for more than 300 years. They have more than 250 older peoples in alms house accommodation in Blackheath and Beckenham and have a small 28-bed care home on their Blackheath site. Morden College are committed to providing services that support their residents to live independent and healthy lives.

The organisation is embarking on a finance process review, in order to improve their ways of working. With plans in place to upgrade their finance and CRM systems the role would suit a change-focussed individual.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the role is a key member of the team with responsibility of three staff, and the involvement in the strategic vision of the finance team. With their main base in Blackheath, the role is hybrid and strives to offer as much flexibility as possible, including a wide-ranging benefits package.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Ensure the completion of all month end processes and the timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to provide a responsive and compliant finance management operation.
• Support the improvement of processes and systems, ensuring robust policies are in place so the organisation can be fully digitised.
• Lead and manage a team of four, quality assuring their work, and guiding their careers and ensuring their continued development and nurturing great team culture.
• Support the Finance Director with the production of the annual financial statements, project managing the team to facilitate a smooth audit delivery across the main organisation as well as subsidiary accounts.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified accountant, likely with experience from within the not-for-profit sector.
• Have experience driving change and improving processes and broader cultural change in a finance team.
• Be able to flex up and down from a hands-on perspective to also offer strategic insight to the Finance Director.
• Have significant experience working in a finance function with the knowledge of ‘what good looks like’.
