Position: Member Relations Co-ordinator
Location: Holyoake House, Manchester
Salary: £34,577 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent/Hybird

About the role:
As Member Relations Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in growing and strengthening our diverse co-operative network. You will contribute to the delivery of our membership strategy, manage relationships with current and prospective members, and support the development of membership services and products. You will be the first point of contact for member enquiries, ensuring a responsive and high-quality experience, while also supporting initiatives to improve member engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support the implementation of the membership and engagement strategy, contributing to KPIs and team targets as required.
• Develop a deep understanding of our members, managing recruitment, retention, and account management to build strong, sustainable relationships.
• Maintain expert knowledge of our subscription model, products, and services, ensuring member needs are met and income targets achieved.
• Collaborate across teams to align organisational activities with membership goals and develop income-generating services that meet member needs.
• Stay informed on sector trends and developments to enhance our member offer, services, and ways of working.
• Act as a key contact for member insights, providing accurate, timely data to support bids and communications.
• Maintain member records and perform analysis and reporting via our CRM (Salesforce) to support performance tracking and process improvements.
• Manage complex member queries and act as an escalation point for the Member Relations team.
• Lead on account management of federal members, dual memberships, and selected partner members, developing strong relationships and commercial understanding.
• Support the renewal process, membership campaigns, and communications planning, helping to increase member retention and acquisition.
• Contribute to high-quality membership processes and ensure governance structures reflect our co-operative identity.
• Actively support the Member Services Lead with wider membership functions and continuous process improvement.

Please be advised that this role is part-time working 15 hours per week and fixed-term with an expected to end date of 31st March 2026. The annual salary is £47,000 pro rata.

Job Description
You'll be an experienced qualified High Intensity Therapist with BABCP accreditation who likes working as part of a supportive team to help clients who struggle with common mental health problems such as anxiety and/or depression.
You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of Mind and Body Practitioners and CBT Therapists. Supervision will be provided on both an individual and group basis. You will be expected to support the clinical governance of the Mind and Body service.
Interviews are due to take place around 19th May 2025.
Essential Skills
- Have a Post Graduate Diploma in an NHS Talking Therapies Course or a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy – plus further post-graduate qualification training in CBT along with significant experience working as a practitioner
- Have accreditation with BABCP
- Have demonstrable experience working in mental health and young person services
- Have demonstrable experience with routine outcome monitoring
- Use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
- Know child protection issues and other relevant legislation
- Be able to work within a team and foster good working relationships
- Have advanced communication skills

The Coordinator ensures the warehouse is organised and is following applicable laws and regulations. This includes working with Companions and volunteers, overseeing receiving, sorting and pricing of donations, always maximising income. This is a hands-on role where your ability to lead by example will motivate our team of Companions and volunteers to provide exemplary customer service and to generate a financial surplus to support the charity.

Duties & responsibilities
People
- To work alongside and train Companions to increase their skill base and confidence
- To organise the deployment of tasks to individuals and team members
- To train, supervise, motivate, and inspire volunteers and companions.
- To help devise and deliver induction on standards of work to new team members so that retail activities are delivered to the agreed brand, including customer service, merchandising, pricing, stock control, and culture
- To ensure that all activities under supervision are engaging, enabling, empowering and holding to account the team members
Warehouse Operation
- To ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations by maximising quality donations and minimising waste
- To ensure day-to-day smooth and productive processes are being implemented to excellent standards for quality, culture, and legislative compliance
- To be proactive in the generation of donated stock, managing stock collection efficiently and effectively to the agreed standards and timescales under Emmaus guidelines
- To ensure premises, Health & Safety, security, and maintenance checks and actions are complete within the identified time, and to identify new checks or actions to schedule as to comply with Health and Safety requirements
- To ensure that cover for the safe operation of the Undercroft is always sufficient
- To cover van driving shifts as needed.
Stock Management
- To work closely with all Retail Managers to ensure each retail enterprise is receiving adequate stock to generate their required weekly sales targets
- To be responsible for ensuring that only sellable donations and those that conform to all relevant UK government and trading standards legislation are accepted for resale in the shop
- To disseminate any changes from Trading Standards as and when to relevant parties to ensure compliance
- To ensure all donated items are sorted and priced and merchandised to receive the optimum for the charity and the correct procedures are applied throughout the sorting process to allow for coding and pricing to be applied to items
Safety, Health, and Environment
- To oversee all Health & Safety requirements within the warehouse, taking corrective action as and when required, and informing/liaising with managers and team as necessary
- To assist in compiling risk assessments with team members
- Ensure safe working systems are adhered to in conjunction with the Emmaus policies and procedures, and are compliant with all relevant legal requirements
- To ensure that Health & Safety is adhered to in terms of equipment use and that manual handling guidelines are followed
- Ensure work areas follow correct processing procedures, ensuring that the work area is always kept clean and tidy
- Assist in delivering Health & Safety training to new Companions and volunteers
- Recycling/Re-use and Waste Management
- To recommend creative ways to upcycle, reuse and repurpose stock to maximise profit and reduce wastage
- To supervise the disposal of unsaleable items to minimise waste as appropriate in line with Sussex Emmaus’s Environmental Policy and procurement Policy.
