Job description

Associate Head of Strategy Delivery

Are you a great strategist? Can you engage and support colleagues to plan towards the charity’s strategic ambitions for children? Are you adept at developing outcome-based plans and monitoring strategy delivery? Are you driven to join a team on a mission to prevent child abuse and keep children safe?

We're looking for someone with demonstrable experience of organisational business planning and strategic plan development.  The charity launched an ambitious ten-year strategy in 2021 and this role is pivotal in bringing that strategy to fruition.

Position: Associate Head of Strategy Delivery

Salary: £48,748 - £56,935, plus home working allowance of £500 or inner-London weighting of £3,366.

Location: United Kingdom - Remote or Flexible location

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Working Hours Per Week: Full time (35 hours)

Closing Date: 1 September 2024

The Role:

As Associate Head of Strategy Delivery, you will lead the Strategy Delivery Team, working with colleagues across the organisation to develop three-year business plans, targets and performance metrics. You will lead on the creation of highly informative performance and impact reporting, working with others to map out the path to 2031.

About you:

You will be a thoughtful collaborator, at the forefront of strategic thinking with experience of leading planning, monitoring, and reporting in a large and complex organisation. You will be supported by a skilled, fun and friendly team within the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate.

We are looking for someone with experience of:

  • Working as a manager or lead within a planning and performance function in a complex organisation

  • Playing a leading role in the end-to-end development and delivery of organisational strategy

  • Implementing organisation-wide changes to planning and/or performance practice

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is the charity’s belief. It is what drives them. It motivates their Strategy and Knowledge Directorate to maintain their position as an influential, informed and forceful voice at every level. Join the team as Programme Officer and be part of progress that means more.

In Return

We know that the main reward is making a difference to children’s lives, but you will also be rewarded with a variety of rewards and benefits including: generous annual leave, employee benefits and assistance programme, pension and life assurance schemes.

Join this amazing organisation and you’ll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.

Other roles you may have experience of could include: Head of Programmes, Head of Strategy, Strategy Manager, Senior Strategy Manager, Head of Programme Delivery, Director of Programmes, etc.
