Are you a part-qualified Accountant or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification? We're looking for someone with a firm understanding of accountancy processes and procedures to join the team as Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month FTC basis.
The Assistant Management Accountant will support and work closely alongside the Management Accountant during the month end process, forecast, budget cycles and other key points during the year. You'll contribute to team-wide projects and systems improvements and help ensure the Finance team are providing accurate and timely reports for the organisation.
It's an exciting time to join Ambition Institute, as we have grown rapidly in recent years, which in turn has increased the volume and complexity of work in the Finance Team. This includes the creation of a new subsidiary which goes live in September 2024.
Please note - this is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to attend the London office 1 day a week.
We would like you to:
- Support the Head of Finance Business Partnering by assisting with the production and ongoing monthly management accounts using Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics) and Jet Reporting and potentially Power BI
- Meet with stakeholders to review reports and resolve anomalies and identify adjustments
- Assist budget holders and support them in the production of the budget and reforecasts
- Undertake Finance related project work from time to time. For example; process improvements
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to our London office and will report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a week, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you must be a part qualified accountant or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification. You'll have budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience with an ability to analyse data sets and produce insightful information. You'll also possess strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.

About the Role
The Retail & E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for creating a seamless digital shopping experience and online customer journey that creates loyalty through best- in-class customer service and by providing a range of gifts that meet the needs of current and future members and supporters. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

What would we like…?
We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and a keen eye for detail to join our Learning Design team as Graphic Designer for a 12-month FTC, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team.
You'll be responsible for for creating visuals and infographics for use across a range of different formats, including both digital and print. You'll use your understanding of graphic design principles and your technical design skills to help participants on our programmes both navigate our materials and make sense of complex information.
We would like you to:
- Create graphics for use in our learning materials, both print and digital
- Refine and, in some instances, establish visual style guides for each resource to ensure that all materials are aligned with our Ambition Institute’s brand style, accessible to all and replicable at scale.
- Use your knowledge of core graphic design principles to inform your work and support colleagues in learning design to use graphics effectively (relating to principles such as: typography, layout. colour and illustration)
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Learning Design team and across the organisation to translate ideas, information and concepts into strong visuals.
- Writing briefs for external graphic designers, which accurately describe the work, provide clear style guidance and specifications and set clear timelines for completion of the work.
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to Associate Director, Production. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team day (which rotate across our regional offices) and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you'll have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Graphic Design, e.g. degree, diploma or apprenticeship. You'll demonstrate an ability to work in a flexible manner and have experience of working in both digital and media print.
It is essential that you are able to work efficiently in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. You'll also demonstrate an ability to work with content designers to help them turn their knowledge of information or a concept into a visual image.
Whilst an ability to create clear and accurate briefs for external Graphic Designers and knowledge of accessibility standards are desirable, it is not essential that you have prior experience to apply for this role. We will provide training and development where there are gaps.

Due to their ongoing growth plans they are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their organisation. This role is responsible for supporting effective financial management and reporting for projects and budget holders based within the Academy’s Finance Team. You will spend the majority of your time interacting with programme managers and budget holders to support on budgeting, forecasting, analysis of budget variances and provide regular finance reports to them, including monthly management accounts to ensure financial control and effective decision making
Key areas of responsibility:
- Lead on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process including preparing budget templates for completion by budget holders, summaries of submissions for review and scrutiny and reconciliations of departmental budget submissions from draft to final.
- Work with Head of Finance to finalise the Academy budget for presenting to Director of Finance & Resources and the senior management team.
- Ensure that finalised forecasts and budgets are accurately imported into the accounting system and a full audit trail is maintained.
- Assist the Head of Finance and senior management team with the preparation of multi-year forecasts and models for bids and scenario planning.
- Working closely with budget holders, act as finance business partner and critical friend by challenging assumptions and broadening their financial thinking in order to objectively assess risk and ensure consistency across teams with financial inter-dependencies.
- Providing adhoc advice to budget holders and programme managers on financial matters and contract agreements.
- Monitor expenditure on restricted funded projects to ensure compliance with terms of funding arrangements, manage grant claims and income and expenditure recognition, and discuss any over/under spending with budget holders and flag to Head of Finance as appropriate.

The Trust and Corporate Prospect Researcher is a new role and part of the fundraising team for Brain Tumour Research.
The Prospect Researcher will help create a funding pipeline so the charity can maximise income by identifying prospects with an ability to give so the fundraising team can make productive approaches to increase partnership fundraising from both charitable trusts and corporates.
Position: Trusts and Corporate Prospect Researcher
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. We offer a hybrid working model, where team members are expected to be in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
Salary: £34,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy here at Brain Tumour Research as we look to grow our income from Trusts and Corporates. About You
We are looking for a research driven and conscientious individual who can develop a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the team can reach their long-term targets. You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income targets. Your natural curiosity will lead you to identify new opportunities using a variety of online sources in combination with our existing database (Thank Q), and you will be able to articulate your recommendations to fundraisers in a concise and compelling way.

We are proud to be partnering with a renowned Human Rights charity to find a full time, temporary IT Administrator. This is a full time, office based role near Old Street for a period of 2-3 months.
The IT Administrator provides administrative and logistical support to the IT team including laptop imaging, administration around contract management, taking and allocating calls to the helpdesk, carrying out first and second-line response and appropriate tasks allocated by the team managers. Carries out agreed operational procedures of a routine nature. Contributes to maintenance, installation and problem resolution with IT equipment and services. You will be one of the main points of contact for the IT helpdesk, both by phone and email and allocate tasks as appropriate and will provide first-line response to queries with appropriate training. You will escalate any unresolved calls to more senior members of the IT team. You will log all incoming calls (phone, email, face to face) accurately, documenting progress as appropriate and closing calls with correct code to facilitate accurate reporting on activity.
This temporary role is full time and office based near Old Street/Shoreditch and is expected to start in early August for at least 2-3 months.
