About the role:

The British Museum's Advancement department is responsible for securing funds for the Museum from across a menu of different fundraising activities. The Corporate Partnerships team is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, and members in the corporate sector.

A key aspect of the role is to support the Head of Corporate Partnerships with the management of existing relationships with corporate supporters. You will inherit a portfolio of current supporters wherein they are expected to plan, initiate and deliver activities to manage, maintain and grow relationships.

Additionally, the role requires a large focus on business development with opportunity to increase team revenue from new corporate sponsors, partners and members. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will liaise across various departments within the Museum to develop proposals, marketing materials, reports, monthly network news, and a variety of other team resources.

Key areas of responsibility:

Income Generation

• To be responsible for the day to day management and renewal of an agreed upon number of corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis, recognising opportunities to increase revenue to sponsorship level when available.
• To recruit an agreed upon number of new corporate sponsors, partners and members on an annual basis (securing multi-year agreements whenever possible).
• To play an active role in development of new business pitches (with the support of either the Manager Corporate Relations or Head of Corporate Relations).

Account Management

• Maintaining regular communications with corporate supporters in the assigned portfolio and cultivating the relationships for future giving.
• Ensuring the efficient and complete delivery of benefits in consultation with the Events team.
• Identifying and encouraging senior relationships across both organisations.
• Ensuring Raiser's Edge fundraising database is updated and holds accurate information for each relationship in the portfolio.

Administration

• Liaise with Museum stakeholders to supply accurate information for use in sponsorship/funding proposals for current and/or prospective corporate supporters (i.e. become a subject matter expert for the Corporate Relations team in certain agreed upon funding areas of interest).
• Responsible for new business research, identifying and approaching suitable prospects, as well as coordinating response to specific interested prospects.

About you:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• IT proficient as well as experience using databases.
• Keen understanding of fundraising practices and principles alongside project management experience.
• High level of organisation, attention to detail and administrative skills and able to work to tight deadlines across multiple departments.
• Confident, diplomatic, persuasive and professional, able to stay motivated and willing to work outside of normal office hours.

Overall purpose of the role

In your role, you will be supporting the Associate Pastors by providing administrative and practical support for them and occasionally the wider team. You will be helping to manage the Associate Pastors’ diaries, taking minutes and representing the Associate Pastors in some meetings, initiating and managing projects and events to support the associate pastors, and helping with other ad hoc tasks as required. This is a varied and important role, and will attract someone with a flare for administration and a love for supporting people.

 Main Responsibilities of the Role

· Manage all administrative support for the Associate Pastors and take the lead on various projects within the ministries of the church.

· Manage the Associate Pastors’ diaries, schedule meetings, ensure they are appropriately briefed for meetings and highlight any issues which may arrive from schedule conflicts so that they can be managed appropriately

· Monitor and manage the Associate Pastors’ inboxes and support them in bringing to their attention important information and deadlines;

· Process expenses and invoices. Help manage the budgets that the Associate Pastors hold.

· Gather resources needed for the Associate Pastors’ appointments and services.

· Research assistance for talk preparation and project development.

· Ensure that visitors of the clergy are supported in terms of administrative requirements, logistical needs and hospitality arrangements.

· Co-ordinate internal and external communication on behalf of the Associate Pastors, when necessary.

· Other ad hoc administrative tasks based in the Saint Paul’s church offices and church.

· Ensuring the smooth running of the Associate Pastors logistics on Sundays, and providing practical support where necessary.

· Supporting with Safeguarding administration.

Experience

· Understanding and alignment with Saint Paul’s vision/all associated ministries and active engagement in the church life and community.

· Strong active Christian faith with a passion for ministry and a Godly working environment.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (including spelling and grammar).

· Passion for and strong administration skills and IT skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PPT amongst others) with experience of using technology to maximise efficiency and drive forward processes.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritise using excellent time-management skills. 

· Active team player who is flexible, enthusiastic, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Working Requirements

About the role:

This role is based in Portsmouth, operating as a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and two working from home. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
• Supporting victims face to face or over the telephone to assist them in accessing services to keep them & their family safe
• Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment
• Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal & civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system
• Participating in multi-agency meetings by being the voice of the client & follow up actions agreed in meetings keeping the client's safety at the forefront of proceedings

You will need:

• A good understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• An understanding of Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, prioritising work effectively
• Strong crisis management skills & the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals

Reporting into the Senior Finance Officer, this role is jointly responsible for the delivery of a consistent and high-quality purchase ledger function across the Group. The purchase ledger team is integral to ensuring that the Group commitments are accurate and complete each month; and payments are made on a consistent basis in keeping with suppliers’ credit terms and internal policy on expenses.

The key responsibilities of this Purchase Ledger Officer include:

• Managing and actioning suppliers and staff enquiries from generic suppliers’ mailboxes and by phone in a timely manner. Providing updates and responses to enquiries according to Finance team SLAs.
• Ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner, including downloading invoices as appropriate from supplier portal. Ensuring transactions are assigned in line with delegated authority levels, correct cost centres and nominal expenditure codes, supported by appropriate evidence, and any other considerations as necessary. 
• Keeping a well-managed record of all invoices, expenses, and other payments alongside relevant documents, ensure details, and status updates are recorded and continuously updated in a timely manner, with outstanding actions highlighted and communicated.
• Continuously monitoring and having oversight on supplier statements, regular payments, and other outgoing expenses. 
• Following up any unauthorised invoices, using appropriate encouragement to prompt completion.

About the Role

The primary focus of the Grants Officer is to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively and to promote, grow and deliver this and other JPF grant programmes across London and Essex. Although the geographical remit of each Grants officer can change on occasion, it is anticipated that this role will be responsible for the London Boroughs across North West and South West London, plus uniform youth groups who deliver their activities cross-borough.

Evening and weekend work is a requirement to meet the demands of this role, which on occasion can require up to 2-3 evenings in one week, depending on the event schedule. Time off in lieu will be granted for additional hours worked.

Main Areas of Responsibility

1. To develop, manage and promote the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme and other JPF opportunities.

1.1. Identify schools and youth organisations not currently running the scheme and proactively promote the Achievement Award (AA) scheme to them, following up as required.
1.2 Receive, assess and process all grant applications to join the AA scheme, in accordance with JPF policies and procedures.
1.3 Attend, participate and assist with delivery of Achievement Award celebration events (usually evenings), including making a speech to congratulate the young people.

2. Quality Assurance for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

2.1 Support schools and youth organisations on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award (AA) scheme to operate the scheme to the highest possible standard.
2.2 Implement a programme of face-to-face and digital monitoring visits to schools and youth organisations in your area on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, to ensure that JPF funding is well spent and to identify opportunities to improve delivery.
2.3 Provide timely support to organisations so they are able to run the AA scheme effectively.
2.4 Organise and deliver digital and in-person events to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively.

3. To administer the Jack Petchey Foundation grant making process

3.1 Ensure accurate records are kept on the Foundation’s database (Salesforce), including up-to-date contact details and records of communication with groups in receipt of or applying for grants.
3.2 Approve/authorise payment of AA grants and related programmes in accordance with JPF policies.
3.3 Ensure appropriate grant reporting by schools and youth organisations and negotiate return of funds where a grant has not been used in accordance with conditions.
3.4 Proactively manage risk, being alert to potential fraud.
3.5 Ensure that clubs and groups receive all necessary materials to operate the Achievement Award scheme effectively. 3.6 Assess and approve Leader Award Grant, Educational Visit Grant and Environmental Grant applications in accordance with JPF policy.
3.7 Provide regular reports on the work for the Head of Grants Team, Chief Executive Officer and the JPF Board as required.

4. To promote the wider work of the Jack Petchey Foundation to schools and youth groups

4.1 Identify case studies and other stories and material that can be used for JPF communications, supporting communications team colleagues to raise awareness of our opportunities and impact.
4.2 Represent JPF at digital and physical events, local networks, funders’ fairs, and community or young people’s forums to help promote JPF’s small grant programmes and other opportunities.
4.3 Support and promote JPF’s partnership programmes, for example the Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge, Step into Dance, Panathlon and First Give.
4.4 Contribute to the review of any small grant programmes as requested by the Head of Grants Team.
4.5 Assist with digital and face-to-face monitoring and reporting in relation to groups that have received a JPF Project Grant or other JPF funding. 

5 Other Responsibilities
5.1 Actively contribute to Grants and JPF Team meetings.
5.2 Take a lead on specific projects as agreed within the Grants Team.
5.3 Contribute to the assessment of other grant programmes as requested by the Head of Grants Team.
5.4 Provide telephone/email support and advice about JPF funding streams to existing grantees or potential applicants.
5.5 Work at all times within the policies, procedures and values of the Jack Petchey Foundation, in particular safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies.

These are the normal duties requires of the position. However, it is important that all staff are prepared to be flexible as they will be required from time to time to perform other duties.

The post holder will work as part of the wider team from the Jack Petchey Foundation headquarters in Canary Wharf with some home working possible within the framework of the JPF Hybrid Working Policy. You will be required to travel to attend visits, events and meetings, including at weekends and in the evenings. Some travel across London more widely may be required on occasion to support uniform youth groups in your portfolio who deliver their duties cross-borough around your assigned areas.

Our Help to Claim service assists people with claiming Universal Credit (UC), from advising if UC is the right benefit for them up to ensuring they receive their first correct payment. Citizens Advice Camden has been delivering the Help to Claim service since it launched five years ago.​

Help to Claim is delivered by telephone, email and webchat as part of the national service. The service is available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. As a Help to Claim Adviser, you will contribute towards delivery of this service across all channels on a rota basis. We are based in central London and our Help to Claim team will be working a hybrid office-based/ remote model.​

The role is open to qualified advisers who have recent experience in delivering advice on Universal Credit. Whilst we are keen to provide paid to train opportunities where we can, this role is not suitable for a trainee and such applications cannot be considered. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.

We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Partnerships Teams in the Midlands and East Region. 

As the Senior Business Development Coordinator, you will lead on the coordination, and delivery of our business development work, with particular focus on bid writing, client facing product information and performance analytics.

You will provide essential support to our network development teams, design and engineering team, and our behavior change and engagement team, helping them identify and assess funding opportunities and writing funding proposals and competitive tenders, case studies and reports.

Switchboard’s listening service is available to all LGBTQIA+ communities in the UK. It offers a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including topics such as sexuality, gender identity, sexual health, and emotional well-being and more. Handling over 17,000 conversations each year, their services continue to be in high demand, with their network of volunteers overing a vital service to people across the country in times of need, but also proving incredible insights into the issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community the most.

Since 2021 the organisation has been on a journey to establish a staff team to oversee day-to-day operations within the charity. They are now looking to introduce this new role as they grow throughout 2024 to a team of 11.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Switchboard as they look to appoint a Volunteer Community Lead to join the organisation.

This position is offered on a full-time, hybrid basis with 2 days working in the London office a week and the remaining flexibly from home.

The role:

This brand-new role sits within the staff team at Switchboard and reports directly to the Head of Volunteering and Training. The post will work closely with key volunteer-led operational teams. As the charity looks to cover its rota more effectively, they are working towards recruiting and training around 100 new volunteers in 2024, taking the total membership to around 350. This number will continue to grow each year, until they are able to handle ALL of the calls, IMs and emails the service receives.

With this in mind, Switchboard wants to ensure they not only retain new volunteers for a number of years, but that each volunteer books regular shifts, are looked after and feel welcomed and an important part of an active, vibrant and inclusive community.

This role reports into the Head of Volunteering and Training and oversees four main areas: volunteer socials, wellbeing initiatives, celebrations and EDI endeavours. This role is key to ensuring the charity retains, nurtures and engages volunteers within Switchboard, and that they create a community of volunteers which reflects the rich diversity of the wider LGBTQIA+ community.

This vital role will entail, delivering a range of in-person and online engagement events throughout the year, managing the Pride activations for 2025 and onwards, overseeing Switchboard’s programme of volunteer celebrations, managing wellbeing initiatives and ensuring Switchboard continues to celebrate being  a rich, diverse and inclusive organisation.

The person:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of organising and producing social and professional events of all shapes and sizes. They will have strong exposure to EDI initiatives and will have a natural interest, or actual experience in promoting wellbeing in the work-place.

This person will have outstanding people skills as the soft skill aspects of this role will be absolutely critical to its success. It will be important that this person demonstrates a broad understanding of the issues and challenges people from the LGBTQIA+ community face in their everyday lives. Similarly, this person will need to appreciate that these issues and challenges will also be faced by Switchboard’s community of volunteers as a result.

You will have extensive experience of organising social gatherings in a professional or volunteering setting, both large and small, collating and analysing data to measure effectiveness & impact, managing third party supplier & contractor relationships, in addition to having a collaborative, communicative & empathetic approach to mobilising networks and driving forward levels of customer service and Volunteer experience.

This person will be comfortable with public speaking and engaging audiences, will be highly organised and above all, fully committed to the work of Switchboard, becoming a natural advocate for the organisation both internally and externally as a result. This person will need to be able to manage all in-person events, wherever they are based, so some locational flexibility will be required.

A4ID seeks to recruit a dynamic, vibrant and experienced Policy, Research and Learning (PRL) Officer who will champion and be responsible for supporting the development of A4ID’s policy, research and learning portfolio.
