Summary

• To support the Finance Processing team to maintain a robust internal control environment, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of invoices and staff expenses and tightly monitoring accounts payable/receivable and expenses, ensuring compliance across the function.
• To work collaboratively with the rest of the Finance Processing team and other finance stakeholders to develop a high-quality finance service to the NCIs, including best practice external reporting, robust ledger controls and compliance, timely and accurate invoice and expense entry, and effective tasks management.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that internal and external stakeholders' queries are timely attended to and tightly controlled. Ensuring the completion of all relevant reconciliations and adherence to deadlines to maintain the integrity of finance data on a monthly basis.

Community Hub Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Hub Coordinator to continue the transformation of our service offerings and create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community hub. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming environment that empowers marginalised groups, including asylum seekers, refugees, and those facing isolation or homelessness, helping them to thrive within the Newham community. We want to support individuals to move from whats wrong to whats strong, and you will be a key catalyst for this. 

As the Community Hub Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of key aspects of our community hub, ensuring it remains a safe space where individuals can connect, share experiences, and build relationships. You will lead a team of committed volunteers and sessional staff, manage various hub activities, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide holistic support for our service users. As part of your remit you will also work alongside colleagues to develop our exciting new community meanwhile space by organising events, workshops and informal opportunities for connection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Building & Engagement: Develop and manage a welcoming hub that operates 5 days a week, offering tailored activities and programs that meet the needs and strengths of the community.
• Support & Empowerment: Work closely with volunteers to provide encouragement and support, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among hub participants. To include developing a steering group to help amplify the voices of marginalised individuals and groups.
• Partnership Development: Maintain and strengthen partnerships with local organisations and agencies, ensuring integrated and holistic support for service users.
• Operational Leadership: Assist in the hub's daily operations, including coordinating volunteers and supporting the management of the community café.
• Promotion & Outreach: Promote the hub's activities and conduct outreach to engage vulnerable groups, ensuring inclusivity and cultural diversity.
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Compliance: Use tools like Upshot to track participation and outcomes, ensuring compliance with funders as well as our own strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement or project management and possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of developing and delivering community-based programs. You should be IT literate, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for candidates with experience of supporting individuals with barriers to work into paid employment. Within this role you will carry a significant responsibility, managing a caseload of clients from a refugee background and supporting them in securing meaningful employment, training, and education opportunities.

You will provide one-to-one personalised support, delivering quality Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), alongside ongoing support to ensure your clients have all the skills they need to get into work. This involves working with clients to produce individual action plans with clear goals and actions to overcome identified needs and barriers and provide a clear pathway towards the labour market.

You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goals. Complementary support will be delivered through our volunteers who are trained in delivering employment advice, and you will book weekly appointments for clients, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.

You will also work with specialist referral partners to support clients to overcome complex barriers to employment. We offer a strong team environment, where your ideas and drive will be welcomed and where you as an individual can make a real difference to people’s lives.

ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet. ISEAL’s Impact and Innovations workstreams explore new solutions to operational and strategic challenges sustainability standards face. The ISEAL Innovations Fund provides funding for ISEAL Community Members to pilot innovative and collaborative solutions that strengthen the effectiveness and credibility of their systems and offer solutions to sustainability issues such as climate mitigation, poverty reduction, and the detection of human rights violations. 

To understand our impact, ISEAL tracks and analyses the successful and unsuccessful Innovations Fund grant applications, the engagement of community members and external partners in our work, and the system improvements and innovations that community members adopt. This role will support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and communications activities of the Innovations Fund and other ISEAL workstreams. 

To be considered for this role, you should be comfortable carrying out multiple activities concurrently and enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks with different colleagues and teams. You have a strong interest in learning more about topics related to sustainability standards and are eager to expand your knowledge and skillset by working on a range of activities.

Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

Tracking and analysis of data and information

• Upload and keep up to date grant, contact and event participant records on Monday com, Salesforce, Mailchimp, and other relevant systems 
• Collect/extract data, statistics from Innovation Fund grants and unsuccessful applications to support in identification of key lessons and trends 
• Maintain systems for tracking member engagement in ISEAL activities and for tracking improvements and innovations made by ISEAL community members
• Support the analysis of these and other databases, preparing data summaries, graphs and diagrams with Excel and other tools, and drafting presentations for internal learning and reporting

 General administrative and coordination support

• Support project administration by  assisting with meeting scheduling, note-taking, meeting follow up; and supporting procurement and contract management
• Implement project processes and maintain project related systems, e.g. tracking deliverables and actions, activities and invoices
• Proof-read, edit, design, and format documents in Word and Powerpoint, using ISEAL templates
• Support organisation, speaker outreach, and event logistics for webinars and working groups on various topics, including tech support with platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams
• Support the Innovation Fund team with monitoring and tracking communication with grantees and grantee compliance with timelines and guidelines

 Communications and platform management

• Prepare project communication materials (information sheets, powerpoint slides, and website content)
• Support with drafting project updates and producing analyses of project results to be used in newsletters, on ISEAL social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn), and in donor reporting
• Liaise with colleagues to keep content on relevant pages on the ISEAL internal platform and ISEAL website updated
• Coordinate with ISEAL communications and membership teams to promote relevant content (e.g., Innovation Fund funding opportunities, and project updates, outputs, and learning) 

Other

• Provide background research and information gathering support as required
• Assist with in-person events, including support with logistics and preparation of agendas, communication with participants etc.

Experience, Knowledge and Attribute

• Experience working or interning in a support/administrative role, ideally in an international NGO, professional or membership organisation, or research/knowledge organisation
• Skills and interest in information systems, data tracking and/or monitoring and evaluation, with some experience supporting on contact management and information/data tracking and analysis
• Strong organisational skills, with some experience with supporting administration, meeting coordination, logistics, contracts, proof-reading, communications, etc.
• Good time management and ability to organise multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently with precision and strong attention to detail
• Excellent written & spoken English, with proven ability to write clearly and concisely
• Confidence in communications with peers and external partners, comfortable in public speaking situations (e.g. webinars, workshops etc)

We are looking for a Programmes Funding Officer to join the Able Child team!

Role summary

Working within our Programmes Team, you will secure over £200k of new income for each financial year to fund disability-inclusive programmes from a range of donors.

You will build relationships with corporates, trusts and foundations, institutional donors and other consortium partners, researching and identifying new funders and new opportunities whose strategic objectives and focus areas are aligned with our own.

You will work collaboratively with the Programmes Team and our Network members in Africa to develop and write compelling and high-quality proposals. You will develop new projects, MEAL plans and multi-year budgets.

You will work both independently and collaboratively to develop proposals. With excellent time management and organisational skills, you will demonstrate the ability to deliver quality work and meet deadlines, while managing a varied workload.

Contractual terms

Location: Nine Elms, Central London

Start date: Ideally end of September, however this is subject to the availability of the successful candidate.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hrs week (open to reduced hours if desired)

About you

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and self-motivated individual, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, to join our Programmes Team at a pivotal time in the organisation.

You will have at least two years’ experience working in a similar role for an international development charity.

You will have experience in designing projects alongside civil society organisations overseas and developing applications for grants-based funding.

You will have a commitment to local civil society strengthening and ideally have experience in fundraising for disability-inclusive development.

We are looking for a creative, and dynamic Digital Campaigns and Social Media Officer to join our team and help us grow positivity towards The National Lottery brand and make even more people aware of the significant positive impact National Lottery funding has on all aspects of life in the UK.

In this position you will work as part of a small digital team and alongside our Heads of Campaigns to deliver our communications strategy by strengthening and growing The National Lottery’s relationship with players and the public through engaging digital social media content and storytelling.

Title: Digital Communications Co-ordinator (Part time hours over five days)

Job Purpose: Responsible for digital communications for all Charity events, campaigns, projects & communications

Main duties and key responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Daily management of Charity social media channels, including content creation, sourcing, monitoring, and reporting
• General content creation and updates for Charity channels other than social media, such as website, newsletters, and virtual office. This includes written and visual content alike.
• Support the implementation of all comms and activities throughout the charity teams.
• Assist in the development of the charity communication plan and strategy.
