About the role  

We are seeking a Head of Development and Partnerships to join our Senior Management Team alongside the CEO, Head of Programmes and Head of Finance and Operations. 

You will drive income generation and partnerships development with funders and prime contractors within primarily the UK public and international development sectors, ensuring that our programmes, courses and consultancy offerings meet market needs and are financially sustainable.

You will lead on activities generating over £1m annually through grants, tenders, contracts, partnerships, and strategic communications contributing to The Human Edge's financial growth and brand development. 

As the key member dedicated to income generation, you will shape and expand our funding streams, driving the growth of our services while serving as a charismatic external ambassador and effective communicator and influencer.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Services Assistant to join the Development, Alumni and Campaigns team to support the stewardship of our donors, alumni activity and the management of donations to the University. 
 
Key duties of the role include maintaining donor records on our system, drafting documents such as thank you letters and gift agreements, processing and reconciliation of donations and support for events and alumni activity.
 
You will have good organisation and time management skills as well as the ability to pay attention to detail both in financial and written work. 
 
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to seek and grow relationships with supporters who can help us build a new Children’s Hospital and a new Cancer Hospital in Cambridge.

You will work with the Co-Directors of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Lead to steward a group of senior-level volunteers for both the Children’s Hospital and Cancer Hospital.

As Philanthropy Lead, you will focus on cultivating new major donor prospects, developing loyal relationships, and ultimately securing financial support for our new hospitals. You will be talented at spotting opportunities as they arise, highly motivated and professional.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and lead-deliver a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction projects and activities with communities, businesses, and individuals across North Wales.
• Plan and support the Energy Advice Team to deliver our service in line with all funder and contract requirements, ensuring quality of support, time management and report requirements are all completed in appropriate time aligned with all requirements.
• Manage and monitor the Energy Advice Team through performance monitoring and monthly review.
• Using a standard Groundwork Federation GHG Inventory Tool for emission reporting develop, deliver and monitor our annual carbon reduction plan, working with business managers to ensure data is recoded correctly and improvements to our carbon footprint are made.
• Facilitate the renewal of the Green Dragon accreditation, implementing and managing our internal environment systems and processes up to a level 3 standard.
• Arrange and carry out home visits to support residents in reducing their carbon emissions and to save money by lowering the level of consumption and cost of energy.
• Advocate and liaise for householders with energy companies and gas and electric network providers to ensure customers receive the best possible deal for their requirements.
• Work with referral partners to identify vulnerable households, and evidence eligibility to provide support with energy advice and administer emergency fuel vouchers.
• Provide effective support, both advisory and practical, to enable people to make positive changes to their behaviour and to improve the quality of their lives; record actions and highlight the importance of keeping warm to the health and wellbeing of residents.
• Assist residents to access other relevant and complementary services and agencies, liaising with other agencies to assist residents to access funding and support to deliver larger energy efficiency measures.
• Liaise with residents on a day-to-day basis in a professional and friendly manner and build good working relationships with them either face to face or through the provision of telephone advice.
• Oversee the booking and scheduling of visits and respond to referrals from funders in a timely manner.
• Oversee the ordering of stock, ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock is monitored closely.
• Undertake monitoring information and reporting requirements as required by the Trust and funders, ensuring all the funders’ requirements are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Run events or energy surgeries to raise awareness of projects in local communities.
• Deliver outreach activities to generate referrals, e.g. door-knocking, events, road shows, etc.
• Work flexibly as part of the Energy Advice Team and across other teams, including occasional weekend working.
• Contribute to the business development of the Energy Business Area by identifying needs within the sector and collecting evaluation evidence and factual data that back up any development of new bids and tenders.
• Represent the Trust professionally to internal and external contacts, assisting with the promotion of projects and the broader activities of the Trust.

The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in a senior operations role, preferably within the non-profit sector. They will have a proven track record in financial management, fundraising/development and operational excellence. Strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to human rights are essential for success in this role. Given the wide-ranging nature of the role, we are open to candidates who have relatively less experience in a certain area provided they can deliver in the role and clearly demonstrate their aptitude to develop any skills as necessary.

About the role: 

This role will be responsible for creating content, regular posting and being the face of Crimestoppers and Fearless social media platforms, and Crimestoppers & Fearless websites. The role will also contribute to the development of Crimestoppers and Fearless campaign ideas, content and messaging and manage the execution and reporting of multi-channel communication activities. The role will support our design and development work for Crimestoppers & Fearless national, business growth and fundraising campaigns along with supporting regional campaign activities run by the regional manager network. The Digital Content and Creative assistant will also provide support for the Fearless Youth Panel, volunteering teams and delivering training for the volunteers
when required. The role will also provide the opportunity to develop PR skills with training provided.

• Support the Fearless Team to plan and produce content across all Fearless social media platforms to drive positive engagement and increase follower growth.
• Support with quality assuring content and assets to agreed Fearless standards and guidelines. Ensuring that content is relevant, accurate and on brand.
• Help the Fearless Team to keep up to date with the latest developments across digital media and explore new platforms
