The Food & Beverage Outlet Manager is a key role within the UWLSU Commercial team, who are changing the way they engage and support students at The University of West London Students’ Union. This role will work with full-time and student part-time staff to provide top tier service for our customers. This includes but is not limited to management and service throughout our outlets. As the Philanthropy Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with major donors to secure income and support. Joining a team of six this role will have great support and will work towards a seven-figure team target. Also, with a prospect research function in the organisation, this role will be engaging qualified donors of all levels. To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with individuals capable of giving gifts of a four, five or six figure level. This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices 1-2 days per week. The salary for this role is £45,000.

Research Manager
Hours:  30 hours per week (part-time).  Flexible working requests will be considered.

This rewarding post oversees the exciting research portfolio of the Psoriasis Association.  You will join at an exciting time with involvement in the updating of the Research Strategy.  The Psoriasis Association is a busy charity who alongside promoting and funding research, offers authoritative, reliable, quality information, advice and support for people whose lives are affected by psoriasis, in addition to raising awareness of psoriasis.

Principal Roles:

• Manage the processing of new grant applications, ensuring that the charity continues to attract high quality proposals and achieve high standards in their assessment.  The work required as part of this process includes guidance for applicants, collating all reviewer feedback, undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis of scores and feedback to inform discussion at the meetings of the Medical and Research Committee.

• Manage the monitoring of ongoing grants.

• Oversee annual Researchfish impact data gathering for all relevant grants and report on findings.

• Work alongside the Communications Department to promote the research funded by the Psoriasis Association.

Key Duties

• To provide support to the Chief Executive and Finance Officer on administering the ongoing awarding and monitoring of Psoriasis Association Grants.

• Work as part of a small team to further the important work of the Psoriasis Association.

• Analyse the impact of Psoriasis Association funded research.

• Update and implement the Psoriasis Association’s Research Strategy.

• Ensuring compliance with the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) membership criteria. 

Person Specification

The NewBridge Project is an active artist-led community that supports artists, curators and communities through the provision of space for creative practice and an ambitious artist-led programme of exhibitions, commissions, artist development and events.

We work with our studio members, the wider artistic community and our neighbours to create a programme that responds to their needs and those of the local environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Fundraising 

• Work closely with the Director and Programme Director to oversee the review, development and delivery of our fundraising strategy.
• Undertake research to identify potential new sources of funding from a variety of sources.
• Support and where appropriate lead on the writing of funding applications for core and project funding.
• Develop written case for support documents (such as case studies, needs-based analysis) that can be used for a variety funding applications.
• Input into the development and ongoing review of an ethical fundraising policy, in line with NewBridge’s values and ethos
• Work closely with the Director, Programme Director, and external evaluators, to embed and implement an evaluation framework into all strands of NewBridge’s work.

Funding Management & Reporting

• Oversee NewBridge’s obligations to funders and partners, through the production and submission of reports across multiple grant/reporting platforms. At present this includes:
  • Arts Council England 
  • Newcastle University
  • Newcastle Culture Investment Fund
  • North East Combined Authority - Skills for Growth Project (see more detail below).
• Manage and update reporting and evaluation timelines, working with staff to ensure we meet external deadlines.
• Manage, update and prepare up to date budgets for funders and partners when necessary.
• Write reports on progress/delivery for funders and partners, that demonstrate impact and progress against outlined objectives

Management of North East Combined Authority Reporting & Operations.

• Lead on quarterly and annual reporting for North East Combined Authority, this will include:
• Processing quarterly financial claims
• Revising budget/cashflow on quarterly basis
• Submitting written progress report, and updates on key performance indicators and milestones
• Work with project partners Newcastle University, including;
• Preparation for bi-monthly steering group meetings and monthly operations group meetings, including:
• Scheduling and set up for in-person, hybrid and online meetings
• Taking and sharing meeting minutes and follow-up actions from above meetings
• Leading on the assembly and dissemination of papers for meetings.
• Gather necessary information from university to be inputted into reports/evaluation.

 Monitoring and Evaluation

• Work in collaboration with team at NewBridge to capture qualitative and quantitative data on audiences, participants and collaborators (including social impact reporting, equalities and diversity monitoring, environmental impact, and audience data).
• Lead on evaluation administration, including review and implementation of systems for recording data/feedback and completing data entry. 
• Attend events and activity at NewBridge in order to support with monitoring and evaluation.
• Work with external evaluators where applicable – at present this includes working with Ortus Economic Research to evaluate our North East Combined Authority Skills for Growth project.

Philanthropy Manager

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to proactively lead the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, trusts and statutory bodies, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, the Philanthropy Manager will drive the growth of a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level, with a particular focus on generating major gifts from new donors. The postholder will think strategically to develop inspiring fundraising cases of support, and impact reporting working closely with Care service colleagues, the finance team and the wider fundraising and engagement team.

This role has line management responsibility for three experienced fundraisers who manage their own portfolios of Major Donors, Trusts, and Foundations.

The UK & International Finance Manager is responsible for the comprehensive financial management, planning, monitoring, and reporting of daily financial activities across HQ and country programmes. This includes providing advice to senior management on financial strategies.

The responsibilities include managing finances with strong controls, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating annual account production, and developing and monitoring the annual budget with senior finance leaders. The UK & International Finance Manager will lead a team of technical and finance professionals, utilising expertise in finance systems and technical tools like SQL. The role includes international travel to set up and implement systems, migrate data, deliver training, and provide ongoing support. 1. Manage the Muslim Aid HQ Finance function, ensuring continuous financial review including costs and revenue recognition.
2. Responsibility for all month end process in monthly management accounts reporting.
3. Prepare management accounts including analysis of variances and reporting to budget holders, LT and Board.
4. Ensuring UK & International purchase invoices and payment vouchers are correctly coded, authorised, recorded on the finance system, payment and dealing with queries within a timely manner.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. Prospectus is delighted to be working with Aberystwyth University to support the search for a Philanthropy Manager to join their growing Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO).

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the post-holder will work with major donors and legacy prospects within the University’s 100,000 alumni community and with other supporters at local, national, UK and international levels.

The Philanthropy Manager will develop and lead a programme of long and short-term plans and activities to ensure income targets from major donations (both in lifetime and gifts in wills) to the University. The Philanthropy Manager will also lead a small, motivated team of fundraising professionals.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of securing five and six-figure gifts from an individual, from initiating first contact to cultivation, through to gift agreement. The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of developing and delivering major donor plans and strategies targeting those capable of giving at high value levels.
