This role will involve working closely with the Corporate Partnerships and Challenge Events Manager to provide admin support to the fundraising directorate, manage and maintain a portfolio of corporate partnerships, maximising income, and support benefits through delivery of excellent partnership stewardship and a great supporter experience. This role will involve supporting the challenge event portfolio as well as working with a variety of areas across the fundraising division such as Philanthropy, Individual Giving and Corporate. to enable Home-Start to support more families around the UK.

As our Fundraising Lead you will work with the Fundraising Manager to increase the number of supporters and income by: 

• Developing and organising fundraising events, campaigns and community support 

• building relationships with existing and new supporters

We are looking for a creative, and dynamic Digital Campaigns and Social Media Officer to join our team and help us grow positivity towards The National Lottery brand and make even more people aware of the significant positive impact National Lottery funding has on all aspects of life in the UK.

In this position you will work as part of a small digital team and alongside our Heads of Campaigns to deliver our communications strategy by strengthening and growing The National Lottery’s relationship with players and the public through engaging digital social media content and storytelling.

You will play an important role working with many well-known social media platforms and publishers and helping to commission and create exciting content for our own channels. Furthermore, you will lead on digital elements of our public facing campaigns and be responsible for helping to manage the NLPU’s social media platforms and digital presence.

A flexible and proactive approach to relationship management is essential to influence stakeholders across the complex National Lottery family structure to ensure an aligned and consistent One National Lottery voice is applied to digital media.

Ideally, you will have at least two years in a social media role either in a large organisation or within the creative industries. And you should be a confident communicator who can adapt to fast changing scenarios, work under pressure and be a passionate advocator for digital and social media communications.

• Lead and develop the Financial Reporting team, including regular 1-2-1's, coaching, mentoring & upskilling where appropriate.

• Qualified accountant with experience in a comparable role or qualified by experience.

You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard. Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• To sort HES inbound post, ensuring items are passed to the correct team or staff member and coordinate HES outbound post requests, collating and printing information to send to households.
• To coordinate text messages to send to clients who would benefit from our advice services and speak to households by telephone and triage households to appropriate HES projects.
• To book home visits for advisors, keeping calendars up to date with appointments, cancellations and amendments. Accurately completing the home visits risk assessment when required.
• To coordinate events data and bookings across the team and supporting energy advisors with event preparation.
• To coordinate retrofit activity with funders and report back on outcomes and queries, managing 8+ retrofit staff diaries and keeping them up to date with appointments, cancellations and amendments.
• To record client details and follow HES team guidance documents to assess the help and support needed. Ensuring to update our client databases and other contact management systems accurately.
• Support the internal training programme, making sure evaluations are completed and booking inductions for new starters.

Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.

Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills.

Role Overview:

As the Operations Executive at Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, you will play the lead role in the efficient and effective delivery of our charitable and organisational aims. Reporting to our Chair of Trustees, you will work with autonomy and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our charity, managing our small team of dedicated staff and volunteers and driving our fundraising initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability as an organisation.

Key responsibilities:

Purpose of the role

Tech Angels (previously Tech to Community Connect) is a service which aims to reduce digital exclusion across Surrey. In recent years, and particularly now in a post-pandemic society, so much connection happens digitally; those without the knowledge or equipment to connect to the internet are at a very high risk of loneliness and isolation, which have a significant negative impact on physical and mental health.

To combat this, we provide devices on long term loan to people who are disabled or living with a health condition, family carers, of older age, or to those with another vulnerability. We also offer a ‘match’ with one of our team of volunteer Tech Angels, to help with digital literacy and confidence.  We also supply sim cards with data to those, who don’t have wi-fi, so that they can be connected. 

The purpose of the role will be to drive and coordinate referrals into and through the service, making sure that people facing digital exclusion get the support they need to get (and stay) connected.  Ultimately the outcomes we are focused on achieving are a reduction in health inequality and an increase in wellbeing.

Main responsibilities

1. Coordination of Tech to Community Connect activity in a defined part of Surrey

2. Communication with people using the service, carers, volunteers, organisations that may have referred to the service and other stakeholders

3. Database management, record keeping and impact measurement following all data security policies

It is essential that you have:

Working with our brilliant network of hosts, other organisations and directly with guests themselves, our Placement Coordinators are at the forefront of ensuring that we can host refugees and people seeking asylum. 

You'll beresponsible for overseeing your caseload of R@H placements and database management. The role of Placement Coordinator will be to work alongside the placement team in making safe placements quickly and efficiently.

Areas of Responsibility

Planning and Logistics across Communications and Research: 

• Supporting event planning (e.g. managing venues, hospitality, invitations). 

• Working with our Research team to support fieldwork planning and travel.

• Working closely with our Head of Communications to develop and plan social media posts and email campaigns around our work.

• Planning and managing event logistics from round-tables with senior politicians to our annual conference IncludEd.

• Scheduling of meetings for internal team members, important external stakeholders including journalists, research participants (like our headteachers, parents, young people) and policymakers.

Tracking Press, Research and Data: 

• Ensuring we are aware of upcoming publications and events relevant to our team or community.

We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to join Save the Children UK in an exciting role partnering with the Start Network within our Global Programmes division!

Our Finance Team helps us to grow our income and increase the impact of our spending and our Finance Business Partners key responsibilities include leading our financial planning and management, driving value for money, providing excellent management information and analysis, and providing robust partnering and challenge to managers at all levels.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll be partnering with the Start Network as part of our Global Programmes division, working and influencing the relevant teams to support their strategic decision making and managing income/expenditure budgets across divisional areas of significant variability.

Start Network is an independent charity made up of more than 80 aid agency members across five continents, including international, national and local organisations who aim to deliver more effective emergency aid, harnessing the power and knowledge of the network to make faster and better decisions to help people affected by crises. 

The Start Platform maintains a strong relationship with Save the Children as the grant custodian of many of the Start Network's programmes, so whilst you'll be embedded within the finance team at Save the Children UK in this role, you'll be playing a key role dedicated to the Start Network.

As Finance Business Partner, you will support and drive the business areas you partner with, including Start Funds and Risk Financing, in maximising impact for children through delivery of effective and efficient financial performance and awards management.

In this role, you will: 

• Provide strategic and financial decision support to your assigned team within Global Programmes to underpin strong financial performance
• Provide effective monthly reporting to support regular reviews of business performance
• Work alongside the business to develop forecasts, budgets, and longer-term financial plans
• Develop business models underpinning financial planning and provide the financial inputs for business cases
• Assist teams in developing their strategy and building business cases for investment spend within their areas, providing financial and commercial insight and challenging to ensure best value for money and efficiencies.

About you

You'll be an experienced qualified certified accountant with relevant post qualification experience, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. 

You'll have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to work collaboratively and influence the decision making of a diverse set of stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:

• Experience providing strategic and finance business partnering support to senior managers
• Experience in the preparation of management accounts and involvement in financial planning and budgeting processes
• Experience managing awards, including budget and financial report preparation
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (and an advanced Excel user)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify financial issues as they arise, assess their likely impact, and devise appropriate responses
• Commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission and values.

This position is for a 9-month Fixed Term Contract.

Ways of Working: 

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

Join us in a role that includes community-based engagement and research, and also presenting what our local communities tell us about their experiences of accessing health and social care services and their needs. Topics we discuss and champion with the community can vary, but we are often focused on health inequalities. Recent projects have included speaking to black and Asian women about support as new parents, championing more co-ordinated mental health support for people who experience homelessness. We’re now focusing on support for families awaiting an Autism diagnosis for their child and how people who usually experience barriers to healthcare may be able to more quickly get the support they need. Joining our team this year will also mean you are involved in what we turn to next.

We are looking for a flexible and proactive colleague with skills and experience in three areas:

- community research and report writing

- signposting members of the public to support when they call us and designing and leading community workshops

- and supporting and co-ordinating volunteer involvement and contributions to this activity.

Ideally you will have knowledge, skills and experience that come from living in and/or working within minority communities.

As the Project Officer you will plan, organise and coordinate collecting and reporting people’s feedback on a variety of projects that often require collaboration across our organisation and with other organisations, managing more than one project at once and negotiating the next steps and deadlines. The approach includes designing our work to ensure that the community benefits from taking part, from empowerment to capacity building.

Working Well Trust is a mental health, learning disability and neurodiverse and employment focused charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, or who have learning disabilities and/or who are neurodiverse through training and employment.

This new role of People Lead will be working with our team to support their employment and wellbeing, as well as providing the key structure and systems to enable the Trust to deliver to our clients and funders.  Over the last couple of years we have expanded and although we are proud of how we support our clients and colleagues it is now clear that we need in-house support to ensure that this continues and to help drive improvements. 

As this is a stand alone post (ie you will be the only HR/People specialist) we do need someone who is experienced and CIPD qualified.  Experience of the charity/third sector is not essential nor is management experience. Commitment to promoting welfare and inclusion are essential requirements for the role.

You will be reporting to the CEO but also be the key employee on the People and Culture sub committee which brings together trustees, including a HR professional, and staff to discuss and plan work priorities.

The role we are recruiting for is as follows:
