It is important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve, and we want everyone in our team to feel they belong. We ensure staff familiarise themselves with our company policies and procedures, uphold the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Harassment and Bullying policies, act at all times within the company rules and procedures and observe health and safety procedures to ensure personal safety when working remotely. We also have mental health first-aiders in place and a fantastic wellbeing service that provides bespoke support to all employees.

Each member can be fully home based, work from the office of their nearest community foundation or combine the two approaches according to their situation and preference.
UKCF is made of a small, friendly and supportive team. We make time to catch up socially as well as to work. We meet in person three times a year over a few days, visiting a different community foundation and region each time. Do you have experience of engaging successfully with challenging people such as people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused?
If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a Personal Wellbeing Coach to join us and help to oversee the delivery of Personal Wellbeing services to referrals made by Wales Probation Service.
About St Giles Trust
An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.
St Giles is now a kickstart employer, so we are part of the scheme which provides job opportunities for 16-24-year-olds who are currently on Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.
The Wise Group is a leading social enterprise working to lift people out of poverty. St Giles and The Wise Group came together to form a partnership with the aim of supporting the Probation Resettlement reforms by offering a high-quality service underpinned by staff who have lived experience and cultural competency. As a result, we have been awarded contracts to deliver Personal Wellbeing Services for North and South Wales. These services will involve a range of support to community offenders and prison leavers including families, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle and associates and social inclusion (including meet at the gates).
About this exciting opportunity
Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.
We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales. Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.
What we are looking for
• Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
• An ability to work sensitively with clients applying trauma-informed strategies
• Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Please note this role requires Enhanced Adult DBS checks
In return, you can expect a competitive salary, generous leave allowance, staff pension, flexible working, a mentoring programme, an advice and counselling service, season ticket loan and much more.
We are an equity and inclusion confident employer. We welcome all applications and we particularly encourage applications from people of the global majority (black, brown, multi- heritage) and those who identify as disabled, neuroexpansive, neurodiverse, with any protected characteristics and/or social barriers or challenges. We value the empowering and informative impact that all lived experiences and diversity of thought can offer the organisation.
St Giles will guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria set out in the Job Description for the vacancy.

About FitzRoy
At FitzRoy we believe people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health support needs should be able to live in their homes, independently, with a life filled with love and choices.
Our Hall Drive supported living service in Nottingham is a great example of how we support people in their community and keep them out of institutionalised care. Steven, one of the four residents, has autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy as well as a learning disability and tunnel vision. A wide mix of support needs is typical of most of the people we support across FitzRoy.
“Give me a trumpet and I’ll blow it from the rooftops, I cannot praise the team highly enough for what they do. They’ve given him a life. I was the one who had to section him for his own safety but he’s just gone from strength to strength and now he’s just a different person. Without FitzRoy I think he’d still be sectioned now, living an awful life.”
Steven’s sister Tracey
The majority of FitzRoy’s funding comes from statutory sources. Local authorities pay for the basic housing and support needs of the hundreds of people we support in supported living services, care homes, as well as in their own homes.
From a ground-breaking digital transformation programme, to assistive technology and home improvements and extensions, we rely on fundraising to transform our support, enabling us to provide the extras - that make a house a home, and a life well-lived and a person fulfilled.
FitzRoy was founded 60 years ago by two parents, Elizabeth Fitzroy and John Williams, who
pioneered a new way of caring for people with learning disabilities. At the time, most children and adults with learning disabilities lived a life of isolation, often ostracised from their communities and hidden away in institutions.
Our founders had an alternative vision – care in small, family style homes and where people with learning disabilities can flourish, living a life of independence and joy, and most importantly, the life they choose. Elizabeth Fitzroy and John Williams changed the face of social care to secure a future, not just for their children, but for generations to come.
Today, FitzRoy remains strongly rooted in the values and ethos of our founders. We are proud to support over 800 adults with a range of learning and physical disabilities and autism across more than 100 services in England. Through our registered care homes, supported living, support at home and day services, we are committed to breaking down barriers and raising the bar in standards of quality care for the people we support.
