Large team of close to 60 - the team here are great, really friendly but also switched on. Large complex organisation with opportunity for progression. The organisation is made up of several entities. Income is approx. £325m.
The Finance team is currently supporting with some major change and transformation projects, as well as undergoing significant changes to their own ways of working to ensure they can deliver a high-quality finance service which meets the needs of the organisation. This includes undertaking a Finance Transformation Programme to help Finance develop their service (replacing an ageing finance system as well as associated process improvement and changes to ways of working).
Your new role Partnering with budget holders in the Central Services area which will include finance, HR, procurement, legal, communications. You will provide accurate and timely management information, budget monitoring, analysis and advice to budget holders and key stakeholders, fostering a culture of financial accountability and cost efficiency. You will also provide relevant challenge and insight to support decision-making and ensure that budgets and forecasts reflect objectives and strategy.
- Building strong relationships with senior managers and budget holders and work with them to develop a deep understanding of activities, priorities and business, including identifying key risks and opportunities
- Providing constructive challenge to hold budget holders to account for financial performance
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience gained from working as a finance business partner covering all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Experience of providing commentary and analysis to senior colleagues
You will be a qualified Accountant
Very strong excel skills - ideally including excel modelling or ability to learn

This is a Permanent Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
The role can be based at home – where a suitable home working environment is in place – or from any RSPB office, located at different locations across the UK. The role may require occasional travel to an RSPB office or to support meetings in central UK locations.
The RSPB is looking for an Executive Personal Assistant (Exec PA) to join the Income and Conservation Investment directorate, providing vital support to the Executive Director and wider leadership team, as well as facilitating the smooth running of the 300 people strong directorate.
About ICI
The Income and Conservation Investment (ICI) team are dedicated to generating income, long term support and system change to help protect and restore nature. The directorate comprises of teams responsible for membership & supporter fundraising, legacies, commercial sales, high value partnerships, business engagement and conservation investment. This is a great opportunity to support a key strategic function within RSPB and would suit someone who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment, to learn about and support income generation and enable others to be the best they can be.
What's the role about?
As Executive PA, you will provide assistance to the Executive Director of Income and Conservation Investment (ICI), managing their busy inbox and diary and proactively helping them to stay on top of actions and deadlines. You will also play an important role at leadership team meetings, ensuring their smooth running by producing agendas and capturing actions. You will be a key point of contact for colleagues across the directorate and around the RSPB so we are looking for someone with a positive and approachable manner who enjoys working with others and is able to efficiently prioritise and problem-solve. A typical day might include tasks such as:
- Supporting the Executive Director through inbox and diary management, booking travel and accommodation, compiling agendas, gathering meeting papers, collating actions and reminders
- Working with the Board and Council Coordinator to ensure papers are drafted and submitted within set timeframes and follow the correct process.
- Building and developing effective relationships with people across the organisation and externally on behalf of Executive Director. Ensuring confidential and sensitive matters are handled appropriately.
- Organising monthly directorate briefings and other engagement activities, sourcing interesting and relevant content to help inspire colleagues and showcase the work of teams across the RSPB.
- Facilitating various meetings, including that of the leadership team by working with the meeting chair to produce agendas, gather papers, book guest presenters, capture actions and generally ensure meetings run efficiently.
- Understanding, sharing and implementing best practice from across the organisation, for example, Information Management principles, new digital tools or ensuring meetings are inclusive and accessible.
- Working closely with the Executive Board PA group to improve processes and provide cover during times of absence.
- Supporting the leadership team with recruitment and induction of new staff and volunteers, following appropriate policies and procedures where applicable.
- Working in line with the RSPB expenses and purchasing policies, file expense claims and raise purchase orders.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- At least one years experience of providing PA support to Director and/or senior management
- Experience of providing dedicated personal administrative support to senior staff.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft O365 suite, particularly SharePoint, PowerPoint and collaboration tools
- Able to make the best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively, during periods of both low and high demand.
- Able to proactively identify and solve problems and respond quickly to change
- Able to identify and act on opportunities for continually improving ways of working and create efficiencies
- Able to communicate effectively with people from all levels of the organisation as well as external stakeholders
- Able to organise meetings and events, of varying scales, and coordinate all aspects of the logistics.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Lead role is to support safeguarding practice in dioceses and cathedrals across the Church of England.
As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will support the development of best safeguarding practices in one of eight regional clusters of Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and cathedrals. Providing professional supervision and quality assurance to Safeguarding Officers, you will support the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice. You will also support Church bodies to respond to the findings of the Independent Safeguarding Audit Programme.
You will facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources, group supervision, and the commissioning of joint initiatives between Church bodies. Working closely with senior managers, senior clergy and other stakeholders, you will ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing 1:1 professional supervision to Safeguarding Officers in dioceses and cathedrals, informed by the 4x4x4 integrated/restorative model of supervision (Morrisson & Wonnacott).
- Providing advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations.
- Using tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes ensuring the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
- Leading regional networks of safeguarding professionals from dioceses and cathedrals, and facilitating joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements.
- Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders within dioceses and cathedrals, in particular, their senior leadership teams.

About the role

About The Role

Global Health 50/50 (GH5050) is an independent, evidence-driven initiative to advance action and accountability for gender equality. GH5050 was formed around a unique model which brings together the rigour of academic research, the knowledge of how policy change can occur and the momentum of advocates and communicators to catalyse progress on gender equality. GH5050’s mission is ‘To improve health, well-being, and social justice through the promotion of human rights, particularly in relation to gender equality, by conducting research, disseminating the useful results of such research, and providing information, advice and advocacy.’ Established in 2017, GH5050 is a non-profit organisation (as a UK registered charity) headquartered in Cambridge, UK, that initially focussed on the health sector and is increasingly active in the justice and finance systems, globally and at country level.
Context
Through our flagship annual report and Gender and Health Index, GH5050 provides the only bird’s-eye view of gender, inclusion and equality in the global health sector today. The report assesses 200 organisations annually across a core set of variables on policies and practices to tackle power and privilege imbalances within the workplace, the gender and geography of organisational leadership, and whether gender is considered in any organisations' external-facing programmatic or policy work. Working with research and advocacy partners, supported by an advisory group, gender and health experts and a team of research consultants, GH5050 leverages the research data and evidence to engage with the assessed organisations directly.
The successful candidate for this post is expected to play an integral role in contributing to the research, dissemination and impact work of GH5050, during a time of rapid growth.
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research and accountability initiatives for gender equality. You will join a small and growing team of staff working at GH5050. We are looking for a motivated, proactive, dynamic, collaborative and meticulously detail-oriented individual to join our team and encourage applications from people who meet the person specification and are interested in taking on the tasks and responsibilities of this key role in GH5050.
The programmatic priorities of this role in Year 1 include supporting the processes of research, partnership and publication of: 1) Disability, gender and health report, 2) Gendered Health Pathways data visualisation tool, 3) 2025 annual health sector report, 4) inaugural global justice 50/50 report. It is expected that over the course of Year 1, approximately 70% of this role will be dedicated to the health sector research and 30% to the justice sector. In Year 2 of the role, some research support and particularly capacity building for researchers in the new economics and finance sector may be required.
Conduct gender research (30%). Contribute to the GH5050 annual reports, including methodology design, data collection oversight, data analysis, validation and interpretation, research and evidence-scoping. Conduct other research at the intersection of global health, global justice, career leadership, and gender equality in support of GH5050 thematic reports, projects and activities as required. This may include literature reviews, scoping reviews and evidence mapping. Contribute to a range of policy analyses including conducting background research and evidence reviews, contributing to the development of best practice policy recommendations.Some research on organisations active in the global justice sector may be required.
Manage and analyse data (20%). With the health and justice sector leads, provide rigorous quality control, validation, cleaning and storage of all data collected. Prepare spreadsheets for analysis and work with statistical and subject experts to analyse data. Work with website developers to integrate data into the GH5050 website.
Translate findings, from evidence to recommendation(20%). Support the sector leads in the drafting of report outlines, integration of research outputs into draft reports and the articulation of findings and messages in the development of range of outputs including reports, policy briefs, papers for peer-reviewed publications and op-eds. Coordinate with the communications team on preparing communications materials and preparing dissemination activities.
Coordinate projects and partnerships (20%). Support the Head of Research & Impact and the Sector Specialists to manage research and publication workstreams, ensuring the timely delivery of research products and effective management of research partnerships. Some minimal support to coordination of the other sectors may be required.
Liaise with researchers (10%). Support the sector leads in coordinating with the cohort of part-time research consultants, facilitating effective communication between research consultants and senior staff, and supporting the implementation of a new programme of researcher engagement and development. Participate in onboarding and training of new researchers on GH5050 methods.
External engagement. Present GH5050 data to and participate in conferences and events as needed.

The Magpie Project supports women with preschool children who are living in temporary or insecure accommodation in Newham and other London boroughs. We provide stay-and-play sessions alongside casework around housing, immigration, and other related issues, plus healthy home-made food, a baby bank, and a focus on high-quality play and creativity for mums and minis to foster a sense of joy and belonging.
We advocate and campaign, alongside our mums, on the issues which have the greatest impact on their lives. We have grown quickly since our birth in 2017, and we now support over 500 families a year with 11 members of staff and a turnover of approximately £500,000 pa.

As our Fundraising Manager you will need to be able to communicate these values to current and future funders and develop strong long-term relationships with those who share our values – and push back on those who don’t.
We are looking for someone with a passion for writing and communicating with donors of different kinds. You will lead on all our fundraising, mainly from trusts and foundations but also developing new partnerships with corporate partners, with the support of our CEO and the full backing of our trustees. We don’t believe in fundraisers who sit in ivory towers and have no connection to the work being funded. You will be embedded in the project, building relationships with frontline colleagues as well as mums and minis, so that you can tell our story to the best of your ability as you build our donor and income base.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporter Stewardship
- Respond to a range of fundraising enquiries in a timely manner, liaising with supporters via email and over the phone as appropriate.
- Send out ad hoc postal requests for fundraising materials from CoppaFeel!’s office.
- Work with the Individual Giving Manager in supporting the creation and postage of weekly thank you letters and gifts for donors. Supporting the thanking of corporate partners as appropriate.
- Ensure communications with supporters are recorded on our CRM system.
- Identify high performing fundraisers or supporters to submit for Chest Champion status to ensure recognition and celebration of their support.
- To attend events to represent CoppaFeel! and the Fundraising team.
- To support in the stewardship of small businesses based on our small partnership criteria including monitoring activity and stewarding through dedicated fundraising platforms.
Coordination of fundraising materials
- Support the Operations team in coordinating fulfilment of requests for postage of materials.
- Responsible for monitoring the inventory of fundraising materials within the office and our storage unit.
- Ensure our fundraising materials remain relevant and up to date with current fundraising guidance, CoppaFeel! health messaging and branding.
Administration
- Work with our Finance Executive to support accurate finance reconciling of donations and income streams along with general finance administration.
- Code the back end of JustGiving pages to ensure accurate income reconciliation and reporting.
- Create and maintain up-to-date records on our donor database.
- Pull accurate reports from our donor database as requested by the Fundraising team to maximise donor engagement and retention.
- Adhere to GDPR requirements.
- Participate in CoppaFeel! fundraising and team meetings.
- Identify any opportunities for the promotion of fundraising opportunities in our organisational social media coverage or CoppaDrop mail newsletter by highlighting gaps or availability to the relevant members of the Fundraising team.

As a Philanthropy Executive, you will work closely with the Philanthropy Manager supporting the development of a proactive and sustainable major donor programme. What are we looking for?
A very skilled communicator with the ability to write and present clearly and persuasively. THE ROLE
We’re looking for a qualified teacher or ex-teacher who is excited to play a hands-on role in our team, training and building relationships with Topical Talk teachers in the UK and internationally.
You’ll be responsible, alongside our Teacher Engagement and Development Lead, for supporting teachers to get the most from Topical Talk programmes. You’ll do this by building strong relationships with a range of individual teachers, school groups (for example multi-academy trusts) and organisations. You'll be confident communicating with and motivating teachers, and delivering inspiring teacher training in a range of settings in the UK and internationally. You’ll also work directly with 10- to 16-year-old students on a regular basis, to model lessons to teachers, deliver workshops and facilitate online discussions.
From time to time you will work with our content team to give input into the creation of interactive lessons on news topics. You’ll share ideas for class activities or topics, join idea-generation and feedback sessions, and occasionally draft lessons yourself.

Design and deliver teacher training and support to maximise impact of Topical Talk (40%)

- Monitor and evaluate the impact of Topical Talk in depth in these schools or communities, using evidence to recommend programme-wide changes

The idea of the role is for People with a lived experience from homelessness and or Substance misuse help and support and shape services along with specialist practitioners working for both SHP and CGL.

About the Role:
This role is a hybrid working role and is based at our Old Street offices, Islington, London for a minimum of one day a week and at our hospital co-location St Helliers Sutton subject to operational demand. As a Domestic Abuse Service Manager you will be:

As a Trust & Corporate Fundraising Officer, you will support thousands of young people each year by engaging with companies, trusts, foundations and other funding bodies and securing funding for our programmes. Our fundraising team create opportunities for thousands of underrepresented young people to access the jobs of the future. Salary: Band B, £24k to £30k, depending on skills and experience.
Benefits: 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays, pension (up to 10% employer contribution), life insurance (3 times annual salary), volunteering days, flexible working and well-being support and activities; including employee assistance, wellbeing and health programme, WeCare.
Hours: It is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours a week) role and we offer remote, hybrid and flexible working options (EDT have a UK network of regional offices West Midlands, Plymouth, Glasgow, Manchester, Hertfordshire and Southampton).
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds from companies, trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies.
· Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective partners from across companies, trusts and foundations.
· Research and maintain an on-going, sustainable pipeline of prospects including new trusts and foundations, companies and industry sectors.
· Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding.
· Build effective relationships with funders in order to secure long-term funding and support. Achieve income targets that support the delivery and fundraising goals.
· Keep accurate, relevant, timely records on our CRM and maintain regular communication with relevant teams including operations, finance, marketing and fundraising teams.
· Create inspiring reports and updates for funders that bring to life the impact of their support and demonstrate first class stewardship.
· Where appropriate, attend events to meet funders and/or promote EDT.
· Work closely with relevant teams to embed monitoring and evaluation throughout the funding process. Report on progress, results and income in a timely manner.
· Work with the Fundraising Manager with analysing trends to support the fundraising strategy.
Competencies and Attributes:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organisation skills - can manage workload and deadlines and proactively work to achieve timely delivery.
· Experience of securing funding from grant makers and/or companies.
· Experience of planning, preparing and writing high quality bids, funding applications and reports.
· Knowledge of managing funders' relationships. Knowledge of databases/data management, including producing reports.
· A strong team player, who can communicate effectively and engage colleagues at all levels and develop strong and productive relationships.
· Attention to detail and IT proficiency.
· Understanding of applicable legislation.
· A knowledge of the not for profit/charity sector.
· The ability to travel to locations across the UK on occasions to meet colleagues, funders and partners.
The successful candidate will be required to fulfil an enhanced DBS/PVG check.
