Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has helped reverse the decline of cricket in state schools with millions of boys and girls in over 13,000 state schools playing and learning through cricket.  Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a part time (22.5hrs per week/3 days) Operations Assistant on a fixed term contract for 3 years based out of our London office however with the option to work flexibly with some homeworking. 

The Operations Assistant at Chance to Shine plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our programmes aimed at promoting cricket in schools and communities across the country. This role involves a variety of administrative and operational tasks to support our mission of inspiring young people through cricket and helping them develop valuable life skills.

Key Responsibilities

•       To manage the annual Coach Training calendar, including booking facilities, arranging hotels, and onboarding candidates.

•       To ensure resources are uploaded to the e-learning platform.

•       To provide customer support for the e-learning platform.

•       To disseminate data cleans to all delivery partners every half-term.

•       To assist with Chance to Compete and Open Days.

Harris Hill is looking for an interim Fundraiser for 3 months, to cover an interim recruitment period.

This role is a fixed term contract, employed directly by the client. As it stands, you would ideally work full time with 2 days in the London office. However, if you are able to offer 3,4, or 5 days per week and even poetnitally remote based, we would like to hear from you.

The main focus of this role is to keep the applications flowing. As the post has been vacant, they are a little behind, so this need to be caught up so that things can keep moving and in a more stable position when the permanent post holder is found. These applications are high level 5 figures plus, but will include some grant management.

The focus of the organisation is disability but we are open to finding someone from other areas within the charity remit.

Role Profile

Role summary

This role is multifaceted, helping Cornwall VSF to deliver our contracts effectively.It is envisaged that this role will initially be solely focussed on the People in Mind contract.It is anticipated that once the Programme Lead is embedded into the PiM service, that a second contract will be added to their portfolio.

Key Duties

Programme management.

Create, update, communicate and manage the overarching programme plan, contract risk register monitoring, budget, and evaluation - reporting progress on a quarterly basis.Ensure the plan reflects the bid and where plans have diversified, ensure rational is communicated to the partnership and commissioners.

Develop and manage trusted relationships all levels to ensure effective networks, communication and collaboration are created, nurtured, and enhanced.

Develop excellent relationships with ICS stakeholders (including NHS, local authority, and commercial organisations). Manage relationships all levels to ensure effective networks, communication and collaboration are created, nurtured, and enhanced.

Work with VSF’s Leadership and Finance Officer to ensure the budget lines you are responsible for are effectively managed, monitoring spend against profile on at minimum a quarterly basis.If underspends are incurred work with the partnership to ensure funds are re-prioritised.

Develop and oversee the referral processes and reporting.

Ensure that points of referral such as the Community Gateway have the information needed about the providers to make accurate referral assessments.

Provide guidance to partnership about enquiry routes.

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of each separate delivery element.

Develop and oversee various levels of governance within the programme, e.g. steering group, programme managers, people with lived experience.

Formalise the governance arrangements for the contracts, working closely with the Steering Group to ensure governance enables ambitions.

Ensure all partners are meeting commitments in their bid proposals and contracts.Lead on partner relationship management.

Where gaps in provision are identified facilitate partnership discussions and feed into learning cycle to ensure decisions are made in a timely fashion.If the partnership decides to add new core partners, ensure that a detailed specification is created.

Manage delivery of the insight and impact of the programmes including a Human Learning Systems approach to insight, and Social Return on Investment approach to impacts, working closely with VSFs Intelligence and Impact specialist.

Proactively identify and develop emerging initiatives and opportunities for the VCSE sector, relevant to your contracts.Horizon scan for additional opportunities.

Organise and facilitate engagement events with the wider VCSE sector, including sessions with ICB/Cornwall Council and colleagues from outside the sector.

Work with senior leadership to develop and manages processes for conflict management, safeguarding and crisis management, quality assurance, provider underperformance, complaints, provider diversification or negotiations for provider service amendments.

Grant Funds

Lead on Cornwall Community Foundation contract liaison ensuring grant funding is delivered as planned, that the learning approach is embedded, reporting provides the data needed and that VSF has the communications content required.

Work with our learning partner to ensure learning events are well plan and that learning questions and plans are available well ahead of time.

Annually set the priority target areas for VCSE grant funding budgets, by facilitating discussion with the partnership and the Cornwall VSF team.

Ensure that learning is fully considered by the steering group and that delivery changes as a result of learning.

Ensure appropriate performance, impact and financial reporting processes are established for any grant elements within VSF’s management, governance procedures, and standards.

Personal health budgets

Working with wider VCSE partners, create a specification of what the programme requires from a PHB delivery provider, that includes guidance, process, forms, data, analysis, follow up with recipient and data capture and analysis from the follow up.

Work with learning partner to determine a learning approach for PHB.

Develop reporting measures for PHB and update information quarterly.

Human learning system approach

Work with learning partner to create a plan for the learning approach that covers all aspects of the partnership and on prioritise learning outcome that can be accommodated.

Facilitate the steering group considering learning and discussing potential changes to plans and service delivery.

Engage and lead on elements when required for programme managers, practitioners and CWF grantees learning sessions.

Reporting

Work with the Programme Coordinator and Intelligence and Impact lead to ensure the programme is capture all data required to enable continuous improvement of the programme.

Ensure that data is analysed to demonstrate important intelligence and impact and the relevant information is shared with Comms officers to feed into the Communications plan.

Lead on reporting to wider partnership on collective performance.

Lead on quarterly reporting to commissioners at quarterly online or face to face meetings.

Ensure end of programme reporting offers evidence of the value and impact of the partnership in readiness for re-commissioning

Communications

Work with the Communications (comms) Officer to create a communications strategy and delivery plan that will be shared with partners and funders.

Work with the Comms Officer to ensure that comms reporting metrics are determined so that appropriate data can be captured.

Oversee the creation of a comms brand strategy and guidance for the partnership, comms templates such as impact stories, case studies, requests for comms support, partner comms plans.

Ensure the comms officer works with partners to develop comms plans for their element of the service and that partners report back on their comms activities, this should be collated for impactful reporting to commissioners and for analysis on what has provided good return on either time or money spent.

Oversee the creation of social media channels for the contract and the social media strategy.

Work with Comms Officer to determine how to spend the modest comms budget, prioritising where the money is used and assessing the impact of the spend.

People with lived experience

Work with the Comms Officer to ensure that the voices of people with lived experiences are embedded in the strategy of the programme, by working either with other organisations such as Healthwatch and wider VCSE partners or by cultivating a specific programme group if necessary.

Ensure that this is embedded for the lifetime of the programme and that people with lived experience have a route to feedback about the services.

When feedback/steering is provided, ensure it is fed into the learning cycle.

General working requirements

 Main duties and responsibilities:

1) Strategic Direction
Support the strategic development of the Thames21 Improving Rivers Portfolio of work, in liaison with the Head of Improving Rivers and the Chief Executive.

o Support development of Strategic Environmental Markets and support/lead development of large/strategically important government bids/funding for Improving Rivers in partnership with other areas

o Development and support strategic partnerships to achieve the organisation goals.

4) Work with the Head of Improving Rivers and Senior Management Team to ensure the organisation is performing effectively and that its systems and processes support the successful implementation of the Five-Year Plan.

o Ensure the organisation is financially sustainable and carry out accurate financial management, auditing invoicing, reporting and planning.

As a Navigator, you will be assisting veterans who are furthest from employment to engage in meaningful activity as they look to gradually progress back towards work. Based at your home, with regular travel, including some overnight stays at our Richmond offices. The Navigator is a non-clinical role focused on supporting Veterans with mental or physical health conditions. The role aims to support them to overcome various factors impacting their lives, to achieve improved well-being and reduced social isolation. Clients of the service may present with issues around housing, accessing relevant health care services, substance misuse, education and training, financial concerns, and benefits, amongst others.

Our GOF team sits within the larger operations function under the Director of Finance & Operations. The team is responsible for managing Elrha's financial planning, management and reporting; and leads on the operational aspects of grant management.

As our new Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our programmes and activities run smoothly and efficiently. Supporting the Head of GOF, you will complete financial activities and reports, manage statutory and project audits plus develop (and improve) financial management processes. 

You will be analytical, resourceful and have strong technical accounting, financial management and reporting experience. It is essential that you are either a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience. 

Your application will need to demonstrate: 

• Experience in the financial management of grants from institutional donors within the International Aid Sector. 
• Experience of managing restricted expenditure and reporting to institutional donors. 
• Experience in the management of budgets and financial management information with complex funding arrangements. 
• An understanding of grantee financial management and compliance 
• Strong understanding of risk management and audit principles 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, specifically Excel 
• An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.

Purpose of the Assistant Designer role:

The Assistant Designer will support the Exhibitions and Interpretation department to develop and deliver graphic design across the Museum, working closely with the Designer. They will design both permanent and temporary exhibition graphics, as well as designing wayfinding signage for the Museum sites and supporting wider Museum departments with design requests, such as events marketing materials.

The Assistant Designer will support the delivery of the Museum’s Midlands Development Programme, developing and delivering graphic design for exhibition updates and wayfinding graphics, as well as supporting co-creation activities with local communities.

Key responsibilities of our Assistant Designer include:

• Designing and managing production of exhibition graphics, wayfinding and signage at both Museum sites, including permanent and temporary exhibitions 3
• Supporting Museum departments with graphic design production as required, working closely with the Communications and Marketing, Retail, Learning and Engagement, Visitor Experience and Development teams
• Responding to graphic design helpdesk requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring signage at both public sites is up to date, liaising with the Visitor Experience teams
• Upholding the Museum Style Guide in all graphic design • To ensure that graphic design is accessible for all visitors
• Ensuring all projects are delivered within agreed budgets to defined deadlines to the highest quality standards of display and interpretation
• Testing new ideas and ways of engaging wider audiences with Museum stories and collections through innovative graphic design

What we are looking for in our Assistant Designer:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in graphic design
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and other 3D and 2D design software
• Displays enthusiasm around activities, adopting a positive approach when interacting with others, and motivating team members
• Uses experience and knowledge of standard practices, procedures or customs to evaluate problems and make appropriate decisions/provide appropriate advice
• Is able to organise own activities to deliver to expected standards and targets.
• Demonstrates pro-activity in seeking opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and experience within own area
• Understands the Museum’s purpose, vision and strategic objectives, and how their own role, their team and other teams within the Museum, supports their achievement.
