LSCft Charitable Fund is the charity linked to the Trust which covers donations for patients, service users, carers and colleague’s wellbeing.
The post is an important link between the Trust and the local community, facilitating fundraising across corporate and public initiatives, stakeholder and corporate giving and launch our corporate and sponsorship opportunities to local businesses as part of our fundraising plan.
Due to our expansive geography, many of our colleagues who work here are also residents, families of service users and patients, carers for their loved ones and may be service users themselves. Their wellbeing is essential. Raising funds for the Charity will include looking after and enhancing their wellbeing.
You will require experience of fundraising, bid writing and charity law and display considerable energy and enthusiasm to inspire colleagues, patients, service users, families, visitors and the local community to choose LSCft as their preferred charity in Lancashire and South Cumbria.
You will also work with local businesses, colleagues and volunteer networks to develop fundraising initiatives, activities and events. You will ensure that fundraising ideas and high profile events are in place to generate funds to desired targets in the first year of launch.
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, extensive fundraising experience and proven ability to create plans, strategies and income across different platforms. You will be a keen people person, be good at motivating, influencing and encouraging charity activities and be confident in your approach and able to work with minimal supervision, taking ownership in this role as our expert in the field of fundraising.
This vacancy has arisen as the result of the retirement of our current Fundraising & Marketing Director in Spring 2025. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to take over this pivotal role within the charity.
Based across our two sites in North Weald and Earls Colne (Colchester), you will oversee the strategic management of our charity's fundraising, marketing, and communications. This is an exciting role, joining our newly formed Digital and Content team. Therefore, the redevelopment project aims to create a cohesive website experience with clear user journeys and new functionality.

Your role
This role will be required to manage a team of face-to-face fundraisers who will sign up regular supporters within a defined geographical area (two main hubs are in Newcastle and Scarborough) and raise vital long-term funding for the charity. This will include opportunities to work alongside other specialist teams including our volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards, playing an integral part in reaching both local and team income targets and contributing towards the wider objectives of the RNLI.
As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:
- Recruit, train and performance manage a team of motivated Face to Face Fundraisers
- Manage and develop a portfolio of fundraising locations in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland and Yorkshire areas
- Measure performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) i.e. targets and budget
- Create and execute detailed delivery plans, mitigating for risks and opportunities
- Maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships
About you
Working at the frontline of our fundraising activities, you’ll have excellent communication skills, people management capabilities, proven track record of working to targets and a passion to manage a team who engage with the beach-going public and event visitors to get their commitment for regular support for the cause.
You’ll be an effective team player with a pragmatic and solution-focused approach to problem solving and a calm approach to a busy workload. You’ll be positive, confident, determined, resilient, with very strong communication skills and naturally outgoing.
You’ll be a self-starter who can lead an energetic and innovative team to success. Able to adhere to codes of conduct, policies and be Fundraising Regulator compliant in all that you do and deliver. You’ll be flexible and prepared to work out of office hours with considerable travel throughout the year, peaking through the summer months. Substantial annual leave during the summer would not be practical for this role.
To be considered as the Face-to-Face Manager (North East), you will need:
- Ideally, proven experience and success in face-to-face fundraising. This will either have been gained working for a charity or a fundraising agency or regional sales experience

Our Strategy Enablement directorate brings together five core enabling support functions - Finance, Tech & Data, Governance, Planning and Property and HR Delivery, where this particular role sits. About the role

In partnership with 150 primary schools, we support families across the UK to enjoy learning together at home. Families are motivated to sustain and enjoy frequent and positive interactions together.
Our parental engagement journey with schools starts by focussing on reading. Our digital reading log is an inclusive way for schools and families to record reading, replacing physical reading records.
Our full Maths and English programme builds on the positive habits fostered by our reading log. It replaces traditional Maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.
We are working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them. Learnings are disseminated through the Parental Engagement Forum and amplified through the Fair Education Alliance.
About the Role
There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to grow our Fundraising team to the next level.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team to deliver Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be strengthening our existing funding pipeline through prospects research and managing the donor database. They will also be responsible for drafting compelling applications and reports for new and existing donors. They will develop and adapt our fundraising resources and provide wider support to the team.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will also be responsible for managing Learning with Parents external communications, including creating and posting engaging blogs and social media posts, drafting the Annual Impact Report and managing the organisation’s brand guidelines.
Lastly, the Fundraising and Communications Officer will provide logistical support for the Parental Engagement Forum.

About you

What is the role?
As the Systems and Data Analyst you will play a crucial role in supporting our internal teams by ensuring the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of our data systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our teams are able to work effectively by administering, troubleshooting and supporting our data systems and work collaboratively to analyse data, improve systems and provide actionable insights that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
You will work with stakeholders to ensure the provision of accurate and timely reports and be able to analyse the data produced in a meaningful way.
There will also be the opportunity to work on new projects and initiatives to support information and data flow across the hospice.
About you:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience in the use and management of IT systems, collecting data, reporting KPI’s and dashboard reports

The Development Manager is a new and important role at The NewBridge Project, which will support the effective management of fundraising and reporting across our work.
You will support the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy and evaluation framework, and work alongside a small and committed staff team to understand, evaluate and champion our work through compelling written reports and applications to new funders.

- Undertake research to identify potential new sources of funding from a variety of sources.

We have been operating in Ealing since 1994, and are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year! Our Befriending Project supports people who are isolated and experiencing chronic loneliness. It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person.
Key Tasks:
- Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
- Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. - Oversee and monitor effective and efficient administrative, financial, contractual and communication systems within your areas of responsibilities working with other charity senior leaders.Ensure all KPI’s relevant to the role within our strategic plan are met.
- Prepare board and sub-committee reports, attending meetings as/when required. Attend meetings of the trustee board as required.

Essential Criteria
- Proven leadership skills with experience of creating a positive, values-driven working environment in which equality and diversity are professionally managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff are empowered and motivated to do their best.
- Knowledge and current experience of engagement and income generation leadership at a strategic level.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of project management leadership, principles, and practices.
- Experience of managing people issues such as absence management, disciplinary and grievance management, annual reviews, supervisions, goal setting.
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Commitment to reflective practise and continuing professional development.
- Degree level education or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrable ability as adaptable and exceptional communicator, delivering and accepting information at a variety of people levels (verbal, written, presentation).
- Ability to analyse, understand, explain, and make recommendations based on complex information.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite to an advanced level including excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Other requirements
- The normal duties of the role may involve travel on a regular or occasional basis. It is a condition of employment that the post holder can exercise satisfactory travel mobility to fulfil the obligations of the role.
- Be familiar with all relevant health and safety, operational, personnel, customer care, GDPR, and financial procedures, ensuring that all statutory obligations are complied with, especially in relation to licensing laws and first aid.
- In-depth understanding of the business of running a charity or voluntary sector organisation including reporting requirements
- Complete a satisfactory DBS check. (This can be applied for on appointment).
