About the Role
As part-time Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.
Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
· Ensure client safety, wellbeing, and adherence to safeguarding and emergency procedures.
· Deliver high-quality risk assessments, support plans, and one-to-one/group support to build client resilience.
· Foster partnerships with local agencies to support clients while following data protection protocols.
· Engage flexibly and creatively with clients, encouraging their involvement in decisions and participation in activities.
· Support clients in accessing education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities.
· Maintain health and safety standards, prepare accommodations for new clients, and oversee accurate financial records.
· Collaborate with team members, volunteers, and attend training and meetings as required, ensuring contract compliance.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· Experience working with young people or those affected by homelessness.
· Understanding of the needs of individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or the care system.
· Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.
· Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills, and commitment to diversity, equality, and professional integrity.
· Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively, and reflect on practices for continuous development.

The role of an Animal Welfare Officer can be very rewarding, making a real difference to the well-being of animals in our branch area. However, it can also be demanding. You will be dealing with friendly animals but also frightened, injured or wild animals.
The successful candidate must be people-friendly. You will deal with people from all walks of life and sometimes distressed owners. You must remain calm and gathered, acting professionally at all times.

The Animal Welfare Officer will work alongside the Branch Manager and our committed board of Trustees to deliver the RSPCA Surrey East’s vision and strategy.
Primary role:
- Support our local inspectors, dealing with animal rescues and transportation
- Administer Veterinary financial assistance for pet owners on benefits
- Manage our cat pods in various branches
- Establish and manage the fostering and rehoming scheme
- Increase engagement with our community
- Support food banks with pet food and equipment
- Support the Branch Manager with fundraising and information events

Essential
- Have a passion for animal welfare and a desire to promote and achieve the aims of the RSPCA
- Experienced in working with and handling animals, both domestic and wild
- Ability to be resilient in emotionally charged and challenging situations
- Hold a full, valid UK driving license
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to cover a wide geographic location and multiple demands
- High level of IT competence - capable of creating proposals, spreadsheets and completing reports
- Ability to create presentations and deliver them to different audiences comfortably and eloquently
- Ability to build and sustain mutually supportive relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Confident and effective communication skills with a range of audiences including the general public, local businesses and volunteers
- Energetic and physically fit (regular heavy lifting is involved), comfortable working at heights, from ladders and in water
Preferred
- Registered Vet Nurse or holds an equivalent qualification

We are seeking a dynamic leader who will drive the strategic leadership and delivery of all OHC functions and lead Volunteering Services across the Trust. A key focus will be leading on major gift fundraising and major donor relations through an ambitious and sustainable fundraising strategy.
You'll lead our charity team, overseeing all operations and ensuring delivery of strategic and operational plans. Your financial oversight will ensure resources are managed effectively, and you will be responsible for producing the charity’s Annual Report and Accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Leading on major gifts fundraising, building relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners, you’ll develop a strong pipeline of major donors securing gifts of £5,000 and above while promoting legacy giving and corporate partnerships.

Main duties of the job

- Develop and implement a charity strategy for OHC and other relevant supporting strategies in collaboration with the Board
- With the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, provide vision and leadership for the charity setting the overall vision and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with its mission and values
- Take ownership and lead on major gifts fundraising including solicitation and stewardship plans to establish a portfolio of major donors and prospects to include High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts & Foundations and corporates. A specific focus is on securing donations in excess of £5,000 from major donors by initiating, promoting legacy giving and developing long term relationships between supporters, prospective supporters and Oxford Health Trust/Charity
- Ensure appropriate governance is in place for reporting to the Charity Committee and the Charity Board on the charity’s activities.
- Lead, manage and support the Charity Team, empowering them to develop and deliver to the highest level.
- Developing and implementing volunteer roles across the organisation in line with the Volunteer Strategy and organisational strategy and ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place for the management of volunteers.

Key responsibilities
The Individual Giving Manager will contribute towards Ex Cathedra’s ongoing sustainability and success by maximising philanthropic income:
Strategy and research
• build, maintain and continually seek to expand a pipeline of prospects capable of making gifts at a high 4-, 5- and 6-figure level, making sure that all progress is tracked, monitored and reviewed on a routine basis
• explore our existing data to identify major gift prospects, working in line with data protection law and fundraising regulations
Individual giving
• work closely with the General Manager and Individual Giving Officer to further develop and implement strategies that will increase major gifts and legacy donations to Ex Cathedra, dovetailing with the Trusts and Foundations consultant where appropriate
• arrange and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors to help build and progress meaningful relationships through regular dialogue
• use their judgement to involve the artistic director, trustees and colleagues where most beneficial/advantageous
• align prospective donors with high-value funding opportunities for the performance programme, education and participation work, or area of greatest need according to the interests of the donor
• promote and encourage giving towards the establishment of an Endowment Fund that will provide long-term financial sustainability for the organisation
• meet agreed targets for activity (i.e. number of prospect meetings and solicitations) and income generation (i.e. funds raised)
• personally manage the portfolio of higher level donors and prospective donors.
Communications
• manage the delivery of specific appeals to prospects and donors
• work with the General Manager and freelance designer to devise and produce materials in support of Ex Cathedra’s fundraising aims
• create and refresh inspiring copy for inclusion in print, on our website and other relevant materials
Other
• record and maintain progress, ensuring that income can be projected as accurately as possible, liaising with the Finance Manager as appropriate
• carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by the General Manager
About you
You will be a skilled fundraiser, able to help us identify, recruit and manage a pipeline of individual donors, capable of giving upwards of £5,000 to support Ex Cathedra’s agreed strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
• demonstrable experience in a similar role
• direct experience of securing gifts and donations at 4- and 5-figure level from individuals by initiating, building and stewarding relationships
• experience of developing engaging and attractive gift opportunities; and scoping, developing and articulating fundraising projects
• experience of working in a target-driven environment
Knowledge
• knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising and Donor Relations (including stewardship)
• knowledge of the Arts and/or Charity funding landscape and UK philanthropic trends
• knowledge and understanding of donor motivations, and how to align philanthropic interests with organisational priorities
• a sound working knowledge of data protection legislation and national fundraising best practice
Skills and abilities
• good organisation and planning skills, with an ability to prioritise the things that matter most
• excellent communication skills with an ability to persuade and influence with tact and diplomacy
• an ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
